Magicians RP!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Magicians RP!

Magicians RP!

~For any of you who were in the Robots Vs. Magicians RP, this will be based off of that futuristic world, except it will mostly focus on magicians. The plot: magicians have always been looked upon as different and dangerous (think X-men), especially since a group called the Shadow Spreaders have been doing their best to wreak havoc on the whole world. Anti-magician orginizations have formed as a result of the dangerous activities of the Shadow Spreaders. They are intent on limiting the powers of magicians and separating them from the lives of "normal" people. This takes place in a futuristinc world with new and brilliant technology and thriving, bustling cities. In this world, magic seems wrong and out of place, and yet magicians still live.

Will you plot to destroy the world of humans so that magicians can live in peace as a Shadow Spreader? Will you work hard for magician rights while secretly protecting your own identity for fear of being shunned? Will you take action against the Shadow Spreaders and rise in a new age of heroes?  Or will you encourage the banning of magician activities as you try to protect your world?

In a nation of conflicts, new threats are rising. The Shadow Spreaders are growing stronger...

Name: Lunar Ecplise/Airi

Age: 20

Appearance: Pale skin, dark, long hair, black eyes.

Personality: Ambitious, full of power, keeps to herself, condescending, keen and sharp-witted. Airi's graceful ways and silk-smooth composure contrast starkly with her cold and controlling ways.

Power: Airi has two powers; control over moonlight and telepathic abilities. After learning how to combine these two, she came up with a new and terrible power. She can only use her power at night.

Stance on Magician Rights: Airi is of the opinion that magicians should be the dominant group of humans on the earth, and will do whatever it takes for that to happen.

Groups Associated With: LEADER OF SHADOW SPREADERS. I called it, peeps.

Weapon: Her abilities.

Backstory: Airi was born in Japan, but during World War III (yo, it's the future), her family sent her and her older siblings to America to stay safe during the war. Gradually, Airi's war torn family began to fall appart. Airi attended college at a renowned school known for its excellent robotics and technology-centered core at an early age (she was 16 1/2). After two years, she fell in love and hoped to get married to Tom Black, but her hopes were dashed after a terrible accident in the computer lab at her college. That awful night, Tom and Airi were watching a lunar eclipse take place in the sky. After the explosion (which I will write more on later), Airi's life would never be the same. She became a magician. Over the next few months, grief and her new powers transformed her into something darker and full of shadows.

Other: Ummm.... NOPE!

Queen Elizabeth will post later. She has to go now (noooooooo). Next time, it shall be a Liberty's Kid's Marathon sleepover (hopefully), so we will have more time.

Hey guys! I really hope it's not too late to join this; I'm just really craving something to write at the moment and this looked really fun!

Name: Reyna Delcio

Age: 19

Appearance: Forest green hair and eyes, pale skin with a tinge of green to it. Green scale armor. Black tendrils across her entire body, starting at her heart and working its way across her chest and neck and spiriling through her hair and speckling across her eyes. Her armor is streaked with black, as are the rest of her clothing.

Personality: Mostly, scared. She has a fear and hatred of humankind that has penatrated deep into her soul and begun to turn it dark and bitter. At her heart, she still has good in her, and it is still fighting. She's inwardly struggling against herself, and right now could probably be pushed either way.

Power (if magician): She has the power of dragons; ie, the ability to breath fire and turn into a dragon, plus super awesome fighting skills.

Stance on magician rights: She is both scared of and hates the human world. She believes that magicians should be dominant.

Group associated with: Shadow Spreader

Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): Her green-bladed sword.

Backstory: Reyna and Kai, her twin, were born far away from civilization. They lived on a farm in the US with miles and miles of green pastures, and were best friends. They loved each other very much, even when they discovered their powers, until one day, WW3 came to their home.The US government had caught wind of their powers, and sent a special task force to take them out. Kai and Reyna escaped, but their parents were killed. Reyna responded by turning her rage and sorrow upon the human world, and Kai always blamed himself for not being able to stop it. Since then, the twins have been pushed apart to different sides, but they still care about each other, and would never want to hurt the other.

