The Zoo (RP!)

Chatterbox: Inkwell

The Zoo (RP!)

The Zoo (RP!)

Alright, so it's been awhile since I joined an RP and I sorta need a little boost in creativity, so here a new RP! You're an animal in a zoo. But there's a twist.

You've been trapped in this zoo for as long as you can remember. Hidden from the people, the only ones allowed to see you are the great powers that rule the world. You don't know who exactly they are, you take no notice of human nonsense, but you can sense the authority around their voices, their poster, the way they look at you as if you were nothing. Only they, with guns and large, deadly objects, walk up to your small cage. Sometimes they knock you unconscious, and when you wake, you notice scars and cuts that weren't there before. So many of The Zoo has been knocked and taken away, never to be heard of again, that it has become normal to wake up one day to another lonely cage. But you want to do something about this. You want to change this. You want to live in the world, you want to be free.

But it's nearly impossible, the humans would never allow you to be seen.

Why?

Because you don't exist.

And as far as they're concerned, you never will.

~

Dun dun dun!!!!!

Rules~

1. You may choose or create a mythical creature for The Zoo. Please no mary sues, I will not accept dragons, griffins, unicorns, or Pegasus without unique characteristics. Also, try to be unique. I would rather not have a million flying dragons and magical unicorns.

2. You may have as many characters as you like. Password is crow. These creatures don't tend to have parents, because after they are bred their parents are usually 'knocked'. You may have siblings.

3. No OP magical characters. Actually, no magic at all. You're a mythical creature, you can have gills, wings, cool-looking claws, and fangs, but no magic.

4.  None of your characters remember their past lives if they were caught from the wild and not bred in captivity.

5. The global powers can be really anyone, from Russia's military force to Japan's military force, though I do prefer if the 'global powers' were top generals. The password is actually raven. This can develop as the plot moves forward.

6. The plot can move anywhere, though the main idea is that the creatures escape, and find a way to overthrow the humans or try to anyway.

7. I'd rather not have any human-based mythical creatures, but if it's relevant to the plot, maybe I'll accept one or two. The password is both of the ones listed before.

Alrighty, here's the charrie sheet! Sorry if I was a little bland and all over the place, just ask if you're confused with my randomness ideas.

Name (If you have one):

Age (about):

Gender (they don't have to have one):

Mythical creature name/assumption by humans (what you most look like):

Appearance (detailed plz!):

Personality (it will advance during the plot):

Hopes and dreams (what they hope to accomplish by escaping):

Fears and weaknesses (self-explanatory):

Strengths (they don't have to know them):

Any known living family members:

Password (ya go look for it):

Other/ships and stuff:

My charrie sheet!!!!!

Name (If you have one): Some call her 'Tigress' others call her 'Amaranth' she goes by either

Age (about): Fairly young, but not too young. About late teenage years.

Gender (they don't have to have one): Female

Mythical creature name/assumption by humans (what you most look like): Suea Peek

Appearance (detailed plz!): A giant tiger towers over the humans. The size of one and a half full grown men. She is the color of ivory, with a golden hinge around the oddly patterned black tiger stripes. One of her eyes is a piercing red, the color of Amaranth, while the other is a sparkling teal-blue. She has large fangs for her size, much like a saber-toothed cat. From her back springs bat-like wings, the bones feathered with iridescent colors not much different then a peacock's. The skin inbetween is a midnight blue, and down her spine the feathers came together to form a long feathered tail. Her claws are also very large, the same midnight blue as her wings. Her roar can kill a man, so her mouth is often bound.

Personality (it will advance during the plot): Timid, kind, has been abused too many times. She can't pay attention, she's very bad at it. Paces a lot. Restless. Have always wanted to fly. She's a fighter. Is the 'stronge personality' type. Makes dumb desitions in the heat of a moment. Lonley. Depressed. Fights her own battles, you could say. Has seen too many 'knocked'.

