Hey Chatterboxers! I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Hey Chatterboxers! I

Hey Chatterboxers! I haven't been on Cricket in a while. Some of you might remember me. So since I just got back I've decided to make a new RP! Ok, so it's like an academy for 'special' kids. For example empaths, or people with super reflexes. Basicaly low key super powers. Ya it's kinda corny, but it's fun! So yeah.

Here's my charrie:

Name- Laura Anderson

Physical Description- average height, long strait black hair, sharp blue eyes, tan

Personality- nice, funny, easily excited

powers: empath (can read other people's emotions), and can sometimes control other people's emotions too

Ok, so, the whole thing is the school is trying to turn these kids with special abilities into living weapons.

Laura-

I stared at the wall of my room with the speakers on full blast. I wasn't exactly sure what song was playing. I usually ignored the lyrics. Suddenly my mom banged on the door. "Laura! Someone's here to see you!" I shut off the speakers and opened the door. "Who?" "Just come and see for yourself." While my mom just walked down the staris I slid down the hand rail and jumped down at the bottom. A tall woman with short cropped hair and sunglasses in a suit waited at the door. "Who are you?" I asked. She seemed to glare right through me with those dark sunglasses, like she was testing me or something. "I am Miss Russo of the Academy for Special Children." I glanced at my mom. "What, am I mental or something?" My mom rolled her eyes and sighed. "Of course not Laura! Miss Russo's just talking about, your, uh, unique abilities." "Oh gosh. You mean?" "Yes." "Great. Ok so what's the plan? Take me to a government facility and do tests on me?" I asked Miss Russo. "No. You're not that special." "Gee, thanks." "Go on Laura, you'll be able to learn how to control it." "Yeah ok, whatever." That's when I packed my bags and headed off to the Academy in a dark limosene with blacked-out windows.

Quinn-

"Well, it just said the code word is lemon drops, and that that would turn her to normal perminately. It didn't say weather (I know that's weather like a storm, but I don't know how to spell it the other way. Can someone help with that?) or not she'd die." Everyone was silent. Lost in their own thoughts.

"I think it's a risk we have to take." I said.

"What? Seriously? No way!" Ausitn shouted. That guy was way to over protective.

"What other options do we have? Sora getting the word alone was just by chance! Miss Russo would never let her in on purpose. Therefore she's not going to give us another chance. Therefore we have no other options!" It was the most complicated sentince I'd ever said.

"Take cover! The worlds ending! Quinn said a big word! Therefore! Twice! Ahhhh!" Sonny shouted. I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up Sonny." I snapped. "But I'm serious. We're all out of options." Sora nodded.

"Quinn's right."

"I am?"

"She is?" Sonny asked bewildered.

"Yeah, she is. We're all out of options. So we know what to do, let's get out of this cell and save Laura!"

@~Sam~: It's whether.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I just don't know where my character fits in now since she hasn't been in any of the posts recently.

Sora-

Who would’ve thought that a word like “lemon drop” would be the code word to saving Laura? I guess Miss Russo had her reasons. She’d taken the easiest word possible and thought we’d never found out, but we had and now we could save Laura. The only problem was Laura dying. Would she shut down like a real machine or would she become her normal self?

“Sora, did Miss Russo’s brain specify?” Kayden asked me.

I shook my head. “No. It was a split second where her guard was down and it was like a list of words to control Laura. There weren’t any definitions.”

Quinn grinded her teeth. “This. Is. So. Annoying.”

“Did you see any other words that we don’t already know? Ones that could be helpful.”

“Lemon Drop… Barbecue… Apple…” I recalled.

“Wow. She must like food.” Sonny commented while filing her nails.

“Yes, and her love for food could help us.”

I just noticed that I wrote "Quinn grinded her teeth." That's embarrassing. I meant "Quinn ground her teeth."

Lol, grinded. Just ignore the post above Elizabeth M.'s.

Quinn-

"Miss Russo has issues," I muttered. Sonny let out a fake laugh.

"You just noticed?" I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up. But you know what?"

"What?" Sora asked.

"I think it's a risk we have to take, saying lemon drops to Laura," I said.

"What? Seriously? No way!" Ausitn shouted. That guy was way too overprotective.

