Hey Chatterboxers! I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Hey Chatterboxers! I

Hey Chatterboxers! I haven't been on Cricket in a while. Some of you might remember me. So since I just got back I've decided to make a new RP! Ok, so it's like an academy for 'special' kids. For example empaths, or people with super reflexes. Basicaly low key super powers. Ya it's kinda corny, but it's fun! So yeah.

Here's my charrie:

Name- Laura Anderson

Physical Description- average height, long strait black hair, sharp blue eyes, tan

Personality- nice, funny, easily excited

powers: empath (can read other people's emotions), and can sometimes control other people's emotions too

Ok, so, the whole thing is the school is trying to turn these kids with special abilities into living weapons.

Laura-

I stared at the wall of my room with the speakers on full blast. I wasn't exactly sure what song was playing. I usually ignored the lyrics. Suddenly my mom banged on the door. "Laura! Someone's here to see you!" I shut off the speakers and opened the door. "Who?" "Just come and see for yourself." While my mom just walked down the staris I slid down the hand rail and jumped down at the bottom. A tall woman with short cropped hair and sunglasses in a suit waited at the door. "Who are you?" I asked. She seemed to glare right through me with those dark sunglasses, like she was testing me or something. "I am Miss Russo of the Academy for Special Children." I glanced at my mom. "What, am I mental or something?" My mom rolled her eyes and sighed. "Of course not Laura! Miss Russo's just talking about, your, uh, unique abilities." "Oh gosh. You mean?" "Yes." "Great. Ok so what's the plan? Take me to a government facility and do tests on me?" I asked Miss Russo. "No. You're not that special." "Gee, thanks." "Go on Laura, you'll be able to learn how to control it." "Yeah ok, whatever." That's when I packed my bags and headed off to the Academy in a dark limosene with blacked-out windows.

I think they'd probably figure out she was captured. This has to be short; sorry, but I've got a party to go to and I want to post before it starts.

Quinn-

Name: Taylor Bell

Age: 16

-is an orphan at St. McDonald's Orphanage

Great, another orphan. Am I capable of being anything else? I took a blond wig and makeup-made freckles were added on and then I left for a private school in like Queens or something. The day went by slowly. I wasn't going anywhere with anyone so I just hung around like an idiot, and tried not to get noticed. At around twelveish I heard something over the coms about Kayden having a girlfriend? Which completely freaked me out. It was quiet again until 1:30, when Nyota's nervous voice entered the com system. "Sorry, but the school Laura, Sora, and Gail went to is on fire, and they haven't come out alive yet." My head snapped up. I raised my hand. "Yes Miss. Bell?" "May I please go to the bathroom?" Granted I didn't have Laura's power to control people but I could be pretty charming when I wanted to. "Yes go ahead." I almost ran out of the room. I headed into a supply cabinet and spoke into my com. "What do you mean fire?" Nyota replied quickly, "I mean the school is burning down and only Gail, Sora, and Laura haven't come out alive yet." "I'll be there ASAP, and turn down the temp." I ran out of the school, and got a cab. I gave the driver the location of the school and in about 5 minutes I was there. I threw a couple hundred pounds at the guy and ran toward the burning school. The place was freakishly hot. Some kids saw me running toward the fire. "NO, STOP. YOU'LL GET BURNED!" they shouted. But I just ran right through the flames, having turned down their temperature so they could no longer do any kind of harm. The smoke was a problem though. I couldn't see, and I could barely breathe. I heard the sound of breaking glass and figured it was the three of them getting out of the classroom. I ran toward the sound and soon I found the classroom with only Sora and Gail in it. The glass wasn't broken. "COME ON!" I shouted over the collapsing building. They ran out with me. Soon we had all flopped on the ground, panting and coughing. Some policeman put masks over our faces and fresh oxygen came rushing through. I breathed it in gratefully. Suddenly I realized something. I ripped off the mask and turned to Sora and Gail. "Where's Laura?!" I shouted. Their eyes widened with shock and fear. People came over to congratulate me on being a hero but all I could think about was the sound of breaking glass and what I now realized was a body falling to the floor before I found Sora and Gail. I turned to them in horror. I turned on the com so everyone could hear. "They took Laura."

