Magicians RP!

Magicians RP!

~For any of you who were in the Robots Vs. Magicians RP, this will be based off of that futuristic world, except it will mostly focus on magicians. The plot: magicians have always been looked upon as different and dangerous (think X-men), especially since a group called the Shadow Spreaders have been doing their best to wreak havoc on the whole world. Anti-magician orginizations have formed as a result of the dangerous activities of the Shadow Spreaders. They are intent on limiting the powers of magicians and separating them from the lives of "normal" people. This takes place in a futuristinc world with new and brilliant technology and thriving, bustling cities. In this world, magic seems wrong and out of place, and yet magicians still live.

Will you plot to destroy the world of humans so that magicians can live in peace as a Shadow Spreader? Will you work hard for magician rights while secretly protecting your own identity for fear of being shunned? Will you take action against the Shadow Spreaders and rise in a new age of heroes?  Or will you encourage the banning of magician activities as you try to protect your world?

In a nation of conflicts, new threats are rising. The Shadow Spreaders are growing stronger...

Rose bud's charrie:

Name: Lunar Ecplise/Airi

Age: 20

Appearance: Pale skin, dark, long hair, black eyes.

Personality: Ambitious, full of power, keeps to herself, condescending, keen and sharp-witted. Airi's graceful ways and silk-smooth composure contrast starkly with her cold and controlling ways.

Power: Airi has two powers; control over moonlight and telepathic abilities. After learning how to combine these two, she came up with a new and terrible power. She can only use her power at night.

Stance on Magician Rights: Airi is of the opinion that magicians should be the dominant group of humans on the earth, and will do whatever it takes for that to happen.

Groups Associated With: LEADER OF SHADOW SPREADERS. I called it, peeps.

Weapon: Her abilities.

Backstory: Airi was born in Japan, but during World War III (yo, it's the future), her family sent her and her older siblings to America to stay safe during the war. Gradually, Airi's war torn family began to fall appart. Airi attended college at a renowned school known for its excellent robotics and technology-centered core at an early age (she was 16 1/2). After two years, she fell in love and hoped to get married to Tom Black, but her hopes were dashed after a terrible accident in the computer lab at her college. That awful night, Tom and Airi were watching a lunar eclipse take place in the sky. After the explosion (which I will write more on later), Airi's life would never be the same. She became a magician. Over the next few months, grief and her new powers transformed her into something darker and full of shadows.

Other: Ummm.... NOPE!

Queen Elizabeth will post later. She has to go now (noooooooo). Next time, it shall be a Liberty's Kid's Marathon sleepover (hopefully), so we will have more time.

Okay fine. Y'all leave me no choice...

Rai~

"It's 7 AM, Rai, get out of bed!" Kicking off the thin blue coverlit, I wonder why I didn't change into something more compfortable last night. Then I feel the cold metal of my the Shadow Spreader symbol on my neck. We attacked the police last night. I attacked the police.

"Get out of bed, Rai, get out of bed," repeats the sunny but metalic voice of my S-clock.

"Shut up," I groan, slamming the clock face with my fist to get rid of the alarm. A flash of light spreads across the screen as the "7:01 AM" is replaced by a chart on the flashing screen.

"Your Pillow-Reader indicates that your health has been declining to due lack of sleep. Do you want me to contact—"

"No!" I say quickly, tapping the screen again, "and turn of the PR! I don't want you recording my sleep anymore."

"Whatever you say, Rai," answers the clock as it clicks off. I slide out the twisted sheets and over the edge of the mattress. I really have to wriggle myself out of the next late attack. Maybe Gail can be the spy for once. She'd be pretty darn good at it. Searching my room for clean clothes, I force myself through the rest of my morning routine. Just as I am running a comb backwards through my hair to stick it straight up, I hear sounds of life from downstairs.

"MOM! I heated the generator last time. Make Rai do it. He gets out of everything!" Yells Keynara, my younger sister, from the kitchen. I drop the comb and roll my eyes as Mom calls me downstairs. Plodding recluctantly down the hallway, I toss a bit of hair that somehow escaped the comb out of my face and feel once more the cold metal of my Shadow Spreader necklace. Oh no. I forgot to take it off!

"Hurry up Rai!" Keynara's high voice zips up to the ceiling and pierces my ears. I don't have time to go back to my room and hide the necklace with my Identity Shadow, so I yank it over my head and shove it into my pocket.

"Oh Rai, you aren't going out like that are you?" Mom moans. She asks this every morning.

"Nope, not brushing it flat," I state defiantly, running my hand through my hair once more to make  my point.

"Power up the gen," orders Keynara as she tosses her long braid proudly over her shoulder. It's going to be a long day...

~

I leap of the hovertrain platform and race towards the tall building known as Schnen's Academy. The light over the doors (known as the Warner) flashes red as I sprint up the steps, knowing that I am late.

"Rai Tal. You are tardy," announces the stern robotic voice floating from the Warner.

"Yeah," I mutter, "I know." Just as I am about to push through the big metal doors, I hear running foosteps behind me. Turning to look at the person out of the corner of my eye, I see another student.

"Hello, you're Rai, right?" They question aimiably."

~

That can be anyone. You decide!

Lucea~

He looks questioningly back at me. "Yes...? Wait, do I know you?"

I smirk and let a little light escape from my hand.

He gasps and backs towards the door.

