The Three Kingdoms

The Three Kingdoms RP

Hi everyone!

This is my first RP I've made, so tell me if I do something wrong.

So anyways,

There are three kingdoms; the Dragon Kingdom, the Pegasus kingdom, and the Griffin Kingdom. (If anyone has any better ideas for names for the kingdoms, please let me know.).   Each kingdom has its own specially trained force of Riders.  The Dragon Riders, the Pegasus Riders, and the Griffin Riders.  These Riders are taken at the age of eight, bonded to their creature, and trained for 8-10 years.

There is a city in the center of the three kingdoms, in which negotiations and feasts and such are held between the kingdoms.  In this city, each year, the eignt year olds are brought from all three kingdoms on a certain day and set a number of hard tests to see if they're capable of becoming Riders.  Those chosen go back to their kingdoms, and are brought to the Hatcheries to see if they can bond to a (griffin, pegasus, or dragon.).  If they do, then they are trained as Riders.

Twice a year on the summer solstice and the winter solstice, Riders and people from all the kingdoms meet for three days of feasting and fun.  The three kingdoms have always been friendly, but now a special treasure is stolen from the Griffin King's treasury,  there are raids on the Dragon Kingdom's border near the Griffin Kingdoms border, and the Pegasus Kingdom's Messenger* turns up dead in the Dragon Kingdom.  Suspicions are growing and it won't long before the three kingdoms are at war with each other.

Okay, I hope the plot was understandable.  You can be a Rider in one of the kingdoms.  There are four species of dragons: Ice, Fire, Speed, and Rammers. (Rammers are very strong and can knock huge things over). There are also four species of griffins: Water(they have webbed feet and can stay underwater for a long time), Mountain (they are grey and rough looking, can almost blend in with the rocks, they're strong and can carry big boulders to drop on their enemies), Fire(part phoenix, can set their wings on fire), and Poison(their claws are covered in poison and they're quiet and fast).  Lastly, the different species of pegusai: Fire( they're immune to it, and they're flame-colored), Light( gold-colered, the undersides of their wings are so shiny they can reflect light into the eyes of their enemies), Stealth(very quiet, dark covered, pretty agile), Wind(super fast, can hover like hummingbirds, misty gray colored).

And that's it!

Here the spots available:

Ambassador(one per kingdom) (They do all the negotiating)

*Messenger(one per kingdom) (They carry important messages between the kingdoms  for the ambassadors and other stuff)

Riders(3-4 per kingdom)

All right, here's the Charrie sheet

"Clatee, honey, that was not the right thing to do. You know better."

"I wanted to know what was going on! And I didn't charge him actual money...."

I was in an argumwnt with my parents just inside my house. Er....mantion. The door stood, looming threateningly over the covretaion. Its polished golden metal catching the light and shimmering over my pail skin. Making it even pailer. "Clateea Burr Firewing. That is not what a dragon rider would do. And a noble too!"

"Im not a dragon rider yet, dad." I snorted impatiently.

"Yes, the ever more you have to show respect!"

"Dad nobals are not supirior to every other dragon rider."

He was silent. "Yes but you should have much more manners and respect then the other filthy scum. Clateea, do you hear me?!"

Right now Bella was scraping at the door, beggining to come in. I was turned in her direction. "No not the door! Not the gold-woven doooooooorrrrr!!" My mom scrambled over there banging on it. "Go away filthy rammer! Oh we should've never let this thing in the house! If only you chose a fire dragon, not a poor, filthy Rammer dragon!"

Enrage grew inside of me. "She is the BIGGEST treasure that this family has ever seen! She is mor RUCH THEN THE KING! YOU DO NOT TALK TO MY DRAGON LIKE THAT!"

"Clateea! Go to your room this instant! Your grounded. YOU WONT BE ATENDING THE FESTIVAL!"

My heart shrunk as I stared at my dad. "No festiva-..."

"Now!" He inturupted.

Holding back fustrrated tears, I slunked up the winding stares to my golden bedroom. Perfect.....but not in the least.

An icy chill surrounds my fellow ambassadors and I. No, not literally, but figuratively. I don't know what's wrong. But something seems ... tense. I bite my lip. "Er ..." I still can't think of anything. Conroy bumps my arm, trying to get me to loosen up.

I look around, frantically searching for a topic to use as an icebreaker. "Lots of people have gathered today, eh?" Conroy looks pleased with my efforts, but bumps my arm again. Renee shrugs. "No more than last time."

I supress a groan. My job may not be the easiest, but that doesn't mean I need to blow up. Actually, my number one priority ought to be not to get mad at anyone.

Conroy glares at me. "Is everything going well? I mean-- oh, never mind." Loren looks midly curious, but mostly bored. Renee eyes my suspicously at this. "Yes, just fine. How about over with you?"

