The Three Kingdoms

The Three Kingdoms RP

Hi everyone!

This is my first RP I've made, so tell me if I do something wrong.

So anyways,

There are three kingdoms; the Dragon Kingdom, the Pegasus kingdom, and the Griffin Kingdom. (If anyone has any better ideas for names for the kingdoms, please let me know.).   Each kingdom has its own specially trained force of Riders.  The Dragon Riders, the Pegasus Riders, and the Griffin Riders.  These Riders are taken at the age of eight, bonded to their creature, and trained for 8-10 years.

There is a city in the center of the three kingdoms, in which negotiations and feasts and such are held between the kingdoms.  In this city, each year, the eignt year olds are brought from all three kingdoms on a certain day and set a number of hard tests to see if they're capable of becoming Riders.  Those chosen go back to their kingdoms, and are brought to the Hatcheries to see if they can bond to a (griffin, pegasus, or dragon.).  If they do, then they are trained as Riders.

Twice a year on the summer solstice and the winter solstice, Riders and people from all the kingdoms meet for three days of feasting and fun.  The three kingdoms have always been friendly, but now a special treasure is stolen from the Griffin King's treasury,  there are raids on the Dragon Kingdom's border near the Griffin Kingdoms border, and the Pegasus Kingdom's Messenger* turns up dead in the Dragon Kingdom.  Suspicions are growing and it won't long before the three kingdoms are at war with each other.

Okay, I hope the plot was understandable.  You can be a Rider in one of the kingdoms.  There are four species of dragons: Ice, Fire, Speed, and Rammers. (Rammers are very strong and can knock huge things over). There are also four species of griffins: Water(they have webbed feet and can stay underwater for a long time), Mountain (they are grey and rough looking, can almost blend in with the rocks, they're strong and can carry big boulders to drop on their enemies), Fire(part phoenix, can set their wings on fire), and Poison(their claws are covered in poison and they're quiet and fast).  Lastly, the different species of pegusai: Fire( they're immune to it, and they're flame-colored), Light( gold-colered, the undersides of their wings are so shiny they can reflect light into the eyes of their enemies), Stealth(very quiet, dark covered, pretty agile), Wind(super fast, can hover like hummingbirds, misty gray colored).

And that's it!

Here the spots available:

Ambassador(one per kingdom) (They do all the negotiating)

*Messenger(one per kingdom) (They carry important messages between the kingdoms  for the ambassadors and other stuff)

Riders(3-4 per kingdom)

All right, here's the Charrie sheet

Ahh... Right. Sorry. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it so that all of the characters somehow get together to go on the journey.

It's fine.  What if Aleia,because she's not really known to the Ravenwing Riders yet, snuck back into the city to get some help from a couple other people who are friends of theirs, but meets the others too and they all end up coming.  Or do you have any other ideas?

That sounds perfect. It's definitely better than what I was thinking!

~Elanora

I'm lost.

Completely lost.

Drifting through the streets.

I actually have a chance to walk away, I realise. Mistress couldn't find me in the crowd. I can do whatever I want. I can live in this marketplace.

My heart soars. I can do it! I can! Freedom!

I hear Mistress' voice, cutting through the crowd. "WHERE IS SHE!? WHERE IS MY SLAV--FRIEND!? Elanora?!"

I duck into a stall. This stall must sell trinkets, or something. The owner is still here, standing in front of the counter. I slink on my belly, hoping he doesn't see me, and open a cupboard. Wow.

It's filled with gems, gem affixing tools, and--what's this?

A pendant, with a flat golden disc on the end. A few small red jewels are affixed into it (Not a Kingdom's amulet, but maybe someone could get confused and think it is?). My fingers reach out towards it and stealthily snatch it, as I slink out of the booth. I string it around my neck, smiling. A free girl's pendant.

And now, I know who I am. I am no longer Elanora the slave.

I am Elanora, the thief.

~~~
I quietly find an old shed. It hasn't been used in some time, and I asked the owner if I could use it. He agreed, and said that I could keep it forever for all he cared. I said fine, I was keeping it forever. He laughed and walked away, saying he would never bug me again, and that he'd never come see his shed again.
I've stolen a few things since you last read of me.
First, I stole a few soft gloves, to help myself steal. I wear them now, in their place of honor. They're special gloves, too--a gem is affixed to them at the bottom of the wrist. Next, I stole a bit of food--loaves of bread and such. This place is used as a Marketplace when not used for festivals, so I should be fine living in this shed.
Next, I stole a pale, porclain-white (think Phantom of the Opera) mask, used for parties (it only covers parts of my nose and face). Then, a change of clothes.
I am no longer in a yellow, loose, fluttering dress that appears as candlelight.
I am in a thieve's uniform.
My brown gloves. A black shirt with long sleeves that can be comfortably laced. A belt, with a small dagger (also stolen) tucked into it. Long black pants. Then, I decide to put the mask on. Perfect. I look perfect--a real thief. And these merchants are foolish--they leave things all over, just for you to steal.
But for now, I think I'll rest in my shed, and eat this loaf of bread. It's no palace, but it'll do....
~~~

Okay, so I have an idea. What if she steals from one of the riders, and they nearly catch her but she escapes, and then the riders team up to catch her and hear her story, so she goes along with them?

