Sam-

Jealousy swept over me like a tidal wave. My own sister wouldn’t talk to me. She would only talk to Tray. Tray and her importantness. And me? I’m always left behind.

After Nell whispered the “oh-so-important” message to Tray, she disappeared. Without even bothering to look at me!

It was when we began to walk back, that problems began to kick in.

“There’s something dark here…something evil.” Katherine grabbed my hand for comfort.

“Why, I don’t know if that’s such a nice way to talk about the God of the Underworld,” Hades announced proudly.

“Yeah, um, the lightning and horror music isn’t coming, ‘kay? Jazzing it up is pointless.” As you might have noticed, I wasn’t in a good mood.

Hades glared. “You’re always the most respectful one, Samantha. It seems you’ve been hanging out with your siblings too much.”

“And it seems you’ve been lying with dead bodies for too long. Maybe you should take a shower.”

And you can probably imagine that Mr. Hades wasn’t all that happy at this remark. So he took us to his hall.

*

Hades’ hall was empty except for his skeleton guards. I guess Persephone was with her mom.

“So what brings you here?” he demanded.

“Dad, it’s part of our quest. Just half-blood stuff.” Tray looked unnaturally pale.

“Hey, we really didn’t mean any of this badly. If you could just let us go…” Jen felt as uncomfortable as I did underground. Katherine didn’t seem to mind.

“Not so fast, Jennifer. I don’t think my brother would mind too much if I kept you here a little longer.” He turned to Tray. “ Daughter, you either tell me or you get a time-out!”

I snorted. That was exactly what she needed. A very long time-out.

“Urgh. It’s just girl stuff…”

“Girl stuff? You came to the Underworld for girl stuff!?” He was getting mad.

“Well, I wanted to know…” Tray looked around, her eyes saying, “help me”. No, I wouldn’t help her. I wasn’t in the mood.

“She just found her true love.” Katherine smiled. “His name is-“

Then Tray screamed as loudly as possible, trying to block out the words.

“SILENCE!” Hades stood up and grabbed her wrists, making her cry out in pain. “Stop screaming! What’s wrong?”

“I just needed to let that out. “ Tray answered hoarsely.

“Say the name again, Katherine.”

Katherine’s voice was once again blocked out by an awful scream from Tray.

“Shut up, girl! Say it again.”

“BLAKE! HIS NAME IS BLAKE!”

Then we were poofed into Tray’s room.

Tray-

I'd screamed out his name is Blake because I could not let my dad know it was, Nick. Sam looked seriously angry. "Why didn't you help me?!" I shouted. The pain seared through me once more but I ignored it, my black eyes blazed. "Why should I?" I knew immediately what the problem was. Nell. I smiled slightly, and sat down. "You're jealous because only I got to talk to Nell." She burned bright red. "Am not!" "I'm not stupid you know." "I think you are!" "Wow, that wasn't nice." She got redder and angrier. "Shut up! What was SOOO important that only the great and powerful Tray could hear anyway?!" My eyes remained black but I was calm. "I talked to Nell because Nell had something to say to me." "And what was that?!" "NICK LIKES ME!! And I think I like him too." I put my face in m bleeding hands and didn't move. It was dead silent.

Ooh, llama drama. Lol Laughing

Oh la la! Romance! :D

Sam-

I’m not someone who can stay angry for long...like Tray. Sadly, I wasn’t born with that gift. So as soon as she told me what Nell had said, I melted back to my old self.

“You- you – you like him?!” Jen yelled. “You’re in love with my brother and the evilest person in the world?!”

“I just said like.”

“Tray, we’ve had three years to figure out that when you say like, it means love,” I told her.

“Well, I don’t know. As soon as Nell said that he liked me, something clicked.”

“What exactly makes you like him…?”

“You know, I really don’t think he’s a really bad guy. He’s just-“

“Evil? Psychotic? Crazy?” Jen suggested.

“Cute.”

“I think there’s drool on your chin,” I informed her in an overly polite voice.

She rolled her eyes. “You don’t believe me? I mean you don’t believe that Nick’s good?”

“No,” Jen and I exclaimed.

“Actually, there’s a possibility that he has to be saved just like Jen.”

 We all turned to Katherine.

“You see, they could both have poison in them… Maybe Nick isn’t bad. Maybe he’s just…” She stopped, searching for a word.

“This stuff is making my head hurt.” Jen plopped onto Tray’s dark bedspread.

