The Zoo (RP!)

Chatterbox: Inkwell

The Zoo (RP!)

The Zoo (RP!)

Alright, so it's been awhile since I joined an RP and I sorta need a little boost in creativity, so here a new RP! You're an animal in a zoo. But there's a twist.

You've been trapped in this zoo for as long as you can remember. Hidden from the people, the only ones allowed to see you are the great powers that rule the world. You don't know who exactly they are, you take no notice of human nonsense, but you can sense the authority around their voices, their poster, the way they look at you as if you were nothing. Only they, with guns and large, deadly objects, walk up to your small cage. Sometimes they knock you unconscious, and when you wake, you notice scars and cuts that weren't there before. So many of The Zoo has been knocked and taken away, never to be heard of again, that it has become normal to wake up one day to another lonely cage. But you want to do something about this. You want to change this. You want to live in the world, you want to be free.

But it's nearly impossible, the humans would never allow you to be seen.

Why?

Because you don't exist.

And as far as they're concerned, you never will.

~

Dun dun dun!!!!!

Rules~

1. You may choose or create a mythical creature for The Zoo. Please no mary sues, I will not accept dragons, griffins, unicorns, or Pegasus without unique characteristics. Also, try to be unique. I would rather not have a million flying dragons and magical unicorns.

2. You may have as many characters as you like. Password is crow. These creatures don't tend to have parents, because after they are bred their parents are usually 'knocked'. You may have siblings.

3. No OP magical characters. Actually, no magic at all. You're a mythical creature, you can have gills, wings, cool-looking claws, and fangs, but no magic.

4.  None of your characters remember their past lives if they were caught from the wild and not bred in captivity.

5. The global powers can be really anyone, from Russia's military force to Japan's military force, though I do prefer if the 'global powers' were top generals. The password is actually raven. This can develop as the plot moves forward.

6. The plot can move anywhere, though the main idea is that the creatures escape, and find a way to overthrow the humans or try to anyway.

7. I'd rather not have any human-based mythical creatures, but if it's relevant to the plot, maybe I'll accept one or two. The password is both of the ones listed before.

Alrighty, here's the charrie sheet! Sorry if I was a little bland and all over the place, just ask if you're confused with my randomness ideas.

Name (If you have one):

Age (about):

Gender (they don't have to have one):

Mythical creature name/assumption by humans (what you most look like):

Appearance (detailed plz!):

Personality (it will advance during the plot):

Hopes and dreams (what they hope to accomplish by escaping):

Fears and weaknesses (self-explanatory):

Strengths (they don't have to know them):

Any known living family members:

Password (ya go look for it):

Other/ships and stuff:

My charrie sheet!!!!!

Name (If you have one): Some call her 'Tigress' others call her 'Amaranth' she goes by either

Age (about): Fairly young, but not too young. About late teenage years.

Gender (they don't have to have one): Female

Mythical creature name/assumption by humans (what you most look like): Suea Peek

Appearance (detailed plz!): A giant tiger towers over the humans. The size of one and a half full grown men. She is the color of ivory, with a golden hinge around the oddly patterned black tiger stripes. One of her eyes is a piercing red, the color of Amaranth, while the other is a sparkling teal-blue. She has large fangs for her size, much like a saber-toothed cat. From her back springs bat-like wings, the bones feathered with iridescent colors not much different then a peacock's. The skin inbetween is a midnight blue, and down her spine the feathers came together to form a long feathered tail. Her claws are also very large, the same midnight blue as her wings. Her roar can kill a man, so her mouth is often bound.

Personality (it will advance during the plot): Timid, kind, has been abused too many times. She can't pay attention, she's very bad at it. Paces a lot. Restless. Have always wanted to fly. She's a fighter. Is the 'stronge personality' type. Makes dumb desitions in the heat of a moment. Lonley. Depressed. Fights her own battles, you could say. Has seen too many 'knocked'.

Hopes and dreams (what they hope to accomplish by escaping): She's always wanted to fly. She also wants everyone else to be safe, even at the cost of her own life. She wants her desendents to walk on the grass, and to fly in the sky. She wants everyone to be free.

Fears and weaknesses (self-explanatory): Afraid she'll be knocked, and can't fight back. Afraid she'll hurt someone, by accident. Afraid of the world, doesn't know if it's cruler than The Zoo. Afraid she'll fail everyone, and the humans will kill them all. Afraid of fear. Afraid of the demonds in her head.

Strengths (they don't have to know them):  She can fly, her roaring is so loud it can kill a human at close range, her teeth and claws are deadly of course.

Any known living family members: If anyone wants to make a brother I'm down!

Password (ya go look for it): Ya you thought I'd write it here. *snorts* Go find it yourself.