Other: Kai is her twin brother. I would like to ship her with someone, find her a caring friend, or let her be pushed deeper into the dark side. She could go either way right now, and she's pretty unsure about her future.

Name: Kai Delcio

Age: 19

Appearance: Thick, wavy, light brown hair, and his twin's emerald green eyes. Tall, with long legs and a runner's physic. He has a handsome, quircky grin, and is always on his toes like he's ready to run at any moment.

Personality: Kind and cheerful, with a love for life and a heart of gold. His parents were killed by the US government and, although it wasn't his fualt, he carries the blame of it with him. This guilt and sorrow sometimes makes him insecure, but it also drives him forwards towards peace with the humans so that something like that never needs to happen again. He constantly worries about his twin sister, Reyna, and oftentimes blames himself for her turning to the Shadow Spreaders. (Although that wasn't his fault either.)

Power (if magician): He has the gift of speed. He can run at almost the speed of sound and could probably create a sonic boom if he tried hard enough. (Although he's never done it, he's gotten pretty close.)

Stance on magician rights: Believes that magicians should be given equality, but that it should be achieved peacefully.

Group associated with: Dawn Granter

Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): His powers.

Backstory: (See Reyna's backstory) (Or I could just copy and paste it over here. Be warned, it's the exact same. You could even say their backstories are twins. XD)

Reyna and Kai, her twin, were born far away from civilization. They lived on a farm in the US with miles and miles of green pastures, and were best friends. Since then, the twins have been pushed apart to different sides, but they still care about each other, and would never want to hurt the other.

Other: Reyna's his twin. Could I ship him with someone around his own age?

Airi~

I hurry to my first day of high school with the events of Seikei's graduation ceremony last night fresh in my mind. That was the only wonderful thing that happened over the month. Everything else was a long list of bad things, and highlighted somewhere in the middle were The Suitcases. Big, ugly, daunting things surrounded by little boxes and bags, they were. The worst thing? They were Seikei's. He was moving. Moving away from the little family we had left to stay with his new American friend halfway across the city. I know he's going to build great things one day. I see his drawings taped all over the two walls he calls his. Sometimes I trace my fingers over their complicated lines and diagrams. Seikei is going to prevent another devestating war from ever happening. He promised me. He's going to protect our new country from breaking like Japan during WWIII.

No more war, Seikei says.

Just peace.

And drawing.

And erasing.

And one day building on to the great structure of our world.

I know that the world needs a problem-solver like Seikei. Looking around the city, I can see so many little and big things I want to fix. Like the fact that working so many grades above my age makes me a target for teasing. Or maybe my brother can't fix that. Maybe no one can. My thin, untamable hair gets caught in the wind. In my satchel, my S-tablet makes a low humming noise. I don't have to check to know that Emiko is checking up on me; making sure that I arrived at the bus stop. Emiko is so protective. Sometimes it is nice to have someone fighting by your side.

Lunar Eclipse~

"Should we follow them?" Lucea questions.

"No," I answer, "we will have another chance to fight them. Their prescense was not planned for tonight," I remind her. Lucea nods, a cold smile forming on her lips.

"And now to business," she says.

"Now to business," I agree, twirling lightly around to face the headquarters of my most hated enemies. I want to see it burn. I want to see them burn. They have caused so much heartache for my people. And this is just the first step, I remind myself, after this, we take on the world. I take on the world.

"There are so many ways I could destroy you," I whisper, "how about I use the same method you used on my people? Loud, damaging, and publicly humiliating."