“You know, Tray, I think you should forget him.” Of course, this would probably be impossible.

“I-I can’t.” See?

“Thanantos, may I speak to you?” That’s when we noticed Hades standing near the wall of one room.

Tray-

Oh gods. I was so dead. Jenifer moved out of the way to let me pass. I followed Hades as he lead me out of the room. As soon as we were out in the hall he was about to speak when I stopped him. "Before you yell at me just know I'm seriously injured, so nothing that'll hurt me please?" He was silent for a few seconds. "I, I'm not mad." "Uh, come again?" "Let me finish before I change my mind." I nodded. "Okay." "I'm not mad because of what Kathrine said. If there is a chance he's not supposed to be, eh hem, that way, then I'm uh, fine, with, it." I broke into the biggest smile I've ever made. I can't even begin to describe how happy I was. I was so happy I hugged Hades. "Thank you." He just cleared his throat, nodded, and walked away. I walked back into my room with that huge smile still plastered on my face. "I didn't hear any screaming, what happened?" Sam asked. I just smiled. "Nothing, we're good." "Tray can I ask you a question?" Jenifer asked. "Yeah, why?" "Just 'cause. Ok so my question is, are you mentally stable?" "Yes." "Then what in the world do you see in my psychotic, crazy, let Hiporborean nearly stab you to death brother?" I laughed, groaned at the pain and sat down. "I can honestly say I'm not really sure. Something just clicked." "Good gods this is crazy," she muttered. "If I may say something, I think I know how we can tell if Nick is poisoned just as Jenifer was." Kathrine inquired. "You mean is?" I muttered. Jenifer stomped on my foot, lighter than usual but still hard, and I screamed. "Really?" I groaned weakly. "Yup." I coughed. "Ok, so Kathrine how are we gonna tell, and if he is poisoned." "Which he isn't," Jenifer muttered. "Which he is!" I snapped. "How do we tell?" I finished turning back to Kathrine. "We tell the same way we did with Jenifer. Check behind his ear. Then if he is, we cure him the same way we cured Jen. With a lotus flower," she finished. I grinned. "Got it. Sam, remember that flower shop where we first met Nick?"

Just for the record, I looked through the 2nd Part of the RP, trying to find where the flower shop was but I couldn't find it so that's why a part is sort of missing...

Sam-

“Sure, but… “ I didn’t even finish my sentence. Just looked at the floor. The truth was, that place gave me the creeps for various reasons. One of which had a whole lot to do with Nell.

“But what?” Jen’s electric blue eyes searched me. “Oh no! Not you, too!”

“Wh-what?”

“You’re in love with Nick, too?”

“Huh?”

“Oh gods!”

“Um, Jen? I don’t think she is… I think this is something else…” Tray intervened. She had more of a soft side than Jen, and probably knew what was bothering me.

“You know, Sam, you have to stop fearing her.” This was the first time I’d ever heard Tray give any advice without being sarcastic.

“I’m not afraid of my own sister.”

“You’re afraid of remembering her death.” Her assumption was correct. Nell’s death was like a nightmare, always haunting me, always nagging at the back of my mind.

*

The streets were dark and only lit by the flickering lamps situated on every corner. We walked past the hotel we’d stayed in, but didn’t stop.

“It’s over here.” I said, trying to speak a softly as I could.

We crept a little farther until the shiny glass windows were in plain sight.

“So,” Katherine inquired. “What do we do now?”

"Well, we go inside." I say simply, and walk into the store. Instantly the smell of flowers almost knocks me out. Dozens of roses blooming in pink buckets, white drapes covering a felt counter. Blergh, it's like I walked into the Aphrodite cabin, I can practically taste the girliness in here, it's disgusting. I walk up to the counter and ring the bell. Persephone appears sitting in a chair with her head resting on her face. "What're you doing here?" I ask her, trying to wave the smell away from my nose. "Mother picks the flowers while I have to sell them. This almost makes the Underworld sound fun. Anyways, do you want anything?" Tray walks forward, brushing me out of the way. "Yeah, we want a lotus flower." Persophone breaks into a teasing smile. "Aww, here's my wittle stepdaughter wanting a lotus flower, is it for your wittle boyfriend?" She bristles with anger and I can't help by snickering. "How. Do. You. Know." She exclaims through gritted teeth. "Oh, darling, just because I'm not in the Underworld doesn't mean I don't get the hourly newsletters." Tray sighed. "Look, do you have a lotus flower or not? And no, it's not for whatever boyfriend Hades might've told you about." "Sorry darlings, but I've just sold my last flower, you'll have to talk to them." Sam and I step forward. "Who'd you sell it to?" we both ask. "Why, I believe it was...Medusa? Yes, yes, it was Medusa!"