Okay, one thing: The school Gail, Laura and Sora are at is in England and you're in Queens so I don't know how the cab could've gotten there in five minutes but whatever... :D

Sora-

Laura ran out of the classroom before Gail and I could follow her. I must admit that I was so worried about the fire that I hardly even noticed.

Before we knew it, Gail and I were the only ones standing in the classroom. We both coughed and covered our faces with our shirts, yet that exposed our stomachs so it was almost as bad as choking.

“We’re going to die,” I wailed, looking out the only window in the room. Fire trucks and ambulances had already gathered in front of the school. Firefighters were frantically hosing the school down with water.

“There must be some sort of cloth around here to cover our mouths and noses.” Gail started to feel around in cabinets for some sort of material scrap. At the same time, I’d started to hit the wall with a metal sword from a bulletin board about the medieval ages.

“Catch!” Gail cried and threw something at me. I lay it over my mouth and tried to gulp in air, but my lungs were already clogged up with smoke and ash.

We were going to die.

Suddenly someone opened the door. I stopped hitting the wall and squinted through the smoke.

Quinn!

“Come on!” She yelled, coughing. She could turn down the temperature so that the flames could burn down, but she couldn’t stop smoke.

We ran out of the building, falling onto the ground as soon as we were outside of the school.

Paramedics forced oxygen masks onto our faces. The crowd that had gathered was cheering because Quinn, the hero, had saved two girls caught in the fire.

I lay on the ground, inhaled the cool air deeply and wished that I wasn’t lying on the cement.

All of a sudden, Quinn sat up. “Where’s Laura?”

My happiness at being saved was gone in a minute. I’d forgotten Laura. I hadn’t followed her. I’d forgotten to-

“They took Laura.”

“Who took Laura?” Gail ripped off her mask. “MI6?”

I shook my head, understanding exactly what Quinn was thinking. “No. There is no corrupt MI6 group. This was all a plan to get us out of the Academy and to take Laura here so that she could be captured.” I felt dizzy and put my oxygen mask back on, but it didn’t help. My breath was coming in short spurts. I swallowed hard, rocking back and forth.

A blond paramedic rushed over. “Are you having breathing problems?”

I couldn’t answer. My heart was beating so quickly that I couldn’t hear a word.

“Breathe deeply.” The woman said. “We need her blood pressure, Dave!” She yelled to a colleague.

Gail and Quinn were watching me with faces of pure fear.

Dave began to take my blood pressure.

Snippets of Laura’s future were racing through my mind like a movie. And suddenly I was inside her head. I was Laura. I didn’t know how far away she was. Something like this had never happened to me.

She was in a room. A perfectly square room with stainless steel walls and stainless steel floors. A big room with what looked like desks was connected to the square chamber she was in.

The big room. The same one from her future.

She wasn’t alone. She was with someone. A boy.

“Okay, relax.” I took notice of a needle being pushed into my arm, and I screamed.

“G-get away from me!” I jumped up. The mask was ripped from my face.

Quinn was frantically speaking into her com.

I turned mine on. “Guys, drop what you’re doing now. Laura has been captured. This is not the MI6 mission. There is no MI6 mission. She’s somewhere here in London. Catch a plane. Find a jet. We have no idea where she is. All we know is that she’s in an office building with a stainless steal room.”

The paramedics obviously thought that there was something wrong with me.

“She’s in shock.” The blond one said. “She needs to be taken to a hospital.” They advanced on me, but I dodged. I had to get to Laura.

“GET AWAY FROM ME!” I screeched and kicked at the man who was grabbing for me.

Both Gail and Quinn had stood up and were coming towards me.

The blond paramedic tried to stab me with a needle, but I jumped into the nearest thing, which happened to be the ambulance.

“Jump in,” I yelled and drove off with Quinn and Gail in the back.

