(Shall we start?)

Trill sighed. She was standing near her bed in her dormitory room. She had three pictures of the Cypher wheel spread out in front of her. "Which one should I bring to the meeting place tonight?" she muttered. Shrugging, she picked them all up and tossed them into a bark and felt shoulder bag, along with some notes and papers. She was now ready for the night.

Trill sighed again and picked up a WWI codes book to wait until nightfall.

Ispotted the beavers crawling out of the woods behind Scarlet. Beavers were expert builders, so this is going great! I got one of the vines that the animals got, and I flew along the logs with mud in the cracks, and tied a knot. I heard Scarlet clucking. The Gryphon woke up. I flew into the hole of the barrier and sheathed my daggers and needles. I scraped the gryphon's skin. It immediately went back to sleep. I gathered some of the animals nearby. I handed them some sleep darts and told them to shoot the Gryphon when it tries to awaken. They nodded and continued to work on the cage. I hope this plan works.

Laria~

I tried really hard. I struggled as Bob and Gog dragged me back to the office, but I guess I'm too small. They had to lock me in the closet until they decided what to do with me.

"Smash her to bits!" snarled Bob, his teethe clenched. I stop slamming ymself againt the door for a second.

"You realize I can hear you!" I shout. Then they moved me to the room behind this one. As the lock the door a second time, I cast fervently about. My heart punds. No windows. No other doors. Not even a bloody skeleton key lying around. I sigh and slump against the wall. I'd heard Seth shouting at me while I was being dragged away, and I know there are other spies here. I guess at this point I can only hope that they saw mre in trouble. And that they'll help.

I lean againt the wall and stare at the ventilation grate on the ceiling, wishing I could do something clever with it. It's too small for me to crawl through, but if I were to jump, I would be able to pull it down. I squint at it, analyzing the strength of the metal and the possibilities... My heart leaps. I jump up and dash to the door. Yep. There's a lock. If I could make something small enough to pick the lock...

I manage to tug down the grate cover and start smashing it againt the stone wall, praying for it to splinter soon, reciting my favorite book from memory to keep me occupied. Suddnely, I hear Prof. Henshaw.

"What is that blasted girl doing in there? Gog, you go check on her." My lip trembles as I hear thick, clumsy hand working at the lock.

"Please hurry, Seth," I whimper.

Cyl~

I circle B.I.G. It's mostly demolished, with a gryphon sized hole in the wall. Soaring, I hurry back to the battle, only to find that the tide has changed, and the gryphon is lying on its side. It looks like Zephyra, and... are those...beavers? Are there as well. I land by Scarlet.

"Soooo, how can I help?"

The Gryphon's asleep again. Good. I think to myself. The Beavers get back to work. I get back to work. The cage is really taking shape now. The Beavers speed the job up substantially, and before I know it, it's finished. "How do we get the Gryphon in?" I ask no one in particular. Capense answers. "We bait it." "With what?" I ask. "You." "What?" I'm shocked. Capense wants to bait the gryphon using...me? "But! I don't want to be eaten alive!" "Scarlet," Capense says in a firm tone. I hang my head. "It's angry at you remember?" "Yes" "When the Gryphon is in the cage, you can slip through a hole. The bars are far enough apart for you." I nod, not knowing what else to do. I know I have to do it, even though the fear is pulsing through my veins. Storm, Cyl, Capri and Kasumi prod the Gryphon, trying to wake it. It roars with anger, then I fly over to it, it sees me. I drop to the ground, and run for the cage, it follows. I gets in the cage, I slip out. Tani and a few others shut the door and lock it. Now all we have to do is interrogate it.

Goodness! We posted at the exact same time! I'm glad Capense is in the story, but I am not planning to RP with him. It might seem unfair that I have three charries, but Capense really isn't a charrie, so, never fear. Cyl and Seth are my charries.

Seth~

Giniva tosses me her purse.

"Ummm..." I say digging through it. Suddenly, a few more bricks from the ceiling crumple down. One of them hits Giniva in the chest, and she backs away, surprised. Before she can react, a whole, large, section of the ceiling caves in as B.I.G. is pounded by forceful winds. It colapses into a pile between Giniva and I, pushing me up against the wall. I can hear screaming from outside the cramped, collapsing section of what once was B.I.G.