Rai~

"The Dawn Granters have been defeated. Make your move...now," comes the voice through my ring. I breathe a sigh of relief that I did not have to face Gail in battle. I don't know what I would've chosen otherwise. Looking around the corner of the building, I can see the shadows of Lunar and Lucea standing just beyond the alley where I crouch. Reaching out my hand, I feel the light, almost unnoticeable breeze on the air with my fingertips. I see the shadow of Lucea raise her hands as well. Together, we will provide the destraction while the Shadow Spreaders with more destructive power do their thing from wherever they have been placed by Lunar. As I feel the wind start to gather around me, my mind starts to whirl with unwanted questions. After all the pain the Magician Chasers have caused, isn't it right for Lunar to want to get back at them? It's only natural. Sometimes I wonder why I even play double agent. Gail, of course, I answer myself, but still...who is really right?

Red lights blink on inside the building we're targetting. They must have been alerted by our skirmish. It's now or never, I tell myself. Quickly, I focus on the breeze. It grows bigger and more wild as I prepare to drive it against the building and its occupants while Lucea blasts the windows and doors with solid light. Suddenly, I hear foosteps right behind me. Startled, I curse and whirl around, blasting the person with the raging windstorm.

Hi Rose Bud (or Rai), I just wanted to let you know that I changed my powers, because UNSUSPECTING had already chosen the same powers before me. I can now create illusions and create something like liquid glass. I just wanted to make sure you knew. :)

~Lucea

I tuck back a strand of my hair and look around the scene. How should we penetrate their base? I look around for Lunar, and someone taps my shoulder. I turn and it's Lunar. She seems to have been talking.

"I'm sorry, repeat that," I say, making gestures towards my ears.

She sighs. "Let's go check out that noise I heard. It's behind those dark buildings over there."

I quietly follow behind Lunar to uncover a wild-looking boy fighting with someone else hidden in the shadows.

Aw, sorry about the stomach bug. That's the worst. I wish you all a speedy recovery!

I haven't written in a while, so I'm going to give it my best shot. If I make any rp etiquite mistakes, I apologize sincerly and will change them immediatly. (Also, sorry for any bad spelling; this computer has no spell checker.)

Reyna~

There is a cold black lump of hatred where my heart used to be.

Anger, hatred, revenge. That is all my soul can tell me. That and that only is the place that my mind wanders at night, that my imagination takes up and twists into feverish nightmares.

There are two parts of me, I know, that are buried deep within my lump of hatred. There is sadness at my core. Sadness that it had to be this way, that my parents died, that Kai, my twin brother, the only other person who ever loved me, is literally at the opposite side than me. And then, buried so deep that it hasn't seen the light of day since my parents died, there is a tiny spark of love. Love for my twin brother that has resisited the hatred and anger that has gripped my heart in iron. It's still fighting, but I'm not sure how much longer it can hold on........

Reyna opened her eyes and stared into the blackness that surrounded her. She was sitting, legs crossed, eyes closed, in her assigned dormatory, thinking. But her mind had gone too deep, reaching the weaker parts of her that she refused to acknowledge were there. Hate. There is only room for hate left in me. Not regret. Not pain. Not Kai. Just..... me. She stood abruptly, crossing the room in two long strides, and halted in front of the small, dingy mirror that hung on her wall. She stared at herself, taking in her green hair and face, twined with darkness, and her eyes. Eyes so like her mother's. Eyes that will never open again. Because of the humans. Twirling on her heel, she stalked across the room to the window and smiled.

Hatred. That's all that's left. The humans will pay, and I'm going to be the one to make that happen.

Kai~

All Kai had ever wanted to do in his entire life had been to join the Dawn Granters.

He had wanted to harness his speed for their purposes. He'd wanted to save lives, to make peace, and to help the needy.

He had always imagined that, once his long search for them had ended, he'd be greated with open arms and medals and maybe food.

But, no, apparently not. After nine long months of searching for ANY agents of this well hidden orginization, he was greated by a blast of wind that felt like a backed up tornado.

The wind caught him unawares and, despite his lightning fast reflexes, he was blasted backwards and hurled towards a towering concrete building. Time slowed down, as it often did in stressful situations, and Kai was just able to twist his body into a position with his legs bent and his head facing away from the wall. Thank goodness for that. Hitting a concrete wall at this speed would most definitly not bode well for my bones. Or living in general.