Laura-

I mumbled through the gag until the boy couldn't take it anymore. "What do you want?!" he shouted. I smiled. "Nothing, just felt like making conversation. So what do you like to do in your free time?" He put the gag back on. I waited silently, but inside my head was spinning. All my thoughts were converging into one giant thought that I hoped Sora could pick up on. GET ME THE HECK OUT OF HERE! I looked around trying to find anything that could become a suitable escape route when it hit me. I almost smiled. I made him feel freakishly happy. He got a goofy look on his face and took off my gag. I looked him straight in the eye. It was high time to try that whole controling-people thing. "Mr. Turner." "Austin." "Ok, Austin, would you please untie me? Pretty please?" I asked in my sweetest voice. He made a goofy grin only a guy could make and nodded. "Sure." He untied me and I shot up, making a quick round house kick that knocked him out cold. I grinned. "Don't let the bed bugs bite." I smirked, then I headed toward the door. Of course it was open. I jiggled the handle and slammed into it a couple times. I wanted to pull my hair out I was so frustrated. I sat back down thinking quickly. Nothing seemed to work. Suddenly the door opened and the man from before walked in. I aimed to kick him but he caught my leg. I stared in shock as he pushed my leg and made me fall. "That was a test. I wanted to see how powerful you were. Guess what, you passed," he said, grinning. "And so you either work for us, or you die." "I'm never working for you." I spat. "That's ok. But I think I'll wait to kill you until your idiot friends get here." He pulled out an iPad and touched the screen. Security footage of Sora, Gail, and Quinn driving an ambulance came up. I groaned. Sora's vision was going to come true soon. "Such a feeble attempt. I'm not worried about your other friends either. Kayden, or Cassie, or Nyota, or Sonny, or even that Russian super weapon, well, the other one." "Lipa," I said through gritted teeth. "Yes, yes, Lipa. Whatever. Enjoy your stay." He winked at me and left. Austin woke up and tied me back up. "If you're like us, why are you working against us?" I asked before he could put the gag back on. "Excuse me?" "You have special powers, like my friends and I do. We're like you. Why are you fighting against us?" He was quiet for a minute before he put the gag back on. "Because I know who the winning side is. I always do."

Just so ya  know, I can't be on for the next...two weeks? About, until the 16th because I'm on Spring Break, so that's why I won't be posting, unless I can get my hands on a computer, which is unlikely.

//Kayden//

"Thanks for the ride, John!" I yell as I jump off the rickety old plane and onto the runway. All the planes to London were backed up so I got a ride with some old guy with buck teeth and in overalls. "You're welcome, little boy!" he yells, waving to me through the window as he flew off. I jumped into a cab and went onto the main highway, where, what do you know, there's an ambulance, sirens wailing, and swerving back and forth. I wait until we're driving right next to them and I turn all nearby powers off and watch them get all mad, then look to the car next to them. I wiggle my fingers at them and they glare at me, so I turn their powers back on. They turn off on an offramp and I follow them, all the way to an abandoned orange packing warehouse. Throwing the driver a couple hundred pounds I jump out and follow Sora, Gale, and Quinn into the middle of the warehouse, where I see Laura tied up in a chair, tapping her foot on the ground, and a kinda sorta maybe cute boy playing with a metal pole that I guess is supposed to be a weapon. Quinn makes it really cold and I turn their powers off. Laura smiles and the boy looks around, gripping his pole and standing up. "Who is that? Is there anyone else here?" Laura mutters something under her gag and the boy rips it off. "How would I know? Not like I can see the future or something." She chuckles and gets the gag put back on. Gail slips in and crouches behind a generator or something, and we follow. Sora closes her eyes and I'm guessing it looking into the future, and Quinn is changing the temperatures so pretty much everyone leaves to try and see what's happening, and all that's left is Laura and the boy. Gosh, I feel so helpless, all I can do is turn powers on and off. I can't think of anything to do, so I just walk in. The boy looks surprised and Laura looks like she'll rip my head off, but I just walk towards her and stand next to her chair. "Mind if I take her back? She's needed for class." He doesn't say anything so I just take off her gag and untie her hands.

Sorry I can't finish this, I have to leave!

Sora-

 We were inside the building, which was an orange packinghouse. Inside we, meaning Gail, Quinn, Kayden and I, crouched behind a generator. Kayden and Gail had already advanced on Laura and a boy next to her who was holding a pole.