Other/ships and stuff: Open to shipping, no preferance, though love isn't the main thing on her mind. Oh, and there's a scar in the shape of a heart on her shoulder that she swore she was born with. Also, she's kept in an enclosure with chains around her paws, tightly dissabling the release of her claws, and a band around her snout. It unlocks at a certain hour every day so she can eat.

Welp that's it! Have fun with this y'all!

@The Writer I don’t think I’m gonna allow the healing component because it’s just too OP. Of course u can have an antidote to your poison and maybe possible other potions if it’s mixed with curtain things. Is that ok with you?

@MoonFrost GMO means Genetically Modified Organisum. So like, the scientists genetically bred your creature’s traits or combined curtain DNA to make them. Tigress is one.

@MoonLight alright that’s fine, maybe your species is just similar to my species, or maybe both of Tigress’ parents were the same mythical creature and they just bread them because they needed to have their DNA or something but still needed a live specimen for some reason. They’re could be the same mythical creature classification or something. Also, did you read the rules? Please do. The creatures cannot remember their life outside of the zoo. And maybe a few more restraints? Like a fragil chain around their about that doesn’t really do anything, but it’s there?

@everyone SOME REMINDERS

-YOU DONT REMEMBER YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE ZOO

-EVERYONE HAS SOME SORT OF RESTRAINT THE LOCKS CANNOT BE PICKED

-PLEASE ADD ON TO THE PLOT WE HAVE GOING INSTEAD OF MAKING YOUR OWN

-BE COOPERATIVE PLEASE!

-AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, HAVE FUN!

Sorry guys but some simple reminders I think some people forgot. Thanks!

If that's all you'll allow, I'll accept, but Eagna must have known what plus Morbusocius equals Morbusproditor before he was captured or else his capture won't make any sense, he forgets that after he was drugged (heavily too). Also, he was picking the cage door lock, hoping the Morbusocius would mutate the bacteria in his favor (he has no control over this) but I guess you meant that too. His restraints are two belt like things, one on his beak, the other around the "arms" of his wings.

Alright then sorry for the misunderstanding! In that case she will have a chains around her legs preventing her from climbing. She doesn't know anything about her past life outside of the zoo then. She will be bred in the zoo if that is good I am fine with that or having her being wild but is it okay if she like feels wild even if she was bred in captivity? Thanks!!

~#83

I feel myself being carried somwhere. I try to attack but I can't move or see. The person carrying me sets me down and satarts talking.

"Welcome-" *clamp* "to-" *clamp* "Your new-" *clamp* "Home #83" They say and walk away.

I feel chains clamped on my legs and arms. I fell woozy then fall down.

I'm back from my

~Razorclaw

I couldn't believe my eyes as Tigress was taken away by the visitor. He was strange, and had a thick accent. It must've been the prickly chin. Tigress obediently followed all of his orders after taken out of the cage and some dart of sort taken out of her tail. He ordered her to spin, roll over, and sit. He hooked her up on a leash, and took her out the door.

Soon, Tigress was back, but the visitor didn't chain her up or anything. He just closed the door and left Tigress in the cage, still sleepy-looking. Tigress woke, everyone murmuring about what Tigress possibly would have seen. She roared with renewed energy and freedom, spreading her wings and preening feathers.

"What did you see?" someone asked.

"I didn't see anything. I don't remember anything either. What happened?"

There was muffled talking, because of all the chains and masks, we were only able to talk quietly with the person in the cells next to us without getting hushed by a worker. We were wondering what had happened, and if Tigress knew anything.

Suddenly, the metal door clanged open again. Tigress crouched near the hook where the chains connect to the wall, covering it up to prevent anyone seeing that she was free.

The visitor from before came back in, whispering quietly and pointing at a few of us. He said something a bit louder. "I want those, or copies of them for the army! They'll never suspect!"