Hopes and dreams (what they hope to accomplish by escaping): She's always wanted to fly. She also wants everyone else to be safe, even at the cost of her own life. She wants her desendents to walk on the grass, and to fly in the sky. She wants everyone to be free.

Fears and weaknesses (self-explanatory): Afraid she'll be knocked, and can't fight back. Afraid she'll hurt someone, by accident. Afraid of the world, doesn't know if it's cruler than The Zoo. Afraid she'll fail everyone, and the humans will kill them all. Afraid of fear. Afraid of the demonds in her head.

Strengths (they don't have to know them):  She can fly, her roaring is so loud it can kill a human at close range, her teeth and claws are deadly of course.

Any known living family members: If anyone wants to make a brother I'm down!

Password (ya go look for it): Ya you thought I'd write it here. *snorts* Go find it yourself.

Other/ships and stuff: Open to shipping, no preferance, though love isn't the main thing on her mind. Oh, and there's a scar in the shape of a heart on her shoulder that she swore she was born with. Also, she's kept in an enclosure with chains around her paws, tightly dissabling the release of her claws, and a band around her snout. It unlocks at a certain hour every day so she can eat.

Welp that's it! Have fun with this y'all!

~Tigress

It was feeding time. The wrangler walked by each cage, rattling the bars with the metal prodding stick he used to give them the slabs of meat. He was old and covered in burn marks, fang, and claw scars. Rumor has it he's been around since The Zoo was ever created. Rumor has it he's also the one who 'knockes' them.

Tigress snarled as the food was dropped. The wrangler snarled right back at her, his strangly pattered teeth sticking out weirdly as he did. She dropped her head and flattened her ears in fear as the metal stick with the sharp pointy edge came close to her muzzle. "Thats what I thought, 89." He snarled through his damaged jawline.

Soon the door to the cage shut. Five seconds later the muzzles around most creature open slightly with an echoing clicking sound. Just slightly, but enough so they could rip up their meet. And just enough so they could talk to one another.

Mama bear didnt have any jaw restrictions. It was probably because they had her teeth filed and her jaw was weak. All she ate was berries and fish, so she didnt really need strong jaws. "Mama Bear?" Tigerss asked, not giving a second glance to the deer carcass in front of her.

She took a few steps in her direction. Most of the other creatures were sleeping, and '99' hadnt come back yet. If he ever would.

Tigress shook her head to loosen her jaw, fealing the little yellow tag fastened to her ear shake around. She was pretty sure it had her number on it, like all the others, though she wasnt so sure. She had never looked at it before. "Yes dearie?" The bear asked, her face smothered in half-ripe berries.

"Have you-" Tigress started, knowing she was about to bring up a restricted subject. They didnt know what was beyond these walls, but it must be better then this....right? "Do you think- Has anyone...."

"Spit it out now." Mama grummbled, turning her glowing head to look Tigress in the eyes.

She sighed, and then she blurted, "what happens if we try to escape?"

The animals who were awake stopped eating all at once. And it was only a few, including Mama and a strange looking herbivore. "Escuse me?"

"I mean...." Tigress continued, confidence building in her veins. "Do you think the grass is greener on the other side? Has anyone ever tried escaping before?"

"Sweety." Mama said, rolling back on her behind, scratching her side with a back leg. "Theres no use in talking about it."

Trigress took two steps to the side, before feeling the chains stop her. "But has anyone ever tried?" She exclaimed, her eyes wild. "Mama bear, you dont have chains on your muzzle. You could....I dont know. We could do something. We CAN do something. I know it."

"Honey!" She exclaimed so suddenly Tigress jumped from her fantasy world. "There is a story, long ago, of one who tried to escape." Her voice lowered so only Tigress could hear if the others didnt strain their ears. "He was called Jakel, number 25, younge and spirited. He was cocky. He ripped through his cage and tried to free the others, but to no use. They caught him, and shot him dead right then and there. There is no way." She shook her head sadley.

"But Mama-" all at once the muzzles clicked back together. Tigress bit down on her lip as her jaws were painfully cramped together.