I closed my eyes, trying to see the changes in Laura’s future.

Once again she ducked behind a wall. Once again I heard footsteps running off. Once again she whispered the word “help”. Once again she sank to the ground.

Why was the vision the same? Why hadn’t it changed? Weren’t we saving Laura?

I opened my eyes and saw Kayden gagging the boy and leading Laura off.

“Are you okay?” Gail asked Laura.

“Yeah… Sure,” she said a little shakily. Then she glanced back at the boy. “We’d better go.” So we began to run through rooms as fast as we could.

We were in a small room full of cut up cardboard boxes when Gail stopped.

“Do you hear that?” she whispered and looked at the ceiling.

I listened closely and heard the faint sound of something scraping over the ground.

“Human warmth. I can see it. They’re right there.” Quinn pointed at the cement ceiling.

Instantaneously a crash sounded and men with dark masks on began to spray something at us. It was thick and yellow and made my eyes sting.

“Don’t breathe it!” Quinn screamed. I felt the room get colder as she tried to make the gas dissolve. It didn’t work.

“Let’s get out of here!” Kayden hollered, beginning to flee.

I almost followed but remembered Laura. This was a trap. They wanted us to flee.

I ran in the other direction, the direction from which we’d come.

I didn’t hear a thing, not even a word that told me Laura was alive. Was she already dead?

“LAURA!” I called.

The gas cloud was beginning to thin.

Then I perceived a rumbling under my feet. Was there a machine down there?

No. Wrong. The instant after I noticed the sound, the ground cracked beneath me, and everything within ten feet exploded.

I was rammed into the floor by the force. Covering my ears and neck, I pressed myself onto the cement and waited until the explosion had passed.

When I was sure that the worst was over, I slowly got to my feet.

Beams from the ceiling had crashed onto the floor. Ruble from exploded floor parts lay around me. The light of a fire lit the whole warehouse.

As I studied the room I was in, I suddenly noticed where I was.

The room from Laura’s future.

“LAURA! LAURA, WHERE ARE YOU?” I sprinted to a wall that hadn’t been damaged by the explosion and found her slumped behind it.

“Laura?” I whispered, fearing the worst. “Laura, wake up.” I slapped her bloody cheek. Her clothes were soaked in it, soaked in red.

Was she dead?