"Relax," I smirk. "It's school. I don't want to raise suspicions. Besides, I have to get to class too, and you're a fellow Shadow Spreader."

He sighs. "Not so loud...Lucea, was it?"

I nod. "That's my name."

He looks at me one more time before we go to the class.

Wait, no one knows that Rai is really Zephyr since he keeps the two identities separate. How did Lucea figure out his real identity? Maybe she is trained to sense the poorly controlled waves of power radiating off him or something? That would be interesting.

I'll write soon!

Here's an avatar of Lunar after her powers changed her. I tried to put one of Rai, but I'm not sure whether it will show up.

I feel SO bad for not posting but I've been really busy with school and life and whatnot. Here's my post! I apologize if it conflicts with someone else's post.

Vesper~

I whip around and see a girl with green hair and green eyes. She's very pale, with black tendrils spreading across her bosy, and on top of that, she looks angry.

"I-I want to join the Shadow Spreaders." I stutter.

"That doesn't answer my question. Who are you?"

"M-my name is Vesper. I want to join your group. Who are you?"

"My name is Reyna. How do I know you're not one of the magician fighters?"

I take a deep breath, regain my composure, and conjure a fireball in my hand.

"Now do you think I'd be a magician fighter?"

"I see. BUt we don't need more people here. Our group is big enough." Reyna starts to walk away. I grab her arm in a rush. She glares at me.

"Please. The way that magicians are being treated is wrong. We're no different than they are, and we shouldn't be treated differently just because we're not the same as them. I can't stand by and watch my people be persecuted like this. Please let me join you." Reyna seems to loosen up a bit.

"I suppose we could find something for you to do."

I take a deep breath. "thank you."

Airi~

For two years, Tom Black has just been another kid in my classes who I never really talk to. Then one day, he just smiles at me out of the blue. I never noticed his smile before. It's encouraging and warm with a hint of mischeiviousness around his nose and his eyes. Why haven't I noticed that after two years? Has he ever smiled at me before?

Lunar Eclipse~

I still see his smile in my dreams. One of the first signs of friendship anyone ever really showed me. I thought my past life was gone, but I still get flashes when the sub-conscious of my mind has free-reign.

The image is slipping away. I can feel the plush mattress beneath me and am aware of the light flooding through my window.

No, no.

I want to smell the honeysuckle again.

And look at the moon.

And see him smile.

My eyes fly open. For a second I am 18 years old again. Young and shy. Still figuring out life, still getting a grip.

Then I remember that I have figured out my life.

I am Lunar Eclipse, the penetrating light, the swirling curtain of shadow, the beautiful blend of white light and darkness.

Staring at the mirror on the other wall, I leap out of bed so quickly that the room blurs before me and sways dizzily for a few seconds.

Catching sight of my reflection, I am surprised by my own expression. Eyebrows lifted, mouth slightly open, eyes helpless. Putting my hands to my face and dashing to the bureau for my silk robes and shadow cloak, I try to draw from that strength within; the pulsing knot of hatred and grief that made me who I am. I am Lunar Eclipse. I promise myself. I've never had any doubts before.

~

In my office on the lower floors studying all known information about the magician uprisers sometimes called "Dawn Granters" who are currently oppose us, I am drawn from my thoughts by the low swoosh of the elevator. Looking up sharply, I see the unmistakeable profile of Reyna fall in a shadow across the floor.

"You should not be here," I state, coldly savoring the words as I see the slightest flicker of fear across Reyna's face.

"My apologies, Lunar," she says slowly, as if drawing out the formalities as long as possible, "but I have important news. First, we have a new possible recruit, and second...The Magician Chasers are preparing to confront us. Although they aren't using the word 'war,' I'm afraid that is the best definition. The Government is supporting them. The whole nation has turned against us overnight. We cannot last under this oppression."

"We won't need to," I answer immediately. This is sooner than I planned...but..." I trail off vaguely. Reyna tries not to show suspense. Deciding not to toy with her any longer, I motion to the chair beside mine.

"Come, Reyna, we have lots to discuss. Today the world will fear the name of Lunar Eclipse, if all goes well..."

~

Rai~

"How did you know?" The words tumble from my lips. Lucea smiles in a twisted, cold way that reminds me of her master.

"I can sense the energy around you. It is one of my...gifts," she explains.

"My life is on the line," I growl, "if you tell ANYONE—" Lucea rolls her eyes.

"I am also trained in the art of guarding a secret," she answers. With that, we both enter the empty school halls. Noise from surrounding classrooms echoes through the building.

"Not a soul," I whisper through my wind as I head to class. The curled up ball of my Shadow Spreader necklace in my pocket feels unbearably heavy.

Lucea~

Ha. Not a word. It's too late. By now, Lunar probably knows. Word travels fastser among us than wildfire if you aren't silent.

I walk through these halls, when I bump into a familiar face.

"Lun-"

"Sh!" she interupts. "Rai can't know I'm here."

"Wh- Ohhhh."

She nods and we walk back to the class together.

"Any suspicious activity?" she asks.

"No, actually, I just caught him. He told me not to tell anyone, all that. Is he ready to be a Shadow Spreader?"

"I don't know," she sighs. "What'd you do?"

"Just confronted him, let a little light escape, and gave him a promise that I'll either keep or let go. How are things with you?"

"Good," she replies. "In fact, I just met up with an old friend."
