(Shall we start?)

Trill sighed. She was standing near her bed in her dormitory room. She had three pictures of the Cypher wheel spread out in front of her. "Which one should I bring to the meeting place tonight?" she muttered. Shrugging, she picked them all up and tossed them into a bark and felt shoulder bag, along with some notes and papers. She was now ready for the night.

Trill sighed again and picked up a WWI codes book to wait until nightfall.

That little human has followed me back to my den. She is now sitting meekly in a corner as I write this. Let me tell you how it happened.

When I reached the place I make my home, the human girl gasped in wonder. My den is a cozy little place, but I don't think there is much to gasp in wonder about. She walked in and sat down in the corner that she is currently inhabiting. "Whoa, whoa, whoa," I said. "Who said you could stay with me?" "I don't have anywhere else to go," she responded sadly. "Why don't you go back to where you came from?" I ask hotly. "St. Lionel's doesn't want me back. I'm sure they were pleased when they discovered I'd run away." Now the cub's voice was quiet, as if she was trying not to cry. With this development, I remembered a similar moment in my own cubhood. Great Gary's Circus would have never taken me back when I ran away. "Alright," I said gently. "You can stay. I hope you don't mind eating berries." "Oh, no!" she exclaimed happily. "I love berries!" "What do I call you?" I asked. "Jordan is what they called me at St. Lionel's." she responded. "Is that your real name?" I asked gruffly. I suppose my Major's demeanor has come back. I shall have to work on that. "My real name is Cymerå," she said shyly. "That's much better," I said truthfully. Cymerå smiled. We had one disagreement after that, but human cubs are known in these parts for their eagerness to forgive a trusted friend. I hope that was no myth.

Waking up, I have a splitting headache. I blearily look around. I'm hooked up to a bunch of IVs and other stuff. Ugggh! Captured by the B.I.G again. I realize something. I must have recovered some of my memory. Otherwise I couldn't have remember how to turn the tree to stone or that the B.I.G had captured me before. I try to reacount more but it's just too tiring. Way...too...tiring.........................

"Well," Trill stood up shakily. "I'd better go. Bye guys." She started to move out of the room. "I'll miss you." She whispered softly. Walking down the hall, Trill sniffled a little. She had been at B.I.G., spying for the FaFA almost her whole life. Now here she was, walking down the halls for what she assumed would be the last time. Trill happened to glance into a room on her way past. She immediently stopped and backtracked. Looking around, she took a closer look. What she saw made her gasp. There was a young girl laying on a table in the middle of the room. Two professors stood in the corner, discussing her. Trill snuck closer to listen in.

"She is a hybrid." One said.

"How do you know?" Said the other.

The first one stuttered. The second one smirked. "Exactly. You don't."

They continued talking, but Trill snuck back to the front of the room. Thinking, she  wondered what she should do.... Then she smiled.

'Maybe I can do one last act of good.' She thought.

A few minutes later, Trill was running softly down the hall, the young girl under her arm. Bursting out the doors, she heard the professors yell. Footsteps thudded down the hall where she had just come from. "Trill?!" Tani said in bewilderment as Trill pasted her. "Goodbye, Tani. Good luck." Trill said quietly. Then, Trill continued running into the forest. She took a deep breath.

"I must see the FaFA. My job has been compromised." She said into a tree. The tree dinged and slid open. Still holding the girl, Trill awkwardly jumped into the chute that appeared.