Laura-

I coughed violently and snapped awake. I cried out in pain. There was something lodged in my stomach. I could feel it. "Oh my god." Sora looked panicky. I looked down and realized why. There was a metal pole in my stomach. I gasped and my breath came out in rasps. I realized where I was and looked around quickly with wide, scared eyes. "Laura, come on, we gotta go." I looked at her helplessly. Like that was ever going to happen. I felt tears reach my eyes. "It hurts Sora, it really hurts." "I know Laura, come on, get up." She helped me stand up but I almost fainted; the effort was too much. "I can't, I can't do it." My breathing was rapid. All I could do was stare at the pole sticking out of my stomach. Suddenly I heard footsteps and Sora's vision came back to me. I gave her a fearful look. She looked around helplessly. Then she was tossed aside by a strong hand. She crashed into a wall barley concious. The man from earlier put his hands around my throat. I felt the oxygen stop. My lungs screamed for air. I looked at Laura, "Help." The man let go of me and I sank to the floor. The last thing I heard was footsteps running off and thinking, it came true, before I shut my eyes and blackness consumed me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first thing I noticed when I woke up was I wasn't dead. The second thing I noticed was the unbelievable pain in both my stomach and my neck. Then I noticed the bandages. I was still in the torn, bloody clothes, but the pain made me sink back into unconciousness.
When I woke up a second time I noticed Austin standing over me with his metal pole, his eyes full of concern. Then the pain made me black out once again.
When I woke up I came around for good. I sat up with difficulty and touched the spot completely covered by bandages. Then I touched my neck, which still hurt in an unbelievable way. I looked around and noticed a small metal food tray. I reached out to take the Jell-o when I heard someone's voice. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Austin walked up swinging that dumb pole. "Why not?" I tried to ask, quickly noticing that no sound came out. He sighed. "I wouldn't do that either." I gave him a cautiously curious face. "General Corp wanted you dead pretty badly. When blowing you up didn't work he tried to choke you. Your stomach's not going to work properly for a while. You had some pretty serious damage in your pancreas. You're not going to be eating anything solid for a while." I nodded and pointed at my throat. "Oh yeah, when he tried to choke you he did some pretty heavy damage to your vocal chords. You won't be speaking for a while. If you ever get to speak again." I looked at him in alarm. "Don't worry there's only a 5% chance that's going to happen." I calmed down again. "Did I say five? I meant 50." I looked up in alarm once more. I made a motion like writing and he handed me a piece of paper and a pen.
Where am I? I wrote carefully. "You are at MI6. By the way, everyone thinks you're dead."
Why? "Because technically you should be dead. Oh, and your friend Sora was unconcious when we got you, so she'll just think you're dead."
Why am I here? "Because you can't go back to Russo's monkey academy like that. She'll feed you to the wolves. It's just an expression. But my point is, no one can know you're alive until you're healed enough to fight again.
How long will that take? "You want the real answer, or a reasuring answer?" Great.
Real "At most a year. At least, a few months." I stared open mouthed at him. A few months?
Sora-
I opened my eyes. How long had I been unconscious? Where was I?
The pain in my head was indescribable.
I looked around the room and remembered what had happened. Laura and the pole in her stomach. The men. Me being thrown at the wall.
Where was she?
I tried to stand up, but dizziness overcame me, and I was forced to sit down.
Calm down, Sora. Slowly get up. I told myself. And I did. I slowly got to my feet and limped to the wall where I’d last seen Laura.
She was nowhere to be seen.
Fear boiled in the pit of my stomach and burned in my throat.
She was dead.
That was too much for me. I sank to the ground and began to cry. We hadn’t been able to save her. She was dead. She was gone. Why? It was my entire fault.
I suddenly remembered the com and turned it on – or rather, attempted to turn it on. It was broken. I had zero contact to anyone.
“Hello!” I rasped crawling across the floor. What if the others were still there?
“Sora!” I heard Quinn’s voice somewhere above me. It was only a small bit of hope, but enough to propel me up the stairs.
At the top was a room, or more like a closet. It was small and pieces of the floor were missing.
“Quinn! Where are you?”
“Right here!” Her voice was coming from behind a door.
I ran and opened it, yet there was no Quinn. Only a man with wide shoulders and a scarred face and a girl, maybe a little older than me.
The man grabbed me before I could move. “Why hello, Miss Sora, correct?”
I didn’t move.
“Are you really that scared of me?” he cackled.
“Where’s Quinn?”
He pointed to the brown-haired girl next to him.
I examined the girl in confusion. “You’re not-“