"Giniva?" I call out.

"Throw me a crowbar!" She yells. I reach into her purse and quickly find the crowbar, and heave it over the pile of rubbish.

"Ow! That hit my head, you doofus!" I sigh. She must be okay and unburied. A second later, she calls:

"Climb over! There's a hole in the wall. I see Tani... or is it Trill? On of the T girls, and oh...Freya. Let's go see what the commotion is about."

"Wait...I have to do something," I murmer.  Giniva's "What?" Is muffled slightly by the wall of debris between us.

"I have to save Laria."

"Why?"

"Because...she's my friend." As soon as I say this, I know it to be true. It sounds so good and perfect and clear and strong that I almost want to say it again. I hear scraping sounds, a few grunts, and Giniva's head pops up above what once was the ceiling. She smiles.

Giniva~

My head kinda stings, but I manage to smile at Seth, clutching the crowbar in my hand. "I like this thing," I chattered, dropping it over the wall before clambering down over it. "You can go save her, Seth. Take the crowbar, it would suit you better then a purse."

He smiles gratefully as we exchange the objects. "Meet outside when you are done? I have something to do."

I'm already clambering back over the wall as Seth responds: "Yeah! Thanks."

Iglance back down, grinning in response before I pull !myself over the wall, face to face with Tani. Or was it Trill? One of the 'T' girls.

"What were you doing?" I confront her, holding the purse possessively. I had seen the animals behind her. "I saw in you in the woods that night, and now you are leading animals."

She gulps, glancing around. "Um....I-I..."

"A spy? Thought  so. That probably means it is your fault for all of this chaos happening. Well, not your fault specifically, but I am sure you contributed."

"No, I didn't do anything about this!"

"But you are a spy?" I am smirking now, having gained the upper hand.

She panics, shaking her head hesitantly.

"Then why the animals?"

She begins to stutter again, and I raise a hand to stop her. "Give up. What are you doing here and what do you want?"

Rob ~

I'm inside of a tree, hiding from the Gryphon. It's scary. And big. I watch as they put it in a cage. The cage is big too. I look around. I see a big building. It's a BIG building! I'm scared of BIG! I climb out of the tree. I run over to the cage, climb in, and bite the Gryphon. "That's what you get!" I scream in my tiny hamster voice. "You rampaging, big, mean monster!" I blow a raspberry, then skitter away. "Who is that?" I hear someone say. "Oh, he's the new Capt'n O recruit."

Oh no! Nice one, Giniva.

Trill gulped. Then she sighed. "You got me. By the way, I'm really sorry about this mess. I didn't mean for this to happen..." Trill cast a forlorn look at the ground. "What are you doing here?" Trill asked Giniva. "Looking for Laria. You?" "Same thing." Trill replied her hopes rising. She smiled. Giniva cast an unbelieving glance at her. Trill nodded. "Really. I am. Cross my heart and hope to die."

Tani~

I creep up in front of the Gryphon, almost dangerously close, and study its wing. The feathers are a little bent, and the flesh underneath doesn't look like it's lying right. I wince, and it lets out another bellowing roar.

All around me, people are brainstorming how to talk to the beast. I hear things like "Morse code?" "Uhhh...hexadecimals!" "KLINGON."

I stifle a laugh, but then Storm caws loudly and everyone quiets. He flies into the center of the crowd, in front of the Gryphon's cage, and drops the object he'd been carryig in his beak - the tablet translator - on the ground. He pecks at it a little, and soon, an automated voice comes from the tinny speakers. All of us crowd around the tablet in hopes of hearing what to do next.

"We've captured the Gryphon," the mechanical voice says, "but that's not everything we have to do. This tablet can translate what we - and the Gryphon - say, so does anybody have any ideas of what to actually ask it?"

Storm looks at us expectantly. We lapse into murmurs, the animals softly cawing, squeaking, or hissing. I turn to a red-haired spy next to me who I've never seen around before. He's the only one not talking to anyone else, instead peering at the Gryphon like the secrets to the universe were written on its feathery exterior.