I checked and the flower shop scene's in the first part.

Tray-

"Medusa?" Persephone nodded, a slight grinn on her annoying face. "For gods sakes, why does it always have to be something deadly?" I moaned sitting down. "Don't worry Tray, you're to week, we'll do it ourselves," Jenifer said obviously not trying to comfort me. "Wow, thanks that's so helpful," I said sarcastically. Suddenly Persephone took a picture of me. "What was that for?" she grinned. "So I'll never forget the day Tray Martin couldn't do anything to help." My eyes turned pitch-black, and my hands balled into fists. "Tray, calm down," Sam said, a serious look in her eyes. "Whatever," I muttered. Jen snickered. I stood up. "Come get me when needs a nose job over here tells you where to find Medusa." I walked out just as Persephone looked like she was going to kill me. A flower shot up out of the ground and started to wrap around my leg. I winced as it started to shoot thorns into my leg. "Stop it before I tell Hades," I managed. The plant disappeared, and I walked out without turning back. When I got outside I wrapped up my leg again and leaned on the door with my arms crossed. When Sam walked out she had a 'seriously?' look on her face. "What?" "You better be glad Persephone told us where Medusa is." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah yeah whatever. Where is your dad's ex anyway?" Sam got really annoyed. "Shut up Tray. You should be glad we're even doing this. After everything Nick's done I don't even think we should be helping him." My eyes went back to gray. I looked at my feet. "Sorry." Her eyes soffened. "It's ok, she's a few miles from here, so let's go." Jenifer and Kathrine walked up. "The fastest way is to drive." I gulped. "Oh gods," I said looking at the bus then at Sam's eager face.

I'd really like to post, but I don't see where Persephone tells us where Medusa is... Was this it? Come get me when needs a nose job over here tells you where to find Medusa.

I don't really understand that sentence.

I stumbled over that, too, Elizabeth. I think someone is being referred to as Needs a Nose Job, using that in place of the character's name. Capital letters or hyphens would make it easier for the reader.

Sam-

We stepped into the bus. Everyone seemed to already be queasy. My driving wasn’t excellent, but it wasn’t that bad, was it?

As soon as everyone had sat down, I hit the gas pedal and sped down the narrow streets of the town.

We came close to hitting some cars and some drivers weren’t that nice, but all in all the drive went well.

“There it is,” Tray squeaked, holding onto the seat and pointing to a white farmhouse.

The bus skid to a halt and Katherine fell off her seat.

“Sam, you know that was really nice of you to drive us, but…” Jen held her stomach, her face slightly green.

“Are you feeling all right?” I asked.

“Yeah. Sure. I’m fine,” she managed, through clenched teeth.

*

“So, how do we get in?” Katherine whispered. We were standing in front of the house.

“We don’t even know if they’re in there,” Jen said.

“They are,” Tray confirmed.

We walked to the side of the house. Its outer walls were covered in peeling paint and the yard was littered with cement garden statues. I had a weird feeling that we were being watched.

“This window is open,” Jen pointed at a dusty glass window in front of us.

Tray peeped over the windowsill.

“Careful Tray! Her hair turns you to stone, remember?” I warned her.

I noticed her mouth fall open and her eyes turn stony black.

“What’s wrong?” Jen wanted to know.

“They’re- they’re kissing!”

“Whoa! My brother’s kissing a Gorgon!” Jen suddenly hoisted herself up through the window.

When we had also gotten through the window, we saw Jen tackle her brother and curse him. “You’re kissing Medusa! Really, you-“

“He was just thanking me for bringing him the Lotus flower.” Medusa smiled at Nick.

Tray knocked her out.

“You know, you should be a little less violent. It makes people nervous.” I looked at Medusa’s limp body lying on the wooden floorboards.

“Why do you want to become good again, Nick? I thought you wanted to bad!” Jen yelled at her uncomfortable looking brother.