She tried opening her mouth, but to no avail. "Im sorry, sweety." Mama bear gave her the Mama look, and if the chains hadent clamped her mouth already, she would have given way to her stern mother-like glare.

But if there was a way, Tigress would risk her life.

No matter what Mama said.

Just then, the doors opened and with a lot of grunting, a reptilian creature was dragged into the room. Tigress perked her ears as the now cleaned cage opened loudly. 99 was cramed into the space, and the doors shut just has water begain filling in. His eyes were open, but hasy, like he was half awake or unable to move yet.

Tigress looked away from him. She was now aware of the warm blood trialing from her bleeding lip.

Just as the humans were about to leave, one pointed her out. "Looks like that one didnt touch her food."

"She's bleeding."

"Might be time to take her in."

"We'll do it tomorrow."

Tigress felt sour as the four guards left the room. Take her in? Was this the end for her?

With a frightened look in her eyes, she looked towards Mama Bear.

She looked as scared as Tigress felt.

Abraco~

This is just an insult. WHY!?!?! I save three ENTIRE cities from LITERALLY sinking into a sink hole and this is the "thanks" that I get? I get stuffed into wire mesh bag, tossed about in the back of a car, and then THROWN into a giant metal cage!

First off, love your drawings, thats adorible XD (I feel like that would be me and my friends if we ever had to save the world XD)

Second off, your creature must be mythical. And no magic. So telekinesis, shape shifting (eventhough Ive come up with some logic as to how it can happen without magic), and the other thing you mentioned that slipped my mind, are all magic. Also choose a mythical creature. And go back and read the rules before RPing. Thanks! (and if that was The Raven referance I totally got but its not the password so read the rules)

Two things.

1.) Artist Misfit drew Hopeless: The Dark Cave. I know that moblie game from anywhere. Though I wonder why the monster has legs.

2.) So... Could Eagna mutate Bacterial DNA to help and harm? I'll agree for the harm part (Morbusocius) to be weak, but I want him to be able to produce the help part (Morbusproditor). In case you are wondering what am I talking about, check page 3.

Please?