"So what do you say to a mythical beast who you've just beaten up and stuck in a cage?" He asks me suddenly, never taking his eyes off the Gryphon.

"Beats me," I say, surprised. "Maybe where it's from, why it was set to be summoned when the Power of Wing was activated. But maybe it doesn't even know itself."

"Interesting." He says, sticking out his hand. 'I'm Iain." I shake it. "Tani." Strangely, I get a strong sense of deja vu. it feels like I've seen him before.

Andrew~

It seemed a little like the world was falling apart as we knew it, but I wasn't participating in the insanity. I had a head cold and doesn't everyone know that if you adventure with a head cold it turns into a chest cold?!? I wasn't risking it. I was laying pathetically with my lovely multicolored sheets pulled over my head and sneezing piteously.

Suddenly, I heard some awfully loud noises outside that sounded suspiciously like the end of the world. I hurried out of my dorm when suddenly everything went blurry. Heavy stuff pinned me to the ground before I even knew what was happening.

"OH MY GOODNESS!" I screamed as horrible pain surged through my waist and thighs, "SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!! IM GOING TO DIE HERE!!!!"

The world around me spiraled like an out of control carousel. I'll admit I'm not the strongest guy on the planet, and it felt as if everything was collapsing on to me, like everything. I started to count my breaths as I struggled more and more to force them out.

I heard screams, a lot of them. It looked as if the boy's dormitory and the main hall were partially collapsed due to something like super scary.

I started sobbing like a little kid, "I'm never going to grow up," I wheezed, "Never become a true adult, never get married to Tani!"

I suddenly heard noises, someone was coming to get me. Maybe I wasn't actually a goner.

I figured since the gryphon is half hawk, I should ask it questions in bird, because hawks were the ones who made the bird language. "Hello fellow bird, I need you to calm down, or you'll end up even worse than you are right now. Can you please calm down?" I asked. The gryphon stopped sqwacking sqwack nonsense and actually looked at me in curiosity. I dared to fly into the cage. The Gryphon replied in a deep voice in bird. "It's been a long time since i've seen light." I was so startled that I would have gone yeep right there, but I just lost a wingbeat, and got back up agian. "What's your name?" I asked it. "I have no name, but if I did, I have forgotten." the gryphon replied. I hooted. We should be able to communicate a lot quicker now.

I watch as Storm asks the Gryphon some questions. "What is your name?" "I have no name, and if I did, I have forgotten." He also says that he hasn't seen light in a long time. It sounds very sad, actually. My heart breaks for the poor beast when I look into his eyes. I see a lifetime of sorrow. A deep sadness, that must go back to the dawn of time. His wing is broken, where feathers should be, there's only torn flesh. I cringe. Who are we? To do such a terrible thing? Then I remember the citizens. The Gryphon, burning buildings. I perch on a bar of the cage, beside Storm. I know some bird, since I am a chicken. "Why were you trying to hurt the people, the animals, of the town?" I say in bird. "I mean no harm to anyone exept the evil and corrupted." It answers. "Long ago, the humans came into our perfect world, and ruined it. They cast out animal rulers, like I once was, wanting to rule the world themselves. They thought we were just dumb beasts, with no feelings or emotions. I figured some animal must have blown The Power of Wing, that magical flute, to summon me, to kill the humans." He says. This time Storm speaks. "But that isn't what happened at all! The scientists at BIG had the power, and they're the ones who called you to this world! Those people in the village, they're inocent! They did nothing to deserve this!" He says. " and if you only kill humans, why were you fighting Capt'n O?" I say. The Gryphon speaks again. "You fought me, and so I thought you had sided with the humans." He says. "Do you mind telling us one more time why you hate the humans so much again?" Storm says.

*******************************************************************************

This is where the power origin stories come in. If anyone disagrees with what I am about to write here, please comment. We can work this out in a calm, polite, way.