“No. I’m not Quinn, but I can imitate a voice that I’ve heard before.”
“Where have you heard her before?”
“At the Academy. Where else?”
“You’re from the-“
“Yes. I’m here under Airlia’s orders, actually under Mrs. Russo’s…”
“Mrs. Russo sent you here?”
“Who else would have? I thought you knew her plan. Don’t you read minds?”
I shook my head in disbelief. “This is all a dream. This is all a dream,”  I said over and over.
“No, it’s not.” Then I was knocked out.
*
I was in a room. It looked like the place from police shows where they ask you questions. Was I about to be questioned?
A woman entered.
“Hello Sora.”
“Where am I?”
“That’s not important.” She sat down in a chair across from me and tapped her red fingernails on the surface of the table.
“Where’s Laura?”
“That’s why you’re here. You have to tell us.”
“I don’t know-“
“Don’t lie.”
“I don’t-“
She stood up and moved her face really close to mine. “Tell me.”
Her thoughts were awful. She was angry and was thinking about all sorts of torture methods to get the truth out of me. The problem was, I wasn’t lying.
“Tell me now, and you won’t get hurt.”
I shook my head. “I don’t know.”
She made a clicking noise and ten men burst in and took me away.
“I don’t know! I really don’t know!” I screamed with tears falling down my face as I was dragged out of the room.
Lipa-
I hadn't been there when the building exploded and Laura had been killed, but now I was. I was waiting outside wtih Gail and Quinn who were both gray from ash. "Where is Sora?" I asked. Gail shook her head. "We don't know." "And Laura?" "I heard a man shout 'she's finally dead!'" Quinn's voice was almost a whisper. "We need to find Sora," I said, then I spread my wings and shot down through the rubble. I looked everywhere but there was no one to be found. Finally I heard Sora's voice. It was cracked and barley audible. "Help! Somebody help me!" She was trying to shout, but probably only me and Gail with super senses could hear it. I soared down to where the voice was coming from. What I saw shocked me. A man and a young girl maybe a year older than me were standing next to each other. "Where is Sora?" I asked. The girl smiled. "I'm right here S-LP." My eyes narrowed and I got into a fighting stance, but something started to invade my senses. It was a smell. It's smelled a little like gasoline but I knew that's not what it was. It was sleep gas. I tried to take off, but before I knew it, I was asleep. When I woke up I was tied to a chair, my wings were bound together painfully. A tall woman with cropped blonde hair and long red fingernails entered the room. She sat on the chair in front of me. "Where is Sora?" I asked. "She's safe, as long as she tells us where Laura is." "Where is Laura?" I asked. "We know you know. We have the others too; Gail, Sonny, Kayden, Cassie, Quinn, Nyota. All in custody. We know you are the only ones who know where she is." "We don't know. We only know she's dead," I said. This seemed to shock the woman. "What? How?!" she shouted. I remained silent. "Tell me how!" she shouted again. "You are forgetting I was trained to be a perfect weapon. I will not tell you," I said in a monotone voice. She glared at me, stepped out of the room and suddenly the gas filled the room. I was once again asleep.
Quinn-
It had been Lipa's voice that made me come. The man and girl had taken me, and knocked me out. When I woke up I was in a chair with my arms strapped down. A woman was sitting across from me. She had blonde cropped hair, pale skin, and long ugly red fingernails. "Now honey, we can make this quick and easy, or it can be long and painful. "Where's Sora and Lipa?" I asked. I already knew Laura was dead, there was no use asking about her. "Safe, but for now I want you to tell me where Laura's body is." I glared at her. "How should I know, melon head?" Her head was shaped like a melon actually. It was odd. "You seven, Lipa, Sora, Quinn, Kayden, Sonny, and Cassie all know where she is. You have to tell us." I snickered. "We don't know Mrs. Melon, and lemme tell you something: if you don't know, there's a good chance no one knows." She didn't like this. She called for guards and said, "Fine, I guess we do this the long and painful way then." They carried me off while I struggled. They led me to one of Miss Russo's boxes and horror gripped me. "NO! Please stop! NO! DON'T MAKE ME! PLEASE!" I shouted. They threw me into the box and my nightmare began. The rocking, the water. I was so scared I forgot to breathe, and I almost passed out. When they took me out of the box I was soaked. I saw them leading Sora toward the box. She saw me and her eyes got wide. "Quinn!" I glanced at her with bloodshot eyes. I let the guards drag me out of the room while I barely paid attention to Sora screaming for me. They led me to a cell where I curled into a ball and cried. I heard them drag other people around and throw them into the cells next to mine, but I paid no attention. I was too freaked out. I let the noise fade into the background before I slowly fell into a nightmarish sleep.
Laura-
