Magicians RP!

Magicians RP!

~For any of you who were in the Robots Vs. Magicians RP, this will be based off of that futuristic world, except it will mostly focus on magicians. The plot: magicians have always been looked upon as different and dangerous (think X-men), especially since a group called the Shadow Spreaders have been doing their best to wreak havoc on the whole world. Anti-magician orginizations have formed as a result of the dangerous activities of the Shadow Spreaders. They are intent on limiting the powers of magicians and separating them from the lives of "normal" people. This takes place in a futuristinc world with new and brilliant technology and thriving, bustling cities. In this world, magic seems wrong and out of place, and yet magicians still live.

Will you plot to destroy the world of humans so that magicians can live in peace as a Shadow Spreader? Will you work hard for magician rights while secretly protecting your own identity for fear of being shunned? Will you take action against the Shadow Spreaders and rise in a new age of heroes?  Or will you encourage the banning of magician activities as you try to protect your world?

In a nation of conflicts, new threats are rising. The Shadow Spreaders are growing stronger...

Name: Lunar Ecplise/Airi

Age: 20

Appearance: Pale skin, dark, long hair, black eyes.

Personality: Ambitious, full of power, keeps to herself, condescending, keen and sharp-witted. Airi's graceful ways and silk-smooth composure contrast starkly with her cold and controlling ways.

Power: Airi has two powers; control over moonlight and telepathic abilities. After learning how to combine these two, she came up with a new and terrible power. She can only use her power at night.

Stance on Magician Rights: Airi is of the opinion that magicians should be the dominant group of humans on the earth, and will do whatever it takes for that to happen.

Groups Associated With: LEADER OF SHADOW SPREADERS. I called it, peeps.

Weapon: Her abilities.

Backstory: Airi was born in Japan, but during World War III (yo, it's the future), her family sent her and her older siblings to America to stay safe during the war. Gradually, Airi's war torn family began to fall appart. Airi attended college at a renowned school known for its excellent robotics and technology-centered core at an early age (she was 16 1/2). After two years, she fell in love and hoped to get married to Tom Black, but her hopes were dashed after a terrible accident in the computer lab at her college. That awful night, Tom and Airi were watching a lunar eclipse take place in the sky. After the explosion (which I will write more on later), Airi's life would never be the same. She became a magician. Over the next few months, grief and her new powers transformed her into something darker and full of shadows.

Other: Ummm.... NOPE!

Queen Elizabeth will post later. She has to go now (noooooooo). Next time, it shall be a Liberty's Kid's Marathon sleepover (hopefully), so we will have more time.

~Lai

Gail brought in a new recruit. And of course, Dawnmaster Soul is more than happy to have me test him. He finds it enjoyable when he can witness my embaressment. Urgh! That man! But of course, orders are orders. So, I don my cloak(It makes me feel more hidden and secure since it hides my face) and summon all my courage until I'm fairly certain I won't stutter. I walk into the room. Really? REALLY MASTER SOUL?!  I feel like shouting in anxiety. He's at least 19, 7 years older than me! Sitting down, I use my most superior tone, allowing not one hint of my face to be seen. "Kai Delcio, I've been told."

"Yes..." He seems unsure on how to adress me.

"You may adress me as Sunrise." I say shortly. My light bulbs! This is nerve wrecking!

"Yes, Sunrise." He says quickly.

"You realize this is ususpected."

"I do, but I promise-"

"May I warn you, Mr. Delcio, that promises here are taken seriouly. If you tend to fail in your promises, mistrust is inevitable." I can feel the sweet trickling off my face.

"You may, thank you."

"As I was saying, this is unexpected. We have files on many Shadow Spreaders, and that includes thier powers. Some of us have expierinced these powers full force. Things such as mind control, element blasting, wind whispers, and much more." He remains silent. I groanon the inside, how in solar power am I supposed to pull this off? "Of course, I'm not trying to intimidte you Mr. Delcio, I am only stating facts. If you suspect any of this mischief going around, then you are required to report it to us."

NOTE: When Lai is nervous, she tends to glow slightly.

AND here is the post attached to that other post. Remember, no one knows Zephyr's real name, K? But I think Sarah and Rai would be great evil teammates :)

Lunar~

An ambush within an ambush preceeded by an ambush. These "Dawn Granters" are losing their touch and becoming repetative. Thankfully, I never loose my flair.

As Magician Chasers pour out from the office and courtyard to join their comrades stationed around the buildings out here, Shadow Spreaders come out of all corners, prepared for a more serious battle than the previous one. I feel sudden blasts of wind whipping around the sides of the surrounding buildings. Somewhere in the night, Zephyr is manipulating the air masses.