So, guys, I'm writing a book with this plot too, and I was.wondering if I could use some of your characters in it and some of the other ideas that you guys have used, like the Ravenwing Riders and the Corrupteds.  What do you think?  If you guys don't want me to, that's fine.

I'm fine with it as well. You are welcome to use Keen.

Keen~

The end of Fermata's story is met with silence. Aleia Rose looks expactantly at Fermata, who looks just as expactantly at me. She looks at me. It feels strange somehow, so I look away. Tiny red birds frolick and soar above the cave's entrance. Annoyed, Callus swats at them when the come near.

"So," says Aleia Rose, finally breaking the silence, "where do we start?"

"With a book, of course! I have it in my satchel," she adds, beckoning to Cresendo, who glides with grace to her rider's side. Removing a book from the bag strapped to Cresendo's back, she begins to flip through the pages. I look over her shoulder as she mutters to herself, thinking.

"Um, hate to be a pessimist, but this looks kind of...impossible?" I notice, reading the information on these strange animals.

"We can do it, but...we might need some help," Fermata admits. Ryn's face as he calms the fighting animals during the fair swims across my mind. My smile reasserts itself.

" 'Kay then, I know EXACTLY the help we need."

Aleia~
"Okay, we'll get Ryn's help, is there anybody else?". I ask.   " Well, there was this girl at the festival, her dragon was in the fight, maybe she could help?  Clateea, I think, her name was.  She had a Rammer.". Keen said, " And there was the Dragon Ambassador too.".
"The Dragon Ambassador!  Do you really think she would help?".  I exclaimed.  " Well, I don't know about the ambassador, but I think we should bring a Dragon Rider along as a representative of the Dragon Kingdom.". Fermata said.  "Now how do we get word to them?".
There was a silence, then, " I'll go!" I said, "They'll be looking for you, but not me.".   " Thanks, Aleia,". Fermata sighed in relief.
~~~~
It was settled.  I would hunt up Ryn, Clateea, and Renee, and see what help they could give us.  I got ready to leave.  I mounted Breeze, and she leapt into the air.  "I'll be back tomorrow."
"Good luck.".  Then, I turned and headed into the sky.
Keen isn't very emotional. I'm sure he's thankful in his heart for Fermata saving his life and all, but he's just...Keen. So sorry about his manners.
Keen~
As soon as Aleia leaves, I set about cooking the rabbits.
"Callus, go get me two forked sticks and a long sharp one please. C'mon..." I groan as he looks at me lazily. Slowly, he gets up and begins methodically searching the surrounding underbrush. Fermata looks at me quizzically.
"Hey, I know what I'm doing!" I exclaim.
"I don't doubt that..." she answers with a dry smile. Within minutes, Callus returns from nosing the underbrush, rolling two sticks in front of him and clutching a third in his mouth. With a languid "Hmph," he settles in the ground beside me. Carefully, trying to move my injured shoulder as little as possible, I remove my pocket knife and begin filing the long stick to a sharp point at the end. Every rythemic stroke I make with the knife, even with my good arm, makes me wince in pain. Several time I have to rest and lean up against the scrubby tree behind me.
"Just let me do it!" Fermata finally bursts out protectively. I raise an eyebrow.
"Do you even know how to build a spit? And should I trust you with my pocket knife?" I add in a teasing tone. She laughs, flipping her blonde hair out of her face.
"I think I'd surprise you," she answers engicmatically. Nevertheless, she lets me whittle the end of the stick into a point.
"All right, I see how you do it, let me take it from here," she says as soon as I am finished, gesturing to the other two sticks.
"How 'bout you spear the rabbits with this while I whittle the other two?" I ask, not realizing that I am smirking until Fermata laughs. She puts down the book she had been flipping through and starts to walk over, but stops when she sees the open book at her feet.
"What is it?" I question, seeing her face go white.
"Another challenge," she answers, her voice soft.
~~~~~

So this is the book/map I mentioned earlier b/c I thought we might need a guide and it would make sense for Fermata to have the book. I'm not sure what she finds, I just wanted I cliffhanger :P