He hit the wall running, using his momentum to carry him down the wall and up the side of the next building. To the rest of the world, this entire episode had taken approxometly 2 seconds. He skidded to a stop in front of the boy who had blasted him into the sky a moment before, making sure to keep his footing as stray gusts of wind blasted out at him. Then, he took in the fact that the wind boy was wearing the Shadow Spreader's single, silver crescant moon on a leather cord around his neck. (Sorry, just making something up on the go, totally feel free to change or take it out if you wish.) Ok, so, wrong side. Rai managed to quirk a grin. "Um, never mind, wrong group of magicians, sorry. I've..... gotta be going." Before anyone can react, he took off in the opposite direction. Now.... how to find the Dawn Bringers........

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, so, I just finished this, but I see that Killim has just posted. If any of my facts are inconsistant with her post, the plot, or just anything in general, I'll definitly edit what happened. I think I get what's going on..... sort of...... well, I tried my best.
Hey, Danie, do you want to ship Gail with Kai? If you're shipping her with someone else, then that's totally fine too, I was just wondering.
Luna says "bayr" Bear? Is that a country accent?
*No, I'm just baying. Like a wolf.*
Oh.
*You're an idiot.*
Ok, fine.
Gail and Kai? Nonononono...
Rai: Yesyesyesyesyes don't ship me with anyone!!
Also, great idea to come up with a Shadow Spreader symbol! I love it!
Rai~
"Looking for the Dawn Granters?" I call after the boy loudly enough for Lunar, a few blocks away, to hear, "they ran off with thair tails between their legs. Might want to check under a rock." * That's the message I'm sending him for the benefit of the Shadow Spreaders anyway. What I'm really doing is creating a breath of wind fast enough to keep up with his speed. They say the wind whispers things to you if you listen hard enough. Actually, that rumor is 100% true.
"I can help you..." I whisper through my power, "I'm not who I seem..."  And that is when a magnified voice calls out, "ALL RIGHT MAGICIANS, YOU'VE HAD YOUR FUN, BUT WE'VE BEEN TWO STEPS AHEAD. STEP AWAY FROM THE BUILDING, NOW.
Inwardly, I curse again. I'll either have to get captured like a Shadow Spreader or have my position as a double agent revealed. Or...I can go through with the plan and disrupt the police force! Concentrating on the cyclone around me, I expand and push outward. No one can possibly oppose us when barraged like that. Suddenly, I feel a painful jolt as I recognize a sense of pride. What do I have to be proud of? I'm working for an evil group of magicians although my loyalties lie elsewhere.
Or do they?
~
Sarah~
"Make your move.... now" says the voice through my ring.  "Got it" I reply, twirling my crescent moon necklace, the symbol of the Shadow Spreaders. I then hear something. A rush of wind... a scuffling... Oh no. Rai... run. Come on, run.. I try to communicate, but that is not within my abilities. Oh well... Then, I remember the ring. I shout my message into it, then take off towards the spot, where Rai is wrestling with a burly policeman. Commander Gordon.. This is worse than I thought. I search the nearby building. Chlorine.... It must have a swimming pool. "Rai, get off him, because I am going to throw this chlorine and believe me, you do not want too much of this hitting you at once if you can help it", I say, and he rolls off, and runs away into darkness. I throw the block of chlorine, then run.
Connie the Captcha says yefe. Ye= you?(Nobody talks like that any more xD) Fe is the chemical symbol for iron.. Yes, I did use iron, but in an earlier post. This Captcha is a lot smarter than she looks!
*cough* ToottaalllynotthinkingofdoingsomeKaiRaiGailLoveTriangleStuffNope *cough* Sorry what was I saying?
Gail~
I cough, my vision feeling blurry. My stomach feels wet and I touch it lightly, onto to realize that I'm bleeding.
Lai calls out a retreat, and I stumble backward. Throwing a cloak of shadow around me, I hide myself and run away.
Is Rai okay? Everything is still so chaotic. But I got to get myself out of here. I run into a back alley and jump a fence, making my run patterns confusing and hard to follow.