The worker whispered back, "I'm sorry, but this place must remain secret. We cannot take a risk like that..." they continued to angrily whisper to each other, finally stomping off onto the other side of the metal door.

~~~~~~~~~
Will the man try to steal us? Or will he take over? What could this mean?
Ah sorry storm didn’t realize the rest of my post was deleted. It was probably me being spacious sorry sorry sorry! I meant for her roar to be like, the one that’s so loud it kills humans. Idk, thought it would be a plot starter.
99~
It was a roar to trump all others. It shook the cages, even broke one of the hanging ones. Good thing the smallest animal wasn’t inside, the shock could have killed her. Maybe she also needed a checkup from all her scrapes and bruises, and that’s why she wasn’t there.
It shook the water in 99’s tank. He didn’t dare move, instead surveying the scenery around him with his crocodile eyes. He saw the stag shake his....beautiful....antlers, long and strong even with all the horror they’re put through. He didn’t look shook from the roar. 99 admired that.
There was the large bear, with her strange glowing fur. She looked ruffled, and had been the first to demand to know what had happened beyond those doors. If 99 could read lips correctly. He could nearly hear through the thick walls of his cage. The small reptile between then looked ruffled too, like he wasn’t excepting the intensity of the roar.
The wolf was covering her ears, clearly in pain. 99 was pretty sure they had heightened her senses or something, the loud noise must be very painful. The weird four-legged bird had his usual calculating expression as the humans covered their ears, stunned (or maybe dead he couldn’t tell).
And then there was the moment after, where Tigress looked around, shocked as though she had no idea she could do that. 99 didn’t belame her. He himself didn’t even know what he was capable of. There was that moment of recovery, where a dark skinned human (ok so not dead) yelled something really really loud, that even 99 could hear through his cage.
“GUYS I THINK THE TIGER BIRD IS SNARTER THEN WE THOUGHT!”
“Who in all Africa decided to leave the tiger unchained!? THE DRUG IS GOING TO WARE OUT BEFORE THE NEXT CHECKUP!”
and then the Zoo erupted in chaos.
~
yep. So maybe her roar wasn’t loud enough to kill cause she didn’t know what she was doing...? Also idk what the chaos is. It just sounded right. Also Sorry Storm bout that...just thought that that would be a nice plot starter.
@Claaws I almost forgot! I don't know if I need to do this but can I use your idea for a real life story? Like written in real life?
@Everyone can I use your names in this RP for the story itself?
Like I said I don't know if I need to do this but I just want to make sure. Thanks!!
I think you do need to ask if you're taking someone’s idea/ already created characters. Just for future reference. And of course you can! I don’t mind at all. You don’t even have to reference me, I don’t mind. I don’t know about everyone else though...so make sure you have their ok before you use their charries!
Also! I'm so sorry I haven't been posting! I'm getting over a cold (Seriousy! Who gets a cold in spring?!?!). I'll try and do a real post tomorrow.
@Claaws I just noticed your post XD
~Razorclaw
The zoo was in chaos, workers were scrambling all over the place, Tigress rammed the cage door with renewed courage and without the weight and length of the chain. The door was easily rammed open, she let out a roar, other animals began shouting for Tigress's help or began ramming the doors themselves.
I looked around and tugged on the chains. Suddenly, the chains loosened and the mask opened up. Someone must've thought it was feeding time. The stronger creatures quickly ripped themselves out of their masks, including me. I opened my jaws and used my claws to grab the mask. The mask fell away below my feet, I clawed at the lock, and it was a simple locking machanism at further inspection. Swiping the lock open with my tail, and I was free. Most of us were out too, and others helped weaker creatures escape, we ran through that metal door on the end, workers screaming on the other side. I eyed the sign opposite of my cage first, and tore that mispelled sign into peices.
We were free.
Hey guys don't forget about this!
~99
The glass of my tank cracked a bit as Tigress roared. It shocked us, it shocked the humans. They were alive, unfortunately. But stunned. Giving us a chance...
And then the muzzles clicked open. It must be feeding time. Some clueless person...or smart animal...must have pushed the button or lever or something. And it gave the rest of the animals a chance to break free.
I snapped my chains effortlessly.
All around me creatures were snapping out of their cages. The stronger were helping the weaker, which I thought was cute. I rammed against my own cage, and the glass cracked a tad more, like a glistening spiderweb. Though underwater, in such a small cage, there wasn't enough momentum to break the glass. But I tried again none the less.
And then through the blurry glass, a shimmering shape appeared, with tall, strong antlers. I stared at him with my crocodile eyes for a second, staying perfectly still as I watched him tilt his head and ram his horns into the glass.
It shattered.
Water sprayed across the floor, and I surged out, grabbing onto the edge of the glass as the water surged out around me. My hooves hit the ground, my senses fully alert, for the first time in a long while. The glass cut my talons as the water left my scales. I slowly shifted my weight off of them and stepped onto the cool ground. The stag looked at me and I nodded my head to show my thanks. And then I started towards the only exit, following the others in a large wave, the stag galloping ahead at a much faster pace.
The animals of the Zoo were all free now.
But the fight was far from over. One human had gained his senses and had apparently called for help because the next thing I knew humans were rushing in the door wearing masks and heavy armorish things...and pokey sticks which could...would kill them if given the chance. But I wouldn't let that happen. The animals in the lead had reared up, clashing against the human's sticks. I saw a stripped tapiar clash down onto the ground, a stick jabbed through its skull, almost emidiatly. Some animals just weren't cut out for defense, no matter how much they wanted to be free.
But I was going to be free.
No matter what lay beyond those doors.
A battle cry echoed through the zoo.
I could taste freedom.