"Hands up, Lunar," orders the woman with the megaphone as she advances on Lucea and I. An idea leaps into my head.

"You heard her, Lucea, hands up," I say slowly, toying with my words and enjoying the moment. Lucea nods in understanding, a glint in her eye. As she slowly raises her hands, the woman and two guards with her suddenly understand what is happening, a few seconds too late. I have just enough time to cover my eyes and draw the shadows to myself as a concusive blast of light bursts from Lucea's hands. I can feel the blinding force even though my world is protected in darkness. The loud cries of Magician Chasers and even those of a few Shadow Spreaders rise from the city as the light attacks them with painful force. I hope the Shadow Spreaders had a chance to cover their eyes, we can't lose another one to blindness, I reflect as I pull myself out of my protection to observe the damage. Now for a little light-telepathy...

~

Is Lunar to OP? Combining her powers gives her more limits and she can only use her power at night, but still...what do you think?

Rai~

Sarah comes up behind me, breathing hard. I give her a small smile. Although I almost compliment her teamwork, I remember that Shadow Spreaders don't do that. I guess I'm just so used to training with the Dawn Granters. If that's so, I wonder, then why do I feel like I fit in better here?

"Ambush," she squeezes out between deep breaths.

"Must've...heard our fighting earlier," I suggest, trying to keep the nervousness out of my voice.

"Maybe..." Sarah leaves her theory open, as if she is skeptical. Marvelous, just what I need.

"C'mon, let's go," I say, quickly changing the subject as I gesture towards the street beyond the safety of the alley. I wouldn't admit it to anyone, especially not Gail, but I'm itching for a good fight. One that I can give my all to. Sarah nods and draws herself up as I sprint back towards the combat. Stopping so Sarah can catch up, I peer around the corner of the Magician Chaser's office to see if Lunar Eclipse and Lucea are unharmed. I see three Magician Chasers standing in the street in front of where I last saw the two powerful Shadow Spreaders. One has a blaring megaphone which broadcasts her commanding voice across the city. Seeing Lunar's shadow on the wall, I squint around the Magician Chasers and listen for her voice.

"Hear that?" She is saying, "Hands...up." Uh-oh, I've heard that tone before, but what could she be? Suddenly, I realize.

"SHUT YOUR EYES!" I warn, turning to Sarah and reaching for the protective blanket of an air mass; knowing I only have a split second before...

BOOM! I shut my eyes just as the blast throws us backwards.

ARRRRRRGGGGGG NOOOOOO I MADE HALF OF A (pretty long) POST AND NOW IT IS GOOOOOOOONNNNNEEE!!!!!! *sighs* that should teach me not to copy something and then shut down my chromebook, I suppose. But still....... all that progress from last night..... Ah, well. A chance to make it better this time, I suppose.

Reyna~

Reyna just had time to grab onto a lamp post and shield her eyes before the light wave hit.

After a couple of recruits had been blinded, the danger of Lucea's blasts of light had been drilled into everyone's head, as well as Lunar's signal through the communicator rings that basically meant "Cover your eyes and grab onto something if you don't want your eyeballs fried.". Which is exactly what all of the Shadow Spreaders present proceeded to do.

When the light wave passed, the Shadow Spreaders were up and running in an instant. They used their powers to bombard the magician fighter's hq with a deadly barrage of powers. Reyna morphed into a dragon and flew around the side of the building, searching for the gas tanks. There. She let loose a jet of flame that ruptered the tanks. Instantly, the building was engulfed in flames. Reyna turned, moving away from the burning wreckage. She may be a dragon, but she wasn't flameproof.