I bump into someone, then collide into the ground. I curse under my breath, Staring down the person. He's not wearing a Shadow Spreader symbol, but he could just be going under cover.
I jump up, raising my shadowed hands with what I hope is fierceness. He bounds back with incredible speed.
"Woah! Don't kill me!" He raises his hands up, his shoulders stiff. I try not to relax.
"W-why shouldn't I?" I don't sound as threatening as I thought I would. "Who are you?... Uh, What are you doing here? Who's side are you on?" I don't know why I'm asking this because a smart liar would answer that he's on my side, but usually Shadow Spreaders are blunt and they state automatically that they--Anyways!
"I'm Kai!" He replies with quaint cheerfulness. Kai? Like Rai? And Lai? Its just occured to me that parents really like naming their kids with variations of 'ai'. Even my own name--Lost in thought again Gail!
"I'm not really on any side just yet..." He mutters awkwardly. "B-but I want to join the Dawn Granters!" He blurts out as I get ready to aim a ball of shadow at him. I lower my weapon.
"...And so you figured out we would be here?" I nervously chew on my lip. This sounds really stupid... Why should I trust him? Arrrgg I'm not good with this stuff... "Uh.... How?"
"I had my ways, " He grins. Yeah, real unsuspicious.
"Well... Uh...." Ah, screw it, I can just take him to the application center. "Fine, I might take you to the testing place." I don't even think I have the rank to do this.... Maybe I should get Lai...
"Great!... And where is this 'testing place?" Ah, already too late. I sigh.
"Follow me."
Reminder: posts in italics are flashbacks seperated over a long period of time in Lunar Eclipse's chilhood/young adulthood! I'm actually drawing at least one scene from every single flashback on a beloved and much-erased proffessional sketch-sheet (AKA a torn peice of note-book paper).
Airi~
Whenever I'm feeling depressed I think about the look on Emiko's face when I told her I won a scholarship to college. I let myself relive every blessed moment, starting with when I opened the envelope and pulled out the creamy white paper of the formal letter. I didn't even think something deep and important like: "this is it," I just remember having a single sentence scrolling through my mind as I read: "no one can tease me about this; this is legit." Pathetic and pitiful; I know. My favorite part of the memory is feeling the letter drop from my hands onto the floor as my mouth opens to start my sister's name. I can still feel my lips closing to form the "m" and then bridging through "I" into the clench of "K" before widening into an "O" that I left hanging in the air. Oh, the look on her face when she saw the letter. She knew. I don't remember how she crossed the room to me, but I can recall perfectly the way her arms felt as they wrapped around my waist.
"I'm so proud of you," I heard her whipser.
In moments like these when I'm lying awake with the curtains pulled back on my window and the moonlight spreading across my room (or the room that used to be Seikei's) and the muffled sounds of the city echo through our apartment, I let the memory replay over and over inside my head like a favorite scene from a movie I can't get enough of.
I still usually end up slipping into sleep on sad note, however. Thinking about Emiko and college automatically make me think about Seikei and how much I miss him. He called yesterday. We argued. I left the kitchen with bitter saltwater tears sliding into my mouth.
"What are you crying about now?" Emiko asked when she saw me. I hate how she said that. Like I'm a baby and not almost 16 years old.
"I HATE him!" I cried. I felt pathetic and immature. It sounded stupid even as it escaped my lips. I don't hate Seikei. I hate that he moved away. I hate that he is starting his own life. Secretly, I just hate myself because I know that Seikei has a right to be his own person.
He doesn't have to be attached to the warn-torn Japanese immigrant siblings anymore.
~
I'm sorry guys but I spent too much time watching LMM be weird and do Hamilton-related things so now it's ten and I got to go to bed. Yes, I know this post is half-finished and depressing and strange. I'm still a little miffed my parent's wanted to watch Fixer Upper instead of letting me watch The Flash (not that I had much hope when I asked).