Abraco~

Great. Just great. The floor of my cage is covered in metal spoons. Marvelous. Now all I can do is read minds. If you were able to read minds, you would very quickly find out that it's not awesome. I am able to read the minds of anybody within a hundred meters of myself in any direction. And it can't be shut off. I wonder how Winzig is doing. For all I know he got captured too. Meh, he can fend for himself. I don't call him polar for nothing. Hmm. Where am I anyway? Some kind of laboratory? Hmm. Oh my goodness graitious! That is just absolute torture! How could these humans get away with this? Oh. Thats how. Government sanctioned research on mythical and mysterious creatures. Time to dig a hole and shove all the spoons into it!

~~~~~~~~~~~SOME TIME LATER ~~~~~~~~~~~
That was close! Almost got caught! But I did it! I leave out one spoon, to regulate my telekinesis and shape shifting. Too many spoons and I become useless. No spoons, my body essentially becomes the core of a mini planet thing. Which is cool, but it hurts. A lot. But one or two, my powers stabilize and I'm happy. Hmm. Now how should I escape my cage? I could use my telekinesis to bend the bars, or I could shape shift into a smaller creature? I would like to use my telekinesis, but that would attract too much attention, so I shape shift into a gecko. My escape was going smoothly until I saw the other creatures. A glowing bear and a tiger with bat wings, their  bodies and minds stricken with the fear of what will happen to them. I could go to them and try to cheer them up, or I could continue my escape. I would like to say that I decide to continue escaping, but no. "A friend in need is a friend indeed" I go t'wards them and almost decide to go back, but the way to escape has been blocked by 5 guards. Fiddle sticks. I have to go with them.~
Lotus~
Lotus stared at Tigress. Take her in? Tommorow? She had no idea what that meant. Could it mean... getting knocked? No, that couldn't be. Or could it? She didn't want to lose another friend. She glanced around at the other creatures. Only when she saw her face in the reflection of a glass window (on the side of her cage) did she realize her expression was terrified. Not wanting to scare the others, she tried her best to morph her expression into a tired, stern one. "I"m sure it will be fine, sweetheart. They probably meant to bring you in for a check-up or something." She shifted to scratch her ear, where her tag with the number 58 was. "You try and get some sleep, okay?" Lotus murmured, staring at Tigress.
 The tiger nodded nervously, and curled up where she was, shivering a bit. Lotus didn't know if it was from the cold wind constantly blowing through the zoo, or just the fear of tommorow. Lotus hersef was a llittle nervous. More than a little. The iron collar around her neck was itching, badly. She tried to lift it so that she could scratch the fur underneath, but it was too heavy. The chains here were extra strong, made of something, but she didn't know what. They were tight too, and dragged on the floor. Life in the Zoo was terrible, from the tasteless food to the dirty, harsh cages
The bear slowly streched, as much as she could, and dragged herself over to the front of her enclosure. She stared up at the tiny cat, the quiet one, and one of the only creatures she hadn't been able to talk to. Yet. The cat, number 102, was asleep, in a crooked position. She was bleeding and bruised. Lotus noticed her cage swung slightly with the breeze. Must've been thrown around a lot, poor thing, she thought to herself. Most of the other creatures were falling asleep. Lotus decided, maybe she should try and get rest too.
There wasn't much to do in their tiny enclosures, so the creatures were restricted to pacing, talking as much as they could, when they can, and eating. And drinking from the tiny buckets of filthy water they got each day. Lotus took a gulp of hers, although it tasted disgusting. She wondered if water was like this in the real world...
The fire-bear was left with nothing to do but sleep. So she flopped over in the corner of her cage, on the tiny, ripped quilt they had given her for some kind of bed, and closed her eyes. Sleep did not come immediately, rather images in her mind about the dozens of creatures she'd seen knocked. She didn't want that to happen to Tigress. She didn't want that to happen to anyone! Eventually, her mind was lured into a dull slumber, overflowing with dreams and distant memories.
~Razorclaw
I quickly gobbled up the meat I had as soon as the mask's zipper opened to allow me to eat. everyone exploded into conversation while eating. Most of us knew we couldn't risk not finishing the meal. I finnished the small deer quickly and looked around for Pax.
"Hey Pax!" I said, licking the blood off my sharp teeth. Pax turned around from the cage right next to the Tapir. She was a female wolf-like being, but has super senses.
"What?" she asked.
"Do you know what the humans plan to do with us? We can't just be here for no reason."
"Good point, though we might find out later. The workers were chattering about something very excitedly beyond the door. The sounds were too muffled for me to tell exactly, but it seems to be a new person."
"Why would they get so excited over a new person?"
"Who knows?"
Tigress's said a bit loudly, "What happens when we try to escape?" We were all quiet except for the occasional snores of some of the sleepy animals. Mama bear explained, and soon enough, our masks shut, closing us off from whatever food we were given. Some workers pointed at Tigeress, who bit her lip upon the sudden closer of the masks. They said something about taking Tigress away before the arrival. I was thankful mine just went around my jaw.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Most of the animals were up now except for a sloth who softly snored while hanging on one of the bars. There were louder sounds coming from the door beyond, but I couldn't tell what they were. The door still made the conversation too muffled. Suddenly, the door opened, a man that was in an important looking suit, surrounded by four others that trailed behind him, watching him and the animals closely. This was the fourth visitor i'd met.

I'll probably post a drawing of Razorclaw sooner or later

Eagna~

I feel woozy. The world spins as I come to, not knowing where am I.

I feel like I'm gonna puke.

I look around. It's barren, The only thing I see is a metal door, a light, and faces in the walls singing.

Sing, bing, box, fox, fork.

Forks are nice and shiny, but pointy. Spoons are better.

I laugh, but I don't know why, and it worries me.

Suddenly the door opens and a man walks through. By the looks of it,he's been around for a long time. He had scars and bite marks and burns all over. He was putting on a mask with a filter on it.

But I can't stop laughing

heh heh, his shoes, heh heh

ARE SMILING. ONE EVEN WINKS AT ME.

I laugh harder. The clicking sound gets worse and worse.

SNAP

The old man cracks his ship to get my attention.

"Here, now!" He comman commands.

I try to but the wall moved. I call down.

He curses under his breath. "They overdosed this stupid lizard."

Lizard. Blizzard, Blue, Hue, Horn.

I giggle more.

The man then gives me a nice ribbon for my beak and wings. I think I look pret-

Urk!

"These stupid scientists!" He unloosens the ribbon on my beak as I vomit. I feel a little better.

He picks me up. I don't care. His trip tight at first. Then loosens.

He takes me to this holding area where there are a lot of creatures. Surrounded by green beans

"Flying Kitty!" I yell, looking at the big kitty with bat like wings. They look back in confusion.

The man pays me no attention, most likely because he can't understand me. Understandable, cause to him it must have sounded like clicks and hisses.

He puts me in a group of green beans between a glowy  scalely bear and the big kitty.

The bear speaks first.

"Are you alright little one?"

" I wanna hug the teddy bear!" I proceed but the green bean moved and hit me in the face.

Darkness comes.

Ow. I wake up in a cage, unsure where I am. My beak and wings are hundred by some kind of restraint. I can open both. But only partway. I turn to see the bear.

"He's awake."

" The hallucinogen dream was real!" I panic. Where am I? Where Am I? WHERE AM I?

"Easy little one, don't forget to breathe."

Maybe this is just a nightmare. Soon I shall wake up on my horde of shiny thing like spoons and coins, along with some books and CDs and every thing will be ok.

I reach down to my tail, well what's left of it. And peck the tender part

Not a dream- OW! Not a dream- OW!

"What is this place?"

" no one really knows," she replies "those that were captured don't remember much of their lives before they got here, and none of us have been outside."

"That is ridiculous! I remember everything! I live-"

.......

"Oh god....."

The tigress looks at me with worry. The bear does the same.

" What's your name? Most remember that at least." The bear asks me.

I smile with confidence, at least that is not gone.

Sorry I diddn't post earlier I was busy but I'm here now and IM SO SORRY FOR NOT READING THE RULES I was too excited about the rp.