*******************************************************************************

"There was once a dark planet. It had nothing but blackness. But there were stars in the sky, bright stars. And one day a flower blossomed. No one knows how or why. But it grew, tall and beautiful. The flower was full of life. At first it just gave off a bright light, a warm glowing light. But then something came out of it. It was a kitten, with the head of a hawk chick, and wings springing out of its shoulders. That was to be the Gryphon. It was me. Then the sky became blue, and a sun came into it. Then a small snake grew out of the flower. It had tiny claws. This was to be the Clawed Serpent. And then grass grew around the flower, and spread over the land. Then a tiny fish like creature sprang out of the flower, with tiny fins, and sleek scales. This was to be Sea Dragon.  Then a river ran out of the flower, clear and beautiful. Next, a tiny foal sprung from the magical flower  It had a tiny horn on the top of its head. This was to be Unicorn Mare.Trees sprung up everywhere, and other beutiful things bloomed. Next, a tiny pup bloomed from the flower, with tiny wings. She was to be Angel Wolf. Then other flowers bloomed, but they weren't like the golden magical flower. Stars sprang into the night sky, as did a moon. Then a tiny black lizard like creature came. It was to be dragon. And all of the magic came into the land. The five creatures grew, and ruled the land. They called it Kyngdom. But Dragon also controlled evil. Like Gryphon ruled sky, Serpent ruled the land, Sea dragon ruled the waters, Unicorn ruled life and beauty, Angel Wolf ruled voice and the night sky, Dragon ruled magic, and evil. And so the others cast her out. What was called the power of fang, became the power of darkness. But that is not important. Then humans came from another land, they took over Kyndom, ruled it themselves. And eventually, one by one, we died. But a musical instrument was born, having the power to summon us back. So I came to take revenge on the humans, when I was called back."  I understood now. Storm translated for everyone else that wanted to know. "I'm sorry" I said to the Gryphon. Then I stepped in the cage, and bandaged his wing.

Tani~

The girl from the market. That's where I knew him from. The realization had just popped into my head. The girl who had first gotten me involved with the F.A.F.A.- somehow Iain was connected to her. Even as Storm seemed to start talking with the Gryphon, my mind was wandering.

Just as I was about to turn to Iain and ask if he knew said girl, another part of B.I.G. collapsed, almost completely enveloped by flames and debris. I'd been too busy fighting and then capturing the Gryphon, so I hadn't had the chance to pay attention to the destruction over at the building. But the part that had collapsed was bigger, and opposite the main hall, which was partially destroyed itself - the boys' dormitory.

I turned towards Storm, who was currently the head of the group. "I've got to look for survivors!" I yelled, irrationally angry. "What good is 'Fur and Feathers' if lives are put in danger all the same?"

I didn't wait for an answer, leaving the group in stunned silence as I ran towards the heap of whatever grey stone B.I.G. uses to build. People were starting to crawl out of it, scraped and burned, and I winced. I heaved aside a chunk of stone for a boy to be able to move his arms, and another for a boy who was almost being flattened.

As I helped a few people out of the debris, I heard someone crying out from under it. They were talking to themselves. I heard a "never" a couple times, followed by- my name?

Whoever it was had been pinned under by a particularly large rock. I placed my hands on the flattest part and pushed as hard as I could. I shut my eyes when my muscles started to strain. Two more seconds and I'll move it, two more seconds -

And I did. With one last heave the rock toppled over and exposed the boy under it, who was sobbing like he thought he'd die, his waist down buried under another boulder. He looked exceedingly familiar.

"Ce--Andrew?" I said. "Wha--how--oh man. Hold on."

I pushed at the rock covering his legs and it slid down the ever-growing pile of debris. He looked like he'd been hit pretty badly, his legs cut and raw. I tried to help him to his feet, but his knees buckled. Another jet of flame spurted up behind us. We had to get out.

I slung his arm across my shoulders and helped him to the grassy area in front of the collapsing building, where most people were congregating (except for, of course, the spies and animals in the back.) "Medic!" I shouted at no one in particular. "This guy needs a medic!"

It was chaos there, with students and teachers running in all directions. The ever-so-organized B.I.G. was being submitted to its worst fear - disorder and destruction. And nobody seemed to be able to do anything about it.
