Chatterbox: Inkwell

Katy sighed and

Katy sighed and picked up a dusty old book with elborate designs, making it stand out in the musky old attic. She sttempted to blow off the dust, but to no avail, and ended up having to wipe it off with her long sleeve. "So much for that trick," she muttered, slowly opening the book, which crackled expectantly.

She screamed and dropped the book, a resounding thud echoing throughout the attic. A mouse had scurried across her bare toes, startling her. The book lay open on the ground to a random page and she stooped down. The letters were carefully written, every word perfectly spaced and red. "Red?" she asked to herself. There was no way that there was red ink back when this book was written. She shuddered and used the dusty end of her sleeve to gently close the suddenly creepy book.

"Tommorow," she whispered, gently lifting up the book and setting it on a rotten rocking chair. She turned the light off and slowly descended the ladder, her thoughts running away from her.

Later in her room Katy grabbed her phone and quickly texted her friends, even though they were probably asleep.

Katy> I found something cool in the attic! Cant wait for u guys to c it! Cya tommorow!

Then, gently setting the phone down on her nightstand, she hopped in bed, pulling up the covers to her chin. "Tommorow." She didn't know what was so exciting about her discovery, but she couldn't wait to find out more about that book.

Okay! I know there are a lot of these...but at least it's not a Rp!!

Right?

Anyway, anyone can join! I will start on the 21st and if you join after that date you will most likely not play a major part. No promises even if you join before then, though. I'll try my best.

But anyway, I'd like you to give me a name I can use for you, it can be your Cber name if you really want, and to describe your personality a little. Also, describe how your Cber would look in either medival OR modern era.I might edit your personality a bit to fit the story. If it bothers you, please consult me!)

I'll try to post about once a day!

Thank yoooouuu!!

(P.S. I will try my best to make the story as entertaining and as grammaticaly correct as possible!)

Katy stared at the old page, then up at the princess again, her eyes widened in disbelief. Joan nudged Katy with her elbow, "What's up?"

Katy glanced at Joan and closed the book. "I need to think. That's all." Joan raised an eyebrow and slolwy looked back toward the jabbering princess. If Katy didn't want to say something, Katy wouldn't say something. The first thing Joan noticed was the small crowd that had gathered. It consisted of Somebody, a girl named Daisy, and another girl that Joan hadn't seen around before. She had golden blonde hair in a short bob and was peering with curious blue eyes at the princess.

"Well....What IS this place anyways?"

"This is Chatterbox."

"Chatterbox? What a strange name!" Exclaimed the girl in the fluffy pink dress.

"Says the princess," scoffed Phil, crossing her arms.

"Whoah..." Keli started, stepping forward. "Lets just..calm down, okay? First things first...we need to get you girls a change of clothes."

The princess, and what Katy assumed to be her maid, exchanged glances. "You've got some explaining to do."

"Us?" Joan yelped, "You are the ones who showed up in Katy's yard!"

Katy groaned and turned to walk inside, the rest of the group reluctantly followed. Suddenly Katy was rather happy her mom was away on a buisness trip and her dad had work.

No problem.