~~~
This is a very confusing place with humans who take us away then take us back, animals who dissapear, and cold cages. Then something tickles my nose and I sneeze loudly which make sthe small cat with wings jump. "I'm so s-s-sorry I diddn't meant to startle you up I'm so sorry!" I stammer as everyone looks at me. I don't like the attention so I hide my face with my 9 tails, then the bear who I call Momma says.
"It's alright child, you don't have to appologise. It happens and is nothing to be nervous about." She looks at me kindly before a human walks up to my cage.
I shy away from the human and cower in the corner as it says "Stupid animals, they should all be killed like the beasts they are." I am startled by this and as a result I don't think when he puts his gloved hands near my face. There is the sound of something tearing and I taste blood. Then I realize what I've done, I bit a human. I'm dead. I'm so, so, dead The man is cradling his hand and I have apparently torn through the gloves and punctured his skin. The man then kicks me and sends me flying into the bars of my cage. I can hear them groan from the impact as black spots dance in my vision. Then Momma growls fiercely, warning him to back off and he does with a smirk. "You'll all get what's coming to you sooner or later." he states as he walks away.
"Are you alright child?" Momma asks and I non even though the movement sends sparks across my vision.
"I t-think so." I say quietly.
Then the 3 eyed fox says "Why did you bite him, that was a stupid move."
So I quietly respond with "I was scared and he threatened me so on instinct I bit him. I diddn't mean to." as I curl up in a ball and fall into a light slumber.
I love this rp so much.