I think the Pegusus kingdom's colors should be silver and rose pink, the griffon kingdom's colors should be gold and a blazing mid-orange, and the dragon kingdom's colors should be a deep bronze and emerald. (Note: the gold, silver, and bronze are NOT about who's the best kingdom ur anything, I just thought it would be cool to have metallic colors. ;-))

Ryn~

My eyes blink open at the first glimmer of dawn, and realize that I'm awake, and life is real, and it's not a dream anymore. I throw my sheets off my body, letting them float their way to the ground. I yawn, and grab my clothes from the single drawer on my room. It used to belong to a chest, but, well, let's just say I didn't need the chest that much anyway. I pull my boots over my leggings, and my cape over my head. I make my way out the door, and into the makeshift stable, where Nightstorm is waiting. His black fur glistens as the sunlight hits it,  and he whinnies and shakes his head as I come foward. "Nightstorm! My beauty!" Nightstorm shakes his head and flexes his wings. "You ready to fly, boy?" He whinnies once more, and trots over to me. He nuzzles my outstretched hand, and his blue eyes glimmer with excitement. I get a good grip on the Pegasus' shoulders, and swing my legs over his back. I tighten my knees around Nightstorm's body, and hold on to his mane. "Lets fly, Stormy!" He flaps his powerful wings, sending ripples of wind through the air around us. We begin to rise into the air, and Stormy's silver hooves beat the air beneath us. I sit up straighter on my horse's back, and let the wind sweep back my hair. I squint as the wind stings my face, and I feel a rush of adrenaline as Nightstorm weaves his way through puffy white clouds, up, down, sharp turn to the right. I tap his sides with my heels. "Come on, Stormy! Let's fly to the sun!" Nightstorm flaps his wings harder, then stops, spreading them out, and we soar over patchwork country, golden fields and dense forests. The way I feel when I fly is the best feeling in the world. When I'm up here, gliding through sun-kissed sky, on my Pegasus' back, feeling the wind in my hair and the golden light glimmering on Nightstorm's silver gilded feathers, that's when I'm happiest. I know I was born to do this. This is where I belong.

§

Stormy lands lightly on the ground, disappointed that we had to end our flight so soon. He trots over to his stable, and I follow. Today is the festival. I'll be going with Nightstorm. But I'm nervous. Strange things have been happening in the kingdom's lately. They are starting to turn against each other. We might be on the verge of war.

I like the Pegasus colours silver and pail pink, but I think it should be silver and black. I'll go with silver and pink if no one else likes the idea. The gryphon colours should be gold and bronze, and the dragon Kyndom should be a dark red and light blue. The signs should be a silver Pegasus with dark blue eyes against a black background with five silver stars. The stars could maybe represent the cities in the kingdom or the wars they one. The gryphon flag should be a bronze gryphon with silver eyes against a golden background with dark brown mountain peaks. The dragon flag should be a red dragon with golden eyes against a blue background with orange fire.

Tell me if you like and I'll draw them.

~Clateea

I toss aside the silk curtains around my bed and through my head on the golden lace pillow. I scream, letting the tears fall into the delicate fabric. When I'm done I turn around on the wool blanket and face my bed roof. It was painted with dragons. Rammers standing strong in the right ckrrner mountains, ice dragons twirling to the left corner in the wind, speed dragons racing across the bottom, and strong, powerful looking fire dragons on a sharp ledge smack in the middle. I threw my pillow at them angrily.

You see, my family are the nobal Firewings. Every time one of us chooses a dragon it hast to be a fire dragon or else the nobal blood is disgraced. You see, fire dragons are considered the most dominant species of dragon, there for the one most fit for nobals. The next are ice dragons, they can be an acceptance as a nobal dragon, they also see themselves as superior. Many nobal names have Fire or Ice in them. The bloodlines descended from long ago messengers and ambassadors usually have speed in their last names. Many poor people have rammer. Rammers are considered invaluable and filthy in the nobal people's towns. A Rammer disgraced your family bloodline.

In my opinion, Rammers are the most superior species. With their additional smile and strong build, it would be hard not the believe so.

I clone from bed and look up to the top of my bed. There is a saddle for a fire dragon and other needs like fire repelant. When I chose Bella, my parents refused to go down town to the poor part and by a Rammer saddle. They said I could deal with what I had and make it work. The dimond-ebbed armour set and gold-plated dragon jewellery were useless too.

Uggggggggggg! How I hate being a nobal! When you think life is perfect and there is no such thing as imperfections, or else you would be a disgrace. No, no fun allowed either.

After spending half of my life stealing from the rich and transferring it to the poor, even before I met Bella, I could know what real perfection, what real happiness was like. That's another reason I go down there often. I have many friends and people who know me, for me, I'm one of them even with my expensive jewellery and clothing.

It took me awhile to fit in and learn their life stile, but once I learned it, it was horrid going back to my parents.

Then one day I found Bella walking back on the streets.

And since then my whole life has changed for the better.

Rammers weren't greedy or needy. They weren't perfect but imperfect all at the same time. They were caring and respectful and funny, and most of all...