"What other options do we have? Sora getting the word alone was just by chance! Miss Russo would never let her in on purpose. Therefore she's not going to give us another chance. Therefore we have no other options!" It was the most complicated sentence I'd ever said.

"Shut up Sonny," I snapped. "But I'm serious. We're all out of options." Sora nodded.

"Quinn's right," Sora muttered in a small voice.

"I am?"

"She is?" Sonny asked, bewildered.

"Yeah, she is. We're all out of options. So we know what to do, now let's get out of this cell and save Laura!"

Sora-

We were all quiet, each of us looking for a place to get out, but there really was no chance.

“Uh… About getting out, I think it’s pointless.” Cassie said, staring at the wall as if it might move.

Then Austin, who’d been quite quiet, spoke up. “What about Gail?”

I nodded. “But where is she?”

“Right here.” The door swung open and Gail walked in looking beat up.

“That was like… Something in a movie!” Sonny screeched.

Quinn raised her eyebrows. “She opened a door…?”

Sonny sighed,” I know.”

*

A question we hadn’t asked ourselves was, where in the world is Laura?

It was very likely that she was hanging out with the oh-so-nice Miss Russo, but she could also be somewhere else.

“I think we’d better split up.” Kayden decided.

“Twos or threes?” Nyota wondered.

“Two sounds good. I’ll go with Gail. We’ll take the first floor.” She answered.

I paired up with Quinn and we ran to the top floor where all the hearings were and, what do you know, there was Laura. Miss Russo was talking to her.

I motioned Quinn to come closer.

“Laura, we have one rule.” Miss Russo took a deep breath and a step back from her. Was she scared? “You will not kill Austin, okay? He is our key to luring the others into our trap.” What trap?

Laura nodded like a robot.

“Good, dear, now it’s time for operation two-“

Quinn jumped up before I could stop her and ran in. “LEMON DROPS!” She yelled.

The last I saw of Laura was her sinking to the ground in a heap.

I tied Miss Russo up and joined Quinn next to Laura’s body.

“Is- is she alive?”

I felt her pulse. “No.”

“You mean-“

Suddenly the body coughed and Laura sat up. “Woah, where am I?”

Quinn and I exchanged glances. “You don’t remember anything?”

“Who am I?”

“Oh no. Her memory is gone.” I muttered.

“What do you mean my memory is gone!?” Laura looked really, really confused.

“Tell me your name.” I demanded.

“That’s easy! It’s-“ Laura’s face fell. “What is it?”

“You’re Laura Kostikov. (Was that it? Can’t remember.) You go to an academy for special people.” I told her.

“What do you mean special?”

“Like we have powers. I can read minds and Quinn can control temperature.”

“What can I do?”

“You’re an empath.”

“Empath? Who are you? Why am I here? What happened?”

I didn’t answer right away; I was too busy reading her mind. She hadn’t forgotten everything. The word lemon drops, all of our names, her future and the warehouse were swimming around in her head.

I turned to Quinn. “What do we do now?”

YAY! No memory! Awesomesauce. And you got the last name right Elizabeth M., only change, it's Costikov with a C, not a K, but you got the name totally right.

Laura-

"No clue," the girl called Quinn said. I was an empath? What was that? Some lame version of a telepath? Great. Random words swam around in my head. Help! Mind Control. Austin. Scar. Red Tide. Lemon Drops. That was so random, lemon drops? Seriously? A memory, clear as day was burned into my mind. It was my only memory, and not a pleasant one.

The room exploded, light and fire surrounded me. The blast slammed me back into a wall. A support beam broke (Yes, I know support beams are made of wood, ignore that imperfection ;), sending a shard of the pole my way. It found its way painfuly into my stomach. I screamed, but the sound of the explosion stole away every sound I made. Once it was just fire, a girl leaned over me. She was saying words, but I couldn't comprehend them. I might have responded, but I couldn't tell. She panicked. Just then a man knocked her aside. She hit a wall hard. The man grabbed my throat, lifted me from the ground, and attempted to choke the life out of me. I could only do one thing. As the girl lost conciousness I turned to her with sunken, pain-filled eyes and said, "Help." The girl lost consciousness. I allowed myself to cry one last time, believing that the man would surely kill me. Lucky for me, he heard something, and let go, just as everything went dark.