“I don’t want to become good, but that’s the last lotus flower you can find, Tray. Now you have only one choice. Join me in my plans to destroy the world. “

Tray-

I stared at Nick my mouth hanging open. He twirled the flowers in his fingers, a smug look on his face. I couldn't speak, I was in too much shock. Sam spoke first. "There is NO way Tray is going with you!" she snapped. Then she looked at me a little worried. "Right Tray?" I didn't move. "Tray?" she asked, seriously worried now. I looked back and forth from her to Nick and back. Despite my injuries I turned and ran out of the store. I heard my name being called by multiple voices but I did not stop, and I did not turn around. I didn't think I could make that choice so I just ran, I felt the blood start to run down my body from all the wounds but I didn't stop until I was a good mile and a half away from that place. When I did stop I sat down and put my head in my hands. I knew I'd have to make the decision eventually: Go with Nick or save the world. I turned back, "Gods, why do I have to be such an idiot?" I muttered. It should have been a simple choice. The problem was, it wasn't simple. Not even close.

Sam-

“I thought that would be an easy choice,” Nick muttered, watching the door, through which Tray had just disappeared.

“It is. She’s going to say no.” I tried to say this as confidently as possible, but I really wasn’t sure myself. If Tray were sure, she wouldn’t have run away. So was she actually going to think about joining Nick?

“I would really love to capture you three, but I think Tray wouldn’t like me if I did so I’ll let you all go.” He smiled as if that was the best thing he’d ever heard. “I do like her when she’s angry, though. It’s cute.”

Jen gagged.

“Don’t be upset, sis! You’ll find someone to love soon enough.”

“Hopefully not someone like you.”

“You-“

“Don’t you two start fighting again!” I yelled at both of them.

“We weren’t fighting,” Jen said.

Nick looked at a little watch on his wrist. I had a feeling it wasn’t a watch, though. “Looks like I’m late. Sam, tell Tray that if she doesn’t meet me at the little shack in Florida she’ll have to pay.”

“Why does she have to meet you?”

“To tell me her decision!” Then a cold wind started to spin around him and he disappeared.

“Nice exit,” Jen growled.

I looked at Medusa lying on the floor motionless except for the hissing noises coming from under her veil. “I think we’d better go before she wakes up.”

We walked down the stairs of the front porch and gazed out over the fields.

“Where to?” Jen asked.

“She went that way.” Katherine pointed down the dusty road.

“How do you know?” Jen and I both exclaimed.

Katherine shrugged and we began to head down the road.

*

Tray was sitting on a rock, looking at the stars. Her clothes were covered in blood from her not fully healed wounds.

She looked up when we came closer.

“Hi.” She greeted us meekly.

“You’re actually thinking about joining Nick?” Jen blurted out angrily.

“I have to consider everything.”

I shook my head and knelt down in front of her. “I know you like him, Tray, but isn’t this a little too much?”

“What do you know, Sam? You never have been in love with somebody. I’ve never even seen you with a boyfriend. You have no idea what it’s like! All you have is stupid little Nell and she’s dead, Sam. You hear? Dead. D-e-a-d. You have no idea how hard it is to make a decision like this!”

My eyes filled with tears and my lower lip quivered. Then I backed away from her. Slowly, step-by-step.

“You’re heartless.” Then I turned and ran.