An order to retreat came through the speaker in her ring. Lunar had broadcasted the ominous message "Our work is done here. Head back to base.". Reyna gladly obliged.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the hovertrains pulled into base, Reyna stepped out, only to be grabbed by the shoulder by an official-looking gaurd and given the brief but clear order "Lunar wants you.". As they walked, Reyna ran all the possible ramifications of this statement through her head. I'm being demoted. I'm being premoted. I've done something wrong and I'm going to die.
For Shadow Spreaders, either of these options were equally legitimate.
When Reyna was shoved into the office, the gaurd left, and the metal doors closed behind her with an ominous snick. Reyna tensed, nerves coursing through her and making her heart beat seem loud and out of place. The room was well furnished and luxurious, as befit the leader of the shadow spreaders. Magical objects were placed around the room, and it took a moment for Reyna to locate Lunar, who was sitting in a plush armchair, staring at her quizically. Lunar stood, and Reyna instantly stood to attention and saluted. Lunar laughed. "Reyna, is it not? Well, Reyna, it has come to my attention that you showed a remarkable gift for destruction tonight. I thought such an enthusiasm for destroying things belonging to a non-magician deserved a reward, such as a promotion.".
Reyna's first thought was Thank the gods, I'm not going to die.
Her second thought: Did she just say promotion?
Vesper~
At first, it looks like no one is in this building, until I look around the other side. I am somewhat far away but behind it, i can still see two groups of people facing each other. One of them screams, "SHUT YOUR EYES!" I'm confused for a second until I decide to take his advice, and boy, am I glad I did.
It was like when there's something so bright that you shut your eyes, but you can still see some of the brightness even when your eyes are closed. That's how I knew it was some sort of blinding light.
The light wave throws me forwards, and I land on my stomach, skidding on the sidewalk. My hands and arms suffer a few scratches, but i think I'll live. I creep around the side of the building again, curious to see what happens next in this fight. One group starts pelting the building with their powers, and I move away from the building, not wanting to be hit with anything. I'm guessing these are the shadow spreaders, since the magician fighters don't have powers and the dawn granters wouldn't resort to violence. Suddenly, one of them turns into a dragon and circumnavigates the building. She spots something, stops and throws flames on the object. It explodes, setting the whole building on fire. Not even a minute or two after that, the shadow spreaders move out, hopping on the hovertrain. I quickly move in with them, unnoticed. I must find out where their base is.
The hovertrains stop, and they all climb out, me included. One girl is grabbed by a guard and told something that I can't hear. I dismiss it and walk inside the building with everyone else. From the outside, it looks like a normal office building, but from the inside, it looks like a high tech secret agent HQ, with computers everywhere and all sorts of weapons hanging on the walls. Lost in thought, I don't hear the person approaching behidn me until my hands are grabbed and held behind me back.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Lucea's not deaf anymore.
~Lucea
I feel almost psychotic as the energy bursts from my hands. I stare, my eyes glazed over, at the light that impulses from my hands. I can't help but laugh when the idiots are bursted back.
I slowly diminish the light and Lunar stands up, encasing herself from her protective shadow.
"Now what should we do with these people?" I ask.
But suddenly, a couple of gunshots go off, and tranquilizers hit the both of us. Shadows then overtake me.
Oops! Sorry Killim! I totally forgot she was deaf in the first part.
Autumn, I'm glad you brought up the Shadow Spreader base. I'm thinking we should use the classic old building on the outside/secret base on the inside type of idea. Y'all are welcome to throw out ideas about the base. It should include a weaponry, temporary living quarters for some Shadow Spreaders who move in and out of town, and some other techie and magical stuff.
I love watching Airi develop from a cowardly, lonesome girl living with her older siblings into the cold and condescending Lunar Eclipse. It's so much fun!!! Wait, that sounded evil.
Airi~
Some say 16 is too young for the birds to leave the nest. I heartily agree, even though I don't have much of a nest to leave.
Emiko went with me to the hovertrain station. I was so terrified that I died a thousand deaths while stepping onto the platform. School was never challenging enough. Like Seikei in our first few months in America, I longed to be truly challenged for once. The scholarship was easy. Saying goodbye was not.
Even weeks later, I still remember the panic clawing at my heart as I watched Emiko's face blend in with the crowd as the train sped away at lightning speed (A/N: I'm being literal. It's the future).
On the eternally long train ride, I had plenty of time to reflect on my journey. All I saw was a pathetic but smart girl fail to leave any type of mark on the world. "That will change now," I thought, "I'm going to college."
"College," I whisper aloud as I force myself out of the memory. I still wonder what it would have been like if I stayed and took classes in our city like Seikei instead of traveling North.
Life is fine here.
I don't cry at night anymore, wishing for a purpose in life. I don't even miss our apartment as much as I thought I would. However, I miss Emiko so painfully much. I miss her coming home from work to great me after school. I miss her absent-mindedly playing with my hair at twilight while we Diminsional-chatted with Seikei or Mother and Father or other friends in Japan. I even miss arguing with her after school.
