The Three Kingdoms

The Three Kingdoms RP

Hi everyone!

This is my first RP I've made, so tell me if I do something wrong.

So anyways,

There are three kingdoms; the Dragon Kingdom, the Pegasus kingdom, and the Griffin Kingdom. (If anyone has any better ideas for names for the kingdoms, please let me know.).   Each kingdom has its own specially trained force of Riders.  The Dragon Riders, the Pegasus Riders, and the Griffin Riders.  These Riders are taken at the age of eight, bonded to their creature, and trained for 8-10 years.

There is a city in the center of the three kingdoms, in which negotiations and feasts and such are held between the kingdoms.  In this city, each year, the eignt year olds are brought from all three kingdoms on a certain day and set a number of hard tests to see if they're capable of becoming Riders.  Those chosen go back to their kingdoms, and are brought to the Hatcheries to see if they can bond to a (griffin, pegasus, or dragon.).  If they do, then they are trained as Riders.

Twice a year on the summer solstice and the winter solstice, Riders and people from all the kingdoms meet for three days of feasting and fun.  The three kingdoms have always been friendly, but now a special treasure is stolen from the Griffin King's treasury,  there are raids on the Dragon Kingdom's border near the Griffin Kingdoms border, and the Pegasus Kingdom's Messenger* turns up dead in the Dragon Kingdom.  Suspicions are growing and it won't long before the three kingdoms are at war with each other.

Okay, I hope the plot was understandable.  You can be a Rider in one of the kingdoms.  There are four species of dragons: Ice, Fire, Speed, and Rammers. (Rammers are very strong and can knock huge things over). There are also four species of griffins: Water(they have webbed feet and can stay underwater for a long time), Mountain (they are grey and rough looking, can almost blend in with the rocks, they're strong and can carry big boulders to drop on their enemies), Fire(part phoenix, can set their wings on fire), and Poison(their claws are covered in poison and they're quiet and fast).  Lastly, the different species of pegusai: Fire( they're immune to it, and they're flame-colored), Light( gold-colered, the undersides of their wings are so shiny they can reflect light into the eyes of their enemies), Stealth(very quiet, dark covered, pretty agile), Wind(super fast, can hover like hummingbirds, misty gray colored).

And that's it!

Here the spots available:

Ambassador(one per kingdom) (They do all the negotiating)

*Messenger(one per kingdom) (They carry important messages between the kingdoms  for the ambassadors and other stuff)

Riders(3-4 per kingdom)

All right, here's the Charrie sheet

Fermata~

After a brief interaction with the Forest Nymph, and a promise to return and speak with it again, I bound back to the cave.

"Keen, I have news," I say attempting to supress my excitement.

"Wait, what are you doing out of bed?" annoyance replaces it in an instant.

"A moth... Healed it. Sort of. It's a long and confusing story. We can talk later," replies Keen awkwardly. Suddenly, I notice a new boy standing a little ways away.

"This is Ryn! And he's agreed to join our team, too," Keen explains, apparently noticing my sudden guarded expression. I begin building up walls around myself immediately.

"Yes, I see. Hello Ryn, and welcome," I say, my tone distant and formal.

"Now, for my news. I've found the forest nymph," my happiness returning a little bit. Ryn looks confused. I inwardly groan, realizing that I would have to tell my story all over again.

Turning to him, I say, "I... will explain everything as soon as everyone arrives."

"Sure thing," he says. With a nod, I stride back out of the cave, wanting to talk to Aleia. She apparently has already departed, presumably to go get everyone else. I sigh, deciding to go for a fly.

Crescendo is restless and ready to take me, and we are in the air in seconds. My mind drifts as I soar and dive and twist through the air.

I know that I need to open up and trust people more. Ryn seemed to notice my distance, and he looked a little bit offended. I didn't mean it like that. It's just the way I am. Keen seems happy to have a guy with him. That's good. I like seeing him smile. Thinking of that makes me smile myself. Then my train of thought shifts.

What if we fail? What happens if we don't get the talismans before the Dachimi (it's what I've decided to call the 'bad guys') and they manage to join them and release the ancient monster, Baikal? These worries haunt me as I hit the ground. The sun has set, and someone started a fire as I enter the cave, face drawn.

"Hey guys," I say hesitantly. They seem to have had a row. Already. Typical boys.

One is sitting at the fire, while the other is taking care of his griffin.

I flop down in my little dip in the cave floor and promptly fall asleep, after recieving no answer and both of them looking away, almost appearing embarassed.

In my dream, I find myself running through the forest. Screaming someone's name, over and over. I seem to be looking for something, but am unable to find it. It is night time, and the moon is full and extremely large, giving me plenty of light to see by. Suddenly, I emerge in a large, open expanse of grass. I am facing an army of Dachimi, alone. Arrows come flying at me from all directions. Arrows tipped in darkness, blacker than the abyss. I draw a breath, preparing to die. Instead, fire bursts out around me. I seem to be controlling it. I form a wall of it between me and the army. Above me, a group of people appear. My allies. Keen is _______(pick a power). Ryn is ___________. And at least twenty others are performing their own acts of magic as well. We are an army of our own. And we are fighting to protect everything we love.

So my thoughts were that the keeper of each talisman recieves some kind of power, so when the big final battle comes, our side has those powers. Anyone in the RP can decide which talisman they want, what the power that comes with it is, and which creature they get it from. We can then proceed to write that into the RP when the time comes. Any houghts on this idea? If you don't like it, just disregard the dream and let me know. :)

Keen~

It's fun to goof around with Ryn and set Fermata on edge. I can't help being a little distant though, my mind replaying my encounter with that moth-thing.

"Will you help me?" I asked it. A warm rush of thoughts suddenly pushed into my head.

"Yes." It wasn't exactly a word; more of a thought, or feeling.

"Whoa. Your in my head! You have GOT to teach me that trick!" I exclaimed out loud. Then I tried to project my thoughts like the moth had. Focusing hard, I push my mind out to its.

"I need something...what was it that Fermata said? We're trying to defeat the Ravenwing Riders," I explainded. Then the moth-like thing flitted away.

~

I'll have to post the argument later. Gotta go watch the Dancing w/ the Stars finals!

This was extremely fun and I really enjoyed it, but I think the storyline is dying. I won't forget our adventures though!
