"COME BACK!!!"

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

"COME BACK!!!"

"COME BACK!!!" You cry tearfully as the dog wrenches his leash out of your hands. "COME BACK!!!" You yell again, soon realizing it's futile to yell any longer. That was your friend's uncle's friend's daughter's dog, and she had entrusted you complete care of him. You'd better start looking for him, then. As you call through the streets, you see a brown streak cross the road and head right for you! It's Marty! Except... what's that in his mouth?! It's the neighbor's cat! No, wait, it's just a cat-shaped note. Grabbing it, you unfurl it to see that it says,

Day 0--Part 1

Cho was met by a crowd of confused CBers. She walked her dog up to the closest AE and asked what was going on.

"Oh, well, the farmer's assistant is announcing something. Shush and she'll tell us what's going on," said Puck, who was slowly reaching into Joan's back pocket to see if the bag of pranks was there. The farmer's assistant was standing on a raised platform in front of a gravel driveway, opening her mouth to speak.

"Welcome, CBers, AEs, and CAPTCHAs, to the Resort Farm! As you can see behind me, our electric gates are about to open, and when they do, I'd like you to all run in a mob up the driveway. The farmer asked me to ask you to calmly stroll up, observing the scenery, but I don't want anyone to lose sight of their AEs. So get ready to run."

"What a considerate person, to realize an AE's need to madly dash everywhere," said Icy to OtR, who nodded in agreement.

With a loud groan that suggested that the gates had not been opened for quite some time, the way into the farm was opened, and the AEs, like the Farmer's Assistant had predicted, led the mob up the driveway and onto the resort's land.

The CBers wished to take a look around, but the mob was forcefully pushing them along, so all they saw were catches and glimpses of an enormous red building, a fence, and a large house up in the distance. When Sydney began to wonder where the Farmer's Assistant had gone, she heard another galloping that wasn't the mob-dash-gallop. The Farmer's Assistant was riding bareback on a zebra, shouting something.

"EVERYBODY! THAT'S THE HOUSE UP THERE! WE'LL PROBABLY BE THERE IN A HALF-HOUR!"

~~~~~ 30 minutes later~~~~~
All the CBers were out of breath from running up a hill, especially Moonfrost, who was carrying a large heavy ball. --Wait, no, I think that was her luggage.
"Let me carry that!" Fretted Rosemary, who was very worried Moonfrost would trip and fall.
"No, Rosemary, we're here now! I can manage myself," Moonfrost gently told her AE.
"Uh, guys, take a look at this!" Spyro yelled from the backyard of the hotel-sized house.
"Spyro! Come back over here! I don't think it's very... well, you don't care. I'm gonna go see what he's yelling about," Hotairballoon mumbled. Hesitantly the others went around back and collectively gasped at the sight that befell them.
Day 0 ~ Part 2
The CBers looked from the top of the hill in awe at the valley below them. Scattered here and there were forests, bush clumps, and fenced-off areas with cows and sheep inside. Buildings in between everything were strangely empty of people; though there were no windows for anyone to look into. And the most amazing thing of all, was how BIG the entire back was! The CBers couldn't even see the end of it!
Closer to the house, however, was a picket fence that encased the first backyard, or something like that. Since the CBers hadn't gone inside, they couldn't see what was in the backyard, because obviously the only way into the backyard was through the house. Then the farmer's assistant walked up behind them.
"Hey, where's your zebra?" Micearenice asked.
"I've just finished putting him back in the stables. Why don't you all come inside? Sorry about the un-relaxing start to your getaway, but I think you'll enjoy what's inside the backyard."
She dusted off her hands, shook her brown hair free of dust, and unlocked the front door. One-by-one the vacationers filed inside. Once again, everybody gasped.
In the living room was an elaborate, well-lit room with squishy couches and mahogany stairs leading into more rooms that were most likely just as extravagant. There was a door with light flooding the doorway, and a heavenly scent drifted into the CBers noses. Fresh-made doughnuts.
"YEAH! DOUGHNUTS! UH-HUH!" Spyro shouted, though we all know what he had in his suitcase.
"Come with me to the back, Cybers, please."
Everyone followed the assistant through a door under the stairs and into another room, this one a large dining room. Then they traveled through a crafting room that Poetic Panda and Booksy seemed to like. The room closest to the back was a library, and it took some prodding by a certain assistant to get everybody out.
--------------------
In the backyard, witch was half as large as a football field, was a pool, an ice-cream stand, three waterslides, and an odd contraption that looked as if it were meant for flinging people. "This is our form of easy transportation. You press a button on its side as to where you want to land, then it flings you right there! As long as you don't squirm while in the air, you will most likely land on a trampoline landing pad. Anybody want to try it?"
The AEs all cried yes. The CBers weren't so sure. Dragonrider stepped up.
"Sure," she said. The farmer's assistant put Dragonrider on a red 'X', and then pressed a button reading, 'Parade'. Half a second later, Dragonrider was soaring through the air as if she was riding a real dragon. The group followed in this manner until no one was left in the backyard.
-----------------
At the place marked, 'Parade', the CBers had all bounced safely off the trampoline and onto a concrete pad. Festive lights decorated the trees on either side of an asphalt path that was in front of the concrete sidewalk. So basically it was like a street. The assistant hopped up onto a board with a microphone and announced,
"Everybody, welcome to the Welcome Parade! The Welcome Parade is about to begin, and please stay off the asphalt. It can get pretty dangerous."
Suddenly a worker came out of nowhere and whispered something into the assistant's ear. Her face became creased with worry.
"Cybers, please do not move a muscle."
An uncomfortable murmer rippled through the crowd as CBers latched on to their AEs and CAPTCHAs. Then a terrified murmer raced through the crowd. Most of the CBers were facing the other way of the street, but Micearenice wasn't. She was panicked, but wouldn't turn around to see what everyone was staring at.
"Mice," Booksy whispered, "look behind you."
Slowly the mouse-loving CBer looked behind her, and let out a blood-curddling scream. Three lions were stalking her, getting ready to pounce.
"Mice, slowly back up!" The assistant yelled. But Micearenice was too afraid to move. With a roar, they leapt, and the terrified crowd had to look away.
Too late the lion-tamers wrestled the lions down, too late did the CBers run away, too late was it for poor Mice.
----------------------
Back at the house, the CBers sat, subdued.
"How could you let this happen?! What were you doing with LIONS on your farm?!" Was just one of the many phrases uttered by scared and confused CBers. With a sad face and raised hand, the assistant quietly explained.
"CBers, this was no accident. Our lions are well tamed, and were chained together for the parade. One of you unchained the lions, causing Micearenice to leave us. There is a murderer amongst us. You should all get some sleep. Here are your rooms, and I'll show you your way.