There was a scraping on the large window that was across from my bed. I turned, walked over, and threw the curtains open. I smiled.

Loyal.

Bella was making an effort staying straight. She looked at me and tapped the window. I unclipped the locks and found the window up all the way. Then I backed up, and without hesitation, took a running start and jumped.

I had a tingling sensation in my stomach as I fell. My hair floated in the wind. My eyes teared with the wind. And there I felt like a dragon. Like I had wings. And I could do anything I wanted with wings.

I landed heavily and Bella. She snorted and snuck a few feet because of my weight. "Thank you, Bella. Now let's go to that festival. She looked up and licked me, her big dragon tounge dealing over my face, before, despite the pain and struggle, zoomed off into the clouds.

Before long she had found an air current high above the cities and towns bellow. I could tell that her wing was thriving from the look in her eyes. Buy gliding didn't hurt as much as taking off or landing. I asked her a bunch if she would like to take a brake and land, but she just snorted stubbornly and kept of the current.

I smiled. Now that's my favourite dragon.

She knows something. Or has heard something. My heart beats faster and faster as I struggle to find words.

"N-no. Everything is fine. We don't need help or anything. I mean, if there was something going on, which there's not, I would tell you. Right? Right."

I know I just totally blew that. Conroy looks up at me, worry leaking out of his eyes. No. I can't tell them. I'm under strict orders not to mention it. The stolen artifact.

In fact, I almost wasn't allowed to come today. But now I'm a spy. Of a sort.

Which, I am probably the worst person in the world that you could pick. But I can't do anything about that. I was instructed to come and keep an eye out, looking around, but I seem the most suspicious as of now.

And I don't know what to do.

I like your ideas for the symbols, Claaws, but I think each kingdom should have one if the metallic colors. How about Silver and ultramarine for Pegasus, Gold and fiery red for gryphon, and bronze and emerald for dragon? Or maybe switch to bronze and red for Gryphon, and Gold and emerald for dragon?

~Ryn

Nightstorm is going to need some festive armor for the festival, and all he has right now is regular armor. Maybe the armory can have some made in time. I'm terrible at drawing, but I manage to scribble a small donkey-like creature with wings and some crudely shaped pieces of armor. Still, it's better than nothing. Their the Pegasus kingdom's colors, with the Pegasus seal on it. I hop on Stormy's back and head off in the direction of the armory.

sorry its so short. Couldn't think of anything else.

I wrote that Dragons have green and bronze, Griffins have orange and gold, and Pegasi use purple and silver.

Renee-

The armory takes its sweet time.

All I needed was a laurel wreath in bronze, secondary color of the Dragon Clan.

A boy enters. He appears to be from the Pegasus tribe.

"Hello," I greet him, "I'm... Renee."

"oh, um, hi, I'm Ryn." I stutter. I'm not that good with talking to people. "Nice to meet you." Renee says. "Oh, Ya, right. You too." Ugg! Why am I so awkward!? I hand the person that comes out if the back room my drawing. "I'd like to have these pieces made." I say politely. I'm not as bad with buisness people as I am with... Girls. "What is it?" The man asks. He's tall and burly, on the heavy side, with a long brown beard and hair to match. He has a gruff voice that would make you feel like you've broken something, even if he thanked you. "It's armor! Can't you tell?"

"no."

"Oh, well, here's this plate here, see, and the other parts are here," I continue to point to the parts of my sketch. "We don't usually have people turnin' in sketches." The gruff voice says again. I feel my face redden. Sense I live secluded in the forest, I don't know a whole lot about these things. "Oh, well, I just wanted to make sure you got every piece the way I wanted it." I tell the man.

"Well don't expect me to do everything the right way when I can't tell a hoof plate from a breastplate." He mutters on his way to the back room.  This so embarrasing. Why did I even bother to turn in a sketch anyway? I mean, I know I'm horrible at drawing, but he didn't have to rub it in! Renee is staring at me. "Heh-heh, gotta run, I guess. They'll take forever on this order." I smear a cheesy smile on my face. She doesn't buy it. "Wait," she says

I don't like the green and bronze for dragons. None of the dragon types are even green!!!!!!! I think it should be bronze and pail blue. Or lightning white. Or yellow.

Fine with the others though.

Ok, how about the dragon colors are bronze and Crimson, the Pegasus colors are silver and purple (I like the purple Brookeira) and the gryphons are gold and pale blue? Or we can stick with gold and fiery orange. What do you think Claaws? Are you ok with the bronze for dragons, and you just don't like the green? Or do not like either of them?

Ngg... I really don't like red for dragons. It's too obvious.

How about blue and bronze? I'd be OK with that.

I think our characters should somehow all meet up at the festival. Like maybe something happens that makes it so that they all come to the same place. Or maybe they get this wierd feeling that they have to be somewhere, and they see each other. I don't know about you guys, but it sort of feels like we're all writing our own stories and not really interacting much with each other's characters.