Storm is gone. He had to do something back at the gryphon scene. "Wait here until I tell you it's safe" I say to Thimble and Rob. I jump off the tree branch and flap my wings slowly to the ground. I must face this frightening beast, Claaws. "Why do you want to wipe out all humans?" I ask bravely. "Oh, small chicken. If only you could have seen the world before the humans destroyed it." She answers. "But only a few did, like BIG. What if some humans were willing to obey you, or even help you?" I say. "Ah, if only. But I am sad to say, that will never happen." She seems quite set in her beliefs. I sigh. I look up into the tree and call for Thimble and Rob. They both scamper down the tree and sit beside me, one on each side. "Will you hurt us?" Thimble asks cautiously. "No, dear mouse. I am here only to help you." She says. But Thimble doesn't hear Claaws because I am whispering something in her ear. "You heave him up onto my back, then make sure Rob gets away safely with the instrument." I finish. Rob looks at me questioningly, then Thimble tells him the plan and he nods. As Claaws is speaking, Thimble, Rob and I creep around and find the badger unconcious. Thimble helps him onto my back, while Rob grabs the instrument. I know Thimble is the strongest, strong enough to help me with the guardian, but Rob is the fastest and he zooms away on his tiny but fast feet. No one could catch him at that speed. I fly off, as thimble scampers to help Rob with the power, just as Claaws tells us to run because the serpent will wake soon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I land beside a flowing stream, Rob and Thimble have been following me on foot, although it has been a short trip here. I tilt my body enough for the Badgers body to slide off. He sits up on the ground and looks around. "Who, who are you?" He asks in a kind voice. "My name is Scarlet." I say. "And this is Thimble, and Rob" I gesture toward my little friends. "Hello!" Thimble says, extending her paw to the ancient guardian, which he shakes gladly. "Hi." Rob says, and shakes the Badgers hand in his usual gruff manner. "Do you happen to know where the power is?" He asks and a worried expression passes over his face. "Here. Brought it from your burrow. It was activated though." Rob hands over the tiny xylophone. "Oh, dear me. I have the awfulest headache." He says  "Have a drink of water." I say. The old  badger bends down to take a drink. "Oh, where are my manners!" He says. "I'm afraid I haven't even told you my name!" I hear the awful sound of a screeching serpent. "There will be time later!" I say. "We need to get to safety!"
I noticed an owl being captured by BIG in the destroyed building. I flew as quickly as I can at the scientists. My screech startled them, and when they spotted me, they ran away. I looked at the owl in curiosity. I don't meet many creatures in my life until i got little crow's letter. I noticed her wing was scratched, which is minor. Otherwise, the owl was healthy. I decided to get a blueberry and feed it to the owl. Hopefully she gets better.
I heard footsteps, and I hid. Trill and some other scientists enter and left quickly. I went back up and in surprise, noticed that it was no owl. It was human. It must be a shapeshifter. A few have joined the Mapmaker's association. I figured she must be Wiseowl. She was a shapeshifter between a small girl and an owl. She did have long dark hair and is wearing a cape of brown feathers that everyone can assume is fake because it's illegal to catch bird feathers that are real. She is also smaller than I thought. Shorter than Tani and Trill by a few centemeters. She woke. Her eyes show confusion clearly. She might've had a concussion. If she had a concussion, she may not recover her memory until a few weeks, or months have passed. "You are a librarian that works at a library called Readers Barn. Everyone knows you because you are helpful and the first thing that greets you there." I told her. Her memory seems to come back. I don't know her well enough to help her remember much else, but hopefully, she remembers everything in a few days. Not in months.
I remember what the person told me. I think his name is Storm. But that does not help my situation. Especially since I still can't remember everything. Right now, I am caged up like a commen animal. I let out an aggravated sound, frusturrated that I can't force the lock open. Suddenly I heard footsteps. Cornelia Hornshaw is standing right in front of me. Usually I would hide behind my hair, but the mix of frustrurration and anger bring out a boldness in me. I glare at her. She smiles right back. " Wiseowl," she begins. "The board has made an agreement. We will let you out and have you live in the dorms if  you will tell us about the opposing force, dedicate your work to the Brazen Inquiry Guild, and allow us to study you without a struggle." I have to admit, I almost agree. That's how much I wanted to get out of this cage. But I look at the other caged animals. The F.A.F.A. doesn't deserve this from me.  And the B.I.G shouldn't get anything out of me after how they have treated me. "No," I finally say. Surprise shows on Cornelia's face. Then anger. "Fine!" she says, gritting her teeth. When she stomps out of the room I cheer to the other animals. "Fur and feathers forever!"
Hiding under the table, I heard Wiseowl say, "Fur and feathers forever!" after talking to Corneila. The animals, instead of cheering, growled and gashed their teeth as if she were their worst enemy. Worse than BIG. I look at the caged animals. Their fur and feathers are either covered in blood in splotches, or they had them sticking in random directions like they never cleaned it in months. The animal's fierce red eyes glared at us. I believe BIG had altered these animals to become more ferocious. Maybe to be used in an animal army against all others for world domination.
Margaret ~
I am sick tired of all this hiding. Ever since our job with the Cypher ended me and Katie have been outcasts. Even as animals we're ignored at best and attacked at worst. Even Katie can't get a meal out of these people. They are just like the scientists we met during our work on the Cypher. Stuck up snobs who won't give a couple of homeless animals some shelter. We can't leave though, because I have great reason to believe that the Snake-Shifter who killed my parents is here. This may be the last chance I have to find out who he really is. I look at Katie. She's brought back a mouse and a price of bark, wrapped in mud, and a letter. Still an owl, I tear it open eagerly. It's from the BIG. The institution we've been looking at. I look at the piece of bark. It's a letter. About some crow who's gotten herself lost. I look at Katie, unsure of what to do. Join! Her eyes seem to say.
End
If anyone wants to play Katie, they can! I'm not playing her myself! She is a cat-shifter by the way. Read my friend part of my character form, which is on page nine of that blog. My character is an owl-shifter. Shifters can basically turn into any type of animal, but it depends on how they are classified. If you're a dog-shifter, you can turn into any breed of dog, but not any other animals, like a cat. Let me know if you're confused. Please!