Right?

~~~~~~~~~~
I know this one isn't so exciting, but I got a majority of the characters in. From now on I'll alternate between medieval and modern, for a while at least.
Danie sighed and ran her fingers through her dark hair. With a sigh she turned her cold, green eyes upon her helper and friend, Shadow. "What do you want?" she asked with a sigh. sitting up straight in her chair.
"The princess is gone now. Your plan is a succes," she said, her green-blue eyes dazzling with their success.
"Hmm..." Danie said thoughtfully, standing up slowly. "Well. One princess down. One more to go, but I don't think she'll be a problem." Danie smiled coldly and turned away from Shadow, who followed her like a shadow, little, if any, sound came from the shuffling of her small feet.
Brookeira snarled at the princess and turned, the light reflecting off of her teal armor and dancing gracefully on the walls. "Princess Abigail! I can't take you with me to rescue your sister!"
The sadness of the pretty princess didn't touch her heart at Abigail frowned. "Why not?" she asked pitifully, looking up at Brookiera with puppy-dog eyes.
"It's dangerous! We have already lost your sister! If I fail to return with her, if at all, you will be next in line for the throne! We can't have both of you missing!"
"But-"
"No buts about it! I am you and your sisters guardian, and, as it is my duty to protect both of you, I must do what I can! I'm leaving tommorow at daybreak. Now farewell princess, don't do anything idiodic, and I will leave to prepare for the journey." With a graceful bow Brookiera left before Abigail could say another word. She also left before she could see the mischevious grin forming on Abigail's delicate face.
"Daybreak?" Abigail whispered, "See you there."
The girls were relaxing in Katy's messy living room. Evie had found a blackskirt and a somewhat nice blue shirt while Emily, as they had come to know her, was chilaxin in pink. Save the white sweat pants in which she was relishing their freedom of movement.
"Is that really what the book says?" Joan asked Katy, breaking the awkward silence that hung over them like a heavy mist.
"Yeah!" Katy responded. "See for yourself!" She handed to book to Joan, who was sprawled out across the polka-dotted bean bag, looking completly careless and carefree at the same time.
Joan grabbed it and her eyes scanned the ancient pages. "Yeah...thats what it says alright! Want me to read it again?" After looking up and recieving a few nods Joan began to read the text.
"Im sorry I haven't written in so long. I went on an adventure to a different world! I met some friends there, Katy, Somebody, Emily, Phil, Joan, Keli, Serena, and Hemoine! Of course I can't forget Daisy! I do not belive I will ever see them again, because they were from the future. However, I made a few friends from my own time period. I'm just glad everything is back to normal now."
"Thats us..." Katy stated, the feeling of impending mystery falling upon the group like a heavy weight. Too heavy to lift.
Evie was eyeing the cover of the book and snatched it from Joan's hands. She flipped through the pages, her eyes widened. "This is mine! My handwriting!"
"You wrote with blood?" Daisy asked, horrified, while Serena, who had joined the group as they were coming inside, let out a low whistle.
Evie and Emily exchanged glances and smiled. "No! They are the berries that me and Emily pick on lazy afternoons!"
The girls let out a sigh of relief, when Sombody, who, to be honest, everyone forgot was there, piped up. "So let me get this straight...you two," she pointed with a long, bony finger at Evie and Emily, "are from the past."
"So it seems..." Hermoine said in soft, mysterious tones, increasing the mysterious feeling that was surging through the girls' blood.
Keli shifted on the leather couch and crossed her legs. "What do we do now?"
"Can we eat?" Phil asked, "I'm starving!"
Joan rolled her eyes and stretched, seeming bored. "You're always hungry Phil."
"Am not!" Phil retorted, looking slightly hurt. She did eat quite a bit, but she was also a very healthy and active girl.
Katy stepped in and grinned at Phil, "Trust me, I eat way more then you." She paused and looked around the tense room. "Pizza sound okay?" she asked, already grabbing her phone from her pocket.
"Pizza?" Emily and Evie asked in unison, sitting up a little straighter on the plaid, couch-bed.
"You haven't had pizza?" Sombody asked in disbelief. Then, turning to Katy, eyes fierce and determined, ordered, "We're getting pizza."
Danie sighed and pulled her cloak around her shoulder more, shivering slightly because of the chill. Shadow followed close behind, taking notes for anything Danie suddenly remembered to put on their shopping list. The two girls walked in silence for a little longer, the whistling wind eating at their limbs and stinging their cheeks.
"Oh! Yes, a toad stool," Danie coughed, breaking the cold silence. The only sound Shadow made was the scratching of her pen on paper, but, of course, only she could hear it. "Any visions yet?"
"Nope," Shadow said, glancing to her side at Danie, only to recieve a cold stare in return. She looked back down at her paper and sighed.
"Well, we kind of need it. Should we just go ask Brookiera?" Danie hissed, glancing up at the dirt path, the harsh wind almost blowing her hood off. Danie quickly looked back down at her feet with her cloak billowing behind her. She made an attempt to hold it in front of her for a while, but eventually had to give up.
"Well..." Shadow whispered, the wind blowing her voice away.
"What?!" Danie asked her.
"Oh!...I said...Well, I said 'Well.'"
"Hmm?" Danie asked again, turning and stoping Shadow. "Did you say something?" Shadow sighed and shook her head. "Alright, we need to hurry then!" Danie turned, the wind pulling her hood back as she looked up and a grinning figure.
"Why hello there!" The figure said, then, landing softly on the ground, shook her brown feathered wings and stretched. "Bit windy today isn't it!?"
"Yeah. Now, if you'll kindly exscuse us, please, we have somewhere to be," Danie growled, remaining in eye contact with the stranger. She was tall, elegant, and the wind blew her long, stark-white skirt toward Danie, as if it would grab her and eat her.
"Well, I can see you are headed south," said the girl, grinning, her bright-blue eyes shining with mischeif. "I am also headed that direction, so do you mind if I make your accquaintence?"
Danie sighed and glanced down at the skirt before resuming her death-stare, "Can't you fly?"
"Oh? Well, if its windy down here its even more so up there. So I'll be walking today," she said, already stepping in beside the two travelers, matching their pace.
Danie sighed and glanced at Shadow, who shrugged and looked away toward the grey seas, which were rolling because of the wind. "I suppose I can't stop you," Danie said in disgust, her exspression mistrusting.
The stranger grinned knowingly and bobbed her head, her short-blonde hair flying behind her along with her white skirt, revealing dark leather pants. "Now, you can call me Brig. And I have something you need."
Danie scolded herself. She should have knew that a flying bat-owl something could be up to no good. She too followed Shadow's gaze out over the cliff's steep edge and over the billowing sea.