I spent the next few days working with people to build up my strength. Twice I almost messed up the stiches in my stomach. I could now sit up and walk without much pain. I still couldn't talk though. On my third day there Austin came back. "So, Anderson, how are you feeling?" I grabbed the pad and pen and wrote, Like I've just been run over by a bulldozer. What would you think, Turner? He laughed. "Ya, I figured. Don't worry though, you get used to it." How would you know? "Because something like that's happened to me before. Stinks, i know. But hey if anyone can fix you, we can." Funny, he didn't sound British for MI6. Where am I? "Like I said, MI6." Then why aren't you British, and why is no one else here British? He swallowed hard, a slightly worried look on his face. "Well, that's because, um-" I held up my pad for him to see. I'm not in MI6 am I? He shook his head. "No you're not. But trust me, you're safe." I glared at him. How do I know that? "We haven't tried to kill you yet have we?" That doesn't mean much in my case. He turned and started to walk away before turning back and saying, "Laura, no one is safe." Then he left, leaving me to wonder about this messed up world. And also, why was no one safe?
I had been shopping with Victor when they came for me.  I wanted to go to the fire, but went shopping while I decided how to without blowing my cover.
As usual, I saw what happened five minutes before.  I asked Victor if we could cross the street.  The shop we got cornered in in my vision was on this side of the street.  Luckily, I heard Nyota's voice in the boutique and dragged Victor toward her, needing an ally.
When I got all the way across, though, my visions told me something I hadn't thought of: it wasn't Nyota.  It was too late, now, though.  I was knocked out in seconds.
I awoke in a drab room.  Seriously, hasn't anyone who owns the room ever thought of curtains?  A woman in a horrible suit came in.
"Tell us where Laura is," she said before she even walked through the door.
"Who am I?" I asked.  "Who are you?"
"Cut the amnesia act.  We know you know."
"Know what?"
"Where Laura is."
"Laura is at home," I said.  This wasn't a lie.  My mother's name was Laura, and she was sick, so she wouldn't be venturing out today.
"We've checked there.  Tell us the truth."
"I was.  My mother's name is Laura."
"Too much resistance.  Guards!"
Her goons stormed in and picked me up forcefully.  I was dumped in an even drabber cell.
Truth is I know Austin Turner... We went to middle school together.
(There is a long story there with many explanations, but that would take
too long to tell) I still didn't know how I got onto this mission, but
now I did know why I had, or at least I hoped I did. Austin wanted my
help somehow.
I was jumped after Lipa ( I think that's her name) flew off and even
though my reflexes are good they really don't help with sleeping gas is
involved.  I awoke bound to a chair in a plain room with an empty chair
facing me. I heard a woman walk in. She came around to where she was
facing me. (I forgot to mention that my back was to the door.)
She said when she was facing me, "Where is the girl Laura?"
I knew it was important that I make her believe me even though I knew what I was saying was a lie.
"She- she's dead. There was an explosion and she was...was killed," I
said in a rough tone trying to sound like I was sorry she had died,
knowing I didn't have to be weepy since they probably knew I had only
met her a few days ago. I kept my eyes downcast as well. She seemed to
believe me or at least believed that I believed what I was saying
"Take her away," she said to the room at large. Someone came in and
unbound me, handcuffed my hands behind my back, and walked with me down
the hall with a gun placed at my throat. I was mildly suprised that
they knew what people's powers were.
I spent awhile just sitting in the small cell in which they had placed
me. I didn't really know how much time had passed, but I could hear that
the others were in cells beside mine by the moans, and somtimes,
screams. They fed me a meager amount of food, mostly very stale bread
and water.
After what felt like at least a week, but was probably just two or three
days I heard a very very slight noise coming from where the door used
to be. The door swung open and I saw Austin. I stood as quietly as I
could and walked out hoping I had been right about him wanting my help
and having helped Laura. They were really just hopes. I decided Austin
still was my friend and walked along more casually although still
silently.
We arrived outside, under the cover of some large objects probably for
power or some such. He seemed to know this place like the back of his
hand judging by how he navigated it so flawlessly. The place we were in
seemed to be far from any city in a rather deserted area. We were still
in england though, he informed me under his breath. We walked casually
off till we were far from the buildings. (You may be thinking that
escape was way too easy but it was harder then described) After we were a
fair distance away he said we had to run.( I decided that the partially
burned ballet flats I was wearing for the school girl bit were really
not so great for running so I took them off and held them while we ran.) I