One amazing thing is that I don't get teased anymore. So I'm 16. Sure, fine, whatever. No one cares as much. Maybe I'll finally make a difference.
With a smile painted across my face, I tiptoe to the window and pull open the curtains to watch the moon. Sometimes I think the moon shines just for me, as if it were Airi's moon. No matter where I go, it follows me like a close companion. The white light spreading across the cold window pane is unchangeable and constant.
Different city, same moon.
Lunar Eclipse~
The moon shines brilliantly as I step of the hovertrain. The tired and diminishing suburbs of Kutac city (A/N: do city names change through history? I suppose they do, although I can garuntee there are still a few Washington's and Columbia's out there. Y'know New York City? They renamed it after him; the Kutac legacy is secure :) extend into the night like reaching fingers. A cool breeze flirts with the edges of paper trash scattered around the deserted station. The world of shadows knows to respect this place as my territory. Even the stars seem to hold their breath as I walk purposefully through the vacant streets. As I walk up to a tall, seemingly unnocupied, ancient-looking building, I can't help but stare up at the moon. Throughout childhood, the moon was my contant companion. Now it is a tool for the greater good of the world. Lowering my gaze from the skies, I finger my Shadow Spreader necklace. A minute scanner hidden in the doorframe picks up on the small gesture and recognizes the necklace. In the quiet night, I can hear the click of the lock from the other side of the door. Like a shadow, I open it and slip inside. Immediately, the total extend of my little "refurbishment" is obvious. Even in our underworld of secret magic, the floors are polished and the light is hazy and dreamy.
"Good evening, Lunar," says the voice of a gaurd as I walk across the floor, slippered heels tapping against the marble. Routinely, I ignore him and continue to the elevator. The silver doors glide open with the slightest of "dings," and within seconds of entering the accelerated capsule, I step out onto the lowest floor. My eyes are met by the purple-blue glow of several rare magical objects decorating my office. On my way to my favorite armchair, I pick up a few diagrams and notes off my desk. After our skirmishes tonight, I need to edit and update my latest plans. Hearing the low woosh of the elevator (A/N it goes like supersonic speed peeps), I turn to see one of my team examining the room pensively with her forest-green eyes. Standing, I search my mental records for her name. Ah, Reyna, Reyna, Reyna. I have special plans for you...
I'll post Rai's POV later. Hey, if names with "AI" at the end like Lai and Rai and Kai start becoming really popular, I'll know that our future is descending :)
No die-y, no die-y die-y RP! I have to catch up to our current place with Rai. He's behind.
Rai~
Sarah slams into the concrete a second before I do and we both tumble backwards until the two of us come to rest, breathing heavily, on the pavement.
"Ow," Sarah whispers, speaking for both of us.
"Back on your feet," I hiss, "here comes Lunar." Scrambling to my feet, I ignore the eruption of pain that spreads over my scraped hands and bruised limbs. I swear I feel Lunar's eyes aimed at the back of my head before I even hear her cold voice say,
"Thank you for having the sense not to get killed. The two of you can go back to whatever corner of the earth you crawled here from. We won this one..." she added to herself. A light breeze sweeps her dark hair across her contrastingly pale face. The moon lights her up from behind, making her seem all the more powerful. Doing my best to stair Lunar in the eye, I nod and turn away quickly. Preparing to sprint home, I have a sudden idea for an excellent exit. Summoning all the wind I can handle at the moment, I blast it at the windows of the police station, trying to act casual as the pieces of glass fall to the ground below. With a smirk aimed at Sarah, I dash away, the remnents of my windstorm whipping at my hair and clothes.
That felt good. The thought pushes at my mind dangerously.
It is so surprisingly easy to play double agent.
Too easy.
~
After enduring jolts of pain from every step on the compact, damp pavement, I finally give up and let the surrounding air mass pull me into the sky like evaporating water. Usually, I would be happy to submit into the hands of the winds, but tonight I'm worried it will take too much out of me. Everyone has limits, including magicians. Moist air hits me in the face as I zoom through a low-lying cloud. I don't care who sees me. People will just see Zephyr, but no one knows I'm really Rai. Finally, I leave the lights of the city behind me. I want to stop on a cloud and sleep clear through the weekend, but I force myself to keep going. The houses below become more sparse while trees and bushes pop up more frequently.
After an eternity, I see the familiar houses of my silent neighboorhood. C'mon, just one more house over, I promise myself as my neighbor's yard comes into veiw. I check my watch. The time reads long past midnight. I can think of at least two people who will want to murder me if I fall asleep in class again. Touching down on the bit of metal roof extending below my windowsill, I slip through the open window and collapse onto my unmade bed, only bothering to take off my Identity Shadow (no, it isn't eye shadow, it's something Lunar came up with when I got tired of the  Light Deformer) before I pull the coverlit right over my jeans and sweatshirt.
Yay! Magicians in high school (and middle for everyone else)! This will be fun! Let's make tomorrow a school day just for kicks. Oh, and some magicians know other magicians SIs, but some people (like Zephyr) keep their SIs secret. So Rai would know Lucea was a Shadow Spreader, but Lucea would have no idea that Zephyr is a SS, much less a double agent! And I'm sorry about the earllier post, Killim, maybe we can incorporate it later?  I was just going by the plot Autumn had set b/c she posted first. L