That was my memory, I couldn't remember anything else.

"You haven't answered my questions," I told the girl. The same one from my memory. "Who are you, and why am I here?" I asked with narrowed eyes.

"I'm Sora Hirnlesser, and you're here because this is an academy for people like us, but the Headmistress, Miss. Russo, is evil. She's tried to kill us all more than once." She told me the whole story, begining to end, but I got the feeling she wasn't saying everything. For one, she denied knowing about my memory. Why?

Sonny~

It was one of those moments.  I could see a big event, an hour later.  "Kayden!" I shouted, "Laura's like this because of Miss Russo's power.  She copied Sora's, then manipulated it so she could do all this." I started rising from the ground, in some kind of trance.  Quinn looked the least indifferent I had ever seen.  She actually seemed to be showing... Fear.  I couldn't see anything, except for the vision of Miss Russo's signed confession, to show the government what she had done with their little 'experimental facility'.  I'm going to pretend I know what 'experimental facility' means and say she was in big trouble for all this in the future.

"Shut her powers down!" I screamed. "Now Sora, look into her mind. You'll know what to do. Quinn, turn the temperature down. Cassie, move Laura five feet to her right. I know all the fear in the room is freaking you out, but believe me and MOVE THAT ASSASSIN. Love you, Laura, hon, but honestly, that's what you were for a few years there. Or maybe not a few years. That cell messed up my sense of time." I was getting a headache from the vision now. "Nyota, when I start to fall, fly up to catch me, then hover above Austin. Lipa, stay alert and tell the others whenever you sense anything. Gail, react to whatever Lipa says. Austin, just stand there and look pretty. I'll ummm, what's that word for watching... over... everything..." I quickly became unconscious from all the energy it took to look that far for so long. My last thought before I woke up was 'I hope Nyota catches me.'

We're almost at a good ending.  Can we finish, then let this die?

I think that this roleplay has the potential to go further than that, but if no-one posts it may come to be the ending.

//Nyota

We waited, all of us nervous and confused about what Sonny said. Lipa's wings rustled as she spread them. "What's wrong?" Gail huffed, "You're supposed to be telling us what's going to happen, remember?" Lipa nodded slowly.

"Yes," she whispered "I am." She paused before going on. "Listen closely. All of you should be able to hear it by now." I strained my ears. She was right. The crackling seemed to be coming from a close range. Lipa looked at the floor, and her eyes became wide, but she soon hid it. Her head snapped up. "Nyota," she began "grab-" she didn't get a chance to finish, the noise became so loud that it hungrily absorbed any outside noise. The floor started to bulge. Every instinct inside me screamed 'run!', but somehow I managed to stay put. Grabbing Gail, Sora, and Quinn, I struggled to fly under their weight. The ground was cracking. Lipa took hold of as many people as she could and flew up to join me.

"Sonny!" Quinn screamed, "You forgot her!" Fear welled in my stomach. With a final crack, the floor began to shake and writhe. Sonny was sent flying, her eyes still closed like she was sleeping. I managed to catch her, but the sheer weight of four people was too much for me. My muscles ached and contracted. The door opened, and Ms. Russo stumbled in, her head slumped as she struggled to stand up, hanging on to the doorway for dear life. She looked up at us, menace filling her eyes.

"If I die now, you will all go down with me." She roared, stumbling again as the ground gave another violent heave. Sonny regained conciousness.

"The earthquake!" She screamed, "Is it over yet?" She stopped to survey her surroundings, and sighed. "Oh," she said, "maybe not."

Anyway I don't really understand the last two post's. Could someone explain them to me?

And you're right, this RP seems to be coming to an end.

We're so sorry about your grandpa, NAME. We send our condonlences to you and your family.

Oh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry, NAME.

I haven't been able to post because it's nearing the end of school, and instead of giving us less homework and projects, our teachers are giving us more. In fact, I have a speech that's due on Tuesday that my teacher is grading as a final, so I need to go write that now. And memorize it.

But it would be a help if someone explained the last few posts.