was not as strong as I had been before the mission, but I was still
strong enough to run two miles I think we ran before he stopped. We were
now by a road, not very well traveled and a car was just driving up,
perfect timing right. Austin told me to get in. We drove in silence till
we got to a small airport where there was a plane.
Before I got on I was swiped with one of those metal detectors things and I was glad it told me I was free of any devices.
Finally speaking normally Austin said, "I didn't want to say much
before, just in case they bugged you. That metal detector can since even
the smallest chip. So we are now free to talk." I climbed onto the
plane, Austin following.
"Are the others going to be all right? What about after they have found I
have gone? They probably already have. Will they be all right?" I asked
once we had sat in some seats.
"I hope so."
"That is not very reassuring"
"Well, it's honest."
"So why did you rescue me"
"Well remember you said. 'If you ever need me for something crazy I will
be willing and ready.' Well I am holding you to that, Peters. And yes, I
can see that question you're about to ask, we've got Laura and she's
alive."
If this is too wild or doesn't fit with the rest of the story or is just awful then you can just ignore my post.
Sora-
They didn’t bring me to the cell right away. No. They took me to a box similar to the one that Con had used on Laura, Sonny and Quinn.
“I really don’t think this is needed… I don’t know where she is. Trust me. I don’t know.” The truth is, I was scared out of my mind. I had no clue what they would do to me, and I really didn’t want to find out.
“Please! Don’t do this to me!” There was not even one sympathetic thought in the minds of the guards.
As they began to throw me into the box, I saw Quinn.
“Quinn!” I yelled. She turned and looked at me with bloodshot eyes. I wanted to say more, but I’d already been tossed into the room.
The inside of the box was white. Was this supposed to be scary? No. What came next was scary.
The white room changed into a desert full of sand. The wind was howling, and dark clouds blocked out even the smallest ray of sun. I tried to move, but my feet were stuck in the ground. I pulled my feet up harder, yet the wind pressed me down into the ground. Invisible claws yanked my body.
All of a sudden the sky seemed to start sinking. It pushed me even farther into the ground. I grabbed at the sand, searching for a root or a branch of some type. No branch. No root. Only sand.
The sky was crushing my lungs so that I couldn’t breathe.
I screamed frantically for Quinn. Tears rolled down my face. There was hardly any air in my lungs, but I kept shrieking.
A few minutes later I was pulled out of the box by someone, however I hardly noticed. As they hauled me off I passed out.
*
I awoke in a dark, damp cell. I was alone.
“Hello?” My voice was hoarse from screaming. My throat felt raw, and I yearned for water.
“Who’s there?” Someone asked from the cell across from me. Was it Sonny?
“Sora. Who are you?”
“Sonny.”
My heart leapt slightly. How glad I was that someone familiar was there even if it was Sonny.
“These cells sure are drab. You know, when I get out of here I’ll sue them.”
“Because the cells are ugly?”
“Is there any other reason? This is offensive to the world.”
I snickered. “Were you tortured too?” I questioned, getting more serious.
“No. Were you?”
I nodded, but remembered that she couldn’t see me. “Yeah.”
“What did they do to you?”
“I was put in the box.” I told her about the desert and the sky. “What happened to you when you were in there?”
I heard her squeak slightly as if even the remembrance of what had happened was too much. “I had to wear tennis shoes. Then I went into this store and was forced to wear non-designer clothes. Liv Tyler called and said I could no longer be in Lola. And then – this is the worst part – my lipstick didn’t match my dress. Plus I was on the red carpet. It was horrible.”
I held back a laugh. “Wow… That really does sound bad.” I leaned my back against the cell wall. “Is there anyone else here?”
That’s when I heard another voice. “Yeah.”
if Elizabeth M. meant someone in particular to be in the cell with them then it's fine with me if we get rid of this post. :) and sorry this is so short, today isn't going to leave me a lot of time to post. :)
Airlia--
"Yeah." I smirk in the dark cell as I hear the two girls' surprised gasps. I feel Sora's mind trying to get into my thoughts, and put up a mental wall of fake thoughts like Miss Russo showed me. What I'm really thinking is, Tell me where Laura is right now! If only there was a way to get them to trust me! GRR! I hate this mission!! But what Sora hears if she's in my head is, I'm such a failure for losing the Anderson girl. I can't believe Miss Russo just gave me over to these horrible people! And a few more self-pitiful thoughts.
"Airlia?!" Sonny asks incredulously, her voice rising to ridiculous octaves.
"Yeah," I say again, making my voice sound defeated.
"What are you doing here?" Sora asks angrily.
"Miss Russo...She thinks it's my fault we lost Laura. So she sent me here for punishment..." I trail off.