Tray-

As soon as Sam ran off I regreted it. "Sam wait!" I shouted. I was just mixed up; it wasn't her fault. "Nice going Tray, again," Jenifer snapped. "Shut up Jenifer." I started to get light-headed so I wrapped up my wounds again. "I need to be alone." I walked away leaving Kathrine and Jenifer together. Probably not the best idea but I was too mixed up. I put my hands in my pockets and walked through the woods. The cool night air calmed me down and I could finally think again. Going with Nick was stupid, but there was a part of me, a relatively large part, that wanted to go. But there was a third option; keep trying to save him. That seemed like the perfect choice, but was it even possible? And if it was, would it even work? I started to hear crying. I snuck through the bushes to see Sam crying but a small pond. I started to walk toward her. "Hey, you ok?" "No. Now go away." I sat down next to her. "Look I'm sorry about what I said. I, I'm just a little confused right now." She didn't look like she believed me. "I know what I said was stupid, and I'm sorry. I just, don't know what to do. I know what I should do but it's not that easy you know? If someone offered you the chance to resurrect Nell would you?" "Of course." "Let me finish. But if you did you'd have to become evil and when you were evil you almost killed me or Jenifer, or Kathrine. Would you still do it?" "Well, I, I mean-" "Not so easy is it?" "No I guess not." She turned to face the lake. "That's what I meant. I didn't mean to be harsh I just don't know what to do. The logical part of me knows going with him is stupid. But there is a part, I don't how big, that wants to go. Then there's a small almost hopeless part that thinks I can still save him." Now it was my turn to look at the peaceful lake. "I get it. We'll do everything we can to help; there is one more thing you should know though. Nick wants you to go to the little shack in Florida to tell him your decision. Whatever that means." But I knew exactly what it meant. "He wants me to go back to the warehouse," I muttered. Her eyes got wide. "Not again." "Yes, again. And I am going." "What? Are you sure that's a good idea?" "Yes I'm sure. And I'm going alone." She laughed like she thought it was a joke. After seeing my face her smile faded. "Are you serious? That's crazy! If you say you won't join him he'll probably give you to Hiporborean. And in your current condition you'd never survive annother round with him!" "Probably but I've got to go. So, bye." "Wait what?" Then a crack opened in the ground and I fell through. I traveled through the underground to Florida. It was faster that way. When I got there I shot through the ground in front of that dreadful warehouse. I strode in as confidently as possible. Every instinct I had told me to run. I was just too stupid to listen. "Ah, Tray finally." Nick appeared out of nowhere. "So have you made your decison?" "Yes." "And it is?" "I'm not joining you, I'm going to save you." "Fair enough." Then he just turned around and started to leave. "Wait, that's it? No knives of Chinese water torture?" "No, I won't do that to you. That's why I'm leaving now before he gets here." "He who?" "Hiporborean who else? He brought Jack too. Now I won't tell you where they are but I'll tell you that if you don't leave now they'll probably kill you. Oh and one more thing." He kissed me. I don't think I've ever been happier. "What was that for?" I asked, barley able to breathe. He shrugged then was gone. I took his advice immediately and escaped to the underwold before Jack and Hiporborean got there. I appeared in front of the campsite with an overly happy expression on my face. "What happened?" Sam asked. Kathrine smiled. "Nick let her get away." "Seriously?" Jenifer didn't seem to believe her. "Yup, he did. He didn't even care that I didn't go with him," I said, a huge smile plastered on my face.

//Jenifer//

"Nice going, Tray. Look what you've done." Katherine went off to find Sam so I was left with Tray. "Look, it's the same with you! You don't know how it feels, okay? You've been little miss princess of the world, always getting your way! Well, I'm the daughter of a weird old guy who lives underground! I never get what I want, and finally some little thing comes around that I actually have a chance at having, and yet again the chance is ripped away from me! You don't know how it feels." Her voice faltered and she collapsed on the rock she was sitting on. I awkwardly sat down on the ground next to her and patted her back, and when that didn't work I brought  my hand away and stared at the ground. "You're wrong. I do know how it feels." I paused, debating whether or not I should tell her this. "He was an Athena. Ash blond hair, piercing gray eyes. Tan. It was before I knew I was the daughter of Zeus, when we were about 14. Hardly anyone was at camp, then. I got my first quest that summer, and I chose him and another girl to come with me. We went to San Francisco to stop some monster rebellions, and we were climbing up one of the mountains there." I breathed in a shacky breath before I continued. "A storm came and a bolt of lighting brought down a huge oak tree. ((Lighting...oak trees...see, it's Zeus' fault)) It fell between me, and him and the other girl. I had a choice. Save them or continue up the mountain, to the group of monsters that were right there, so close. By now the tree was on fire, and between the flames I could see him. Our eyes met and a look of such deep hurt was the last thing I saw in those gray eyes, because after that the flames reached them and they were gone, both of them, forever. I was too late, and they've never left me. I tried looking for him, and the girl, too, in the Underworld, but they weren't even there. They deserved Elysium. I loved him, and the girl was my best friend, and now they're gone because I was too late to make a simple decision." She was silent, but she had stopped crying, so I felt that my story had some use to it. "That's why you have to go. Go to that snack shack, and convince Nick that his ambitions are wrong, that he can have power but not be against the gods, that you and he could be together but not be trying to kill all the demigods. I'll come with you, try and talk some sense into him, but I can't do it without you and I bet that you wouldn't be able to do it without me, especially since using me is the fastest way to get to Florida, other than Sam's little toy."

I'll let ~Sam~ make the decision on whether or not she'll go :)