Hey, sorry it took me a while to post something new....... I seem to have contracted some form of the stomach bug and have been lounging around the house miserably all day and it seems I lost the ability to use my brain so....... yeah. (Lol, Rosebud, I certainly hope that germs don't travel across the internet XD)
Reyna~
The ring started buzzing, and Reyna instantly shot up from her bed. "Requesting backup. All available units report to your commanders and head towards the Magician Fighter's HQ." (Sorry, that is what they're called, right? If not, sorry, pretend I said the correct thing XD)
In one fluid motion she stood, grabbing her sword and buckling on her armor. With a catlike grace, she jogged down the hallway, her black-streaked green hair flying behind her. She skidded to a stop outside the command room and slipped in with the rest of the Shadow Spreaders. Her heart pulsed with a wild excitement and fury, combining to send adreneline surging through her veins. Finally. A chance for revenge. The humans will pay......
The captain, a tall, thin-lipped woman quickly briefed them on their mission. Get in, kill some Magician Fighters, maybe a few Dawn Spreaders on the side, and then get out. Quick, brutal, and effective.
Reyna climbed into the transport hover bus with the rest of the Shadow Spreaders. For some reason, something was slightly spoiling her enjoyment of this mission. Is there still some small spark of dececy in me? The other side of her, the darker side, responded with a snarl. I certainly hope not. Being weak didn't help your mother. Reyna grinned savagely, using her facial expression to drive away any softness that might be lingering in her heart. She would not give in to any twinge of conscience that might be left in her. There's not time for that. Besides, I have some humans to kill.
Kai~
Kai followed the girl through several twisting and turning alleys. She kept shooting him suspicious glances, and Kai plastered the most innocent look that he could onto his face. Honestly, some people had no trust whatsoever.
As they walked, Kai played the words that the wind had whispered to him over and over in his head.  I can help you..... I'm not who I seem. Kai was almost certain that the voice had come from the boy with the windblown hair. There had been something wild and untamed about him that had scared Kai a bit, but maybe he wasn't really all he seemed.......
Kai paused for an instant, then asked the girl "What's your name?" she responded while still walking. "Gail." Kai tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around. He looked her in the eyes and said "Who was that Shadow Spreader? The one with the wind? I think......" he hesitated, a bit scared by the look in her eyes "I think he spoke to me. Somehow. Well, it was like the wind was talking and that doesn't usually happen so I just thought....." Kai trailed off, realizing he was rambling. Gail pinned him down with an intense stare and whispered "Whatever you do, never, ever, mention that again. People could get hurt or....... worse. Killed." Kai noticed that her hands were trembling, and he reached out an instinctive arm to steady her. She flinched slightly and he drew away. "Sorry, I just...... I won't say a word. I promise." Gail gave him a short nod, turned, and continued walking.
As they continued along the dark allies, Kai tried to sort his thoughts out. He wasn't usually this..... jumpy, talkitive. Something about this girl intruiged him. Like, why shouldn't he mention the wind boy? What would happen if he did? Why so many secrets?
Gail abruptly halted and Kai, lost in thought, barely avoided bumping into her. She waved some sort of bracelet, a leather cord with a tiny golden sun on it, in front of a wall. Instantly, its dingy bricks slid back, revealing a sleek white elevator. After glancing around, Gail stepped inside and gestured for Kai to follow.
Kai watched, mouth hanging open, as the elevator began to slide downwards. Layers and layers of rooms slid by him, filled with the most technology he had ever seen, slid past them, until a cool female voice finally announced "Floor 7b, Testing, Registration, and New Rucruits." The doors swished open, and Gail pushed a flabbergasted Kai out of the elevator into the lobby.
Living on a farm had not exactly prepared him for this.
Mwahahahahaha! *evil laughter* LOVE TRIANGLES!!!!! *cough* I mean, um, nothing! Nothing at all!
