Once, long ago, the world was awake. 
We lived in harmony with magic, and it in turn lived inside of us. We flourished together in a partnership that was so interwoven that it became difficult to tell the person apart from the flame that was part of their being. 
That time, however, is long gone. 
We have abused the power that was freely given us, and now we live in a cold world, reigned by men in iron towers who hold our world in their iron grip. Magic is nothing but a memory, a story whispered when we think nobody’s listening. 
But what if I told you that we can bring it back? 
Hello everyone! I’m Autumn Leaves, a former cber who hasn’t been on in forever because life got very…… lifey! (And by that I mean busy) Anyways, my mom actually gave me the month off of English to do creative writing which seemed like a dream come true until I suddenly couldn’t seem to write anymore. So I decided that I’d use my English time to start an RP! 
All that aside, here’s the premise. 
Our characters are living in a world called Aeros that used to be teeming with magic. It was deeply engrained in the culture, the people, and the society. However, it wasn’t long until people came along who wanted to misuse it. They found ways to manipulate it to do their bidding but didn’t realize what the consequences would be until it was too late. On a day that would later be known as the vanishing, magic completely disappeared. 
Now, the world is a place of steel and iron and technology beyond anything that those early people could have dreamed of. But it is cold. People are told exactly how to act, how to think, how to live. Nobody says outright that you have to follow the rulebook, but those who don’t tend to mysteriously disappear. There also may or may not be hidden cameras. Depending on who you ask. 
Your characters have begun to hear whispers that there have been sightings of magic for the first time in centuries. They have heard that there have even been a few who have been able to channel tiny bits of magic.
Who knows? Perhaps one of your characters will be among the lucky few who show a proficiency for magic.
Ok, so I haven’t done an RP in like forever, so I'm going to do my very best to do this right. I haven’t done a lot of world building yet, but basically, Aeros is this super oppressed, super futuristic society, and you can feel free to worldbuild as you go :)

*I always had trouble with this because it’s hard to fit a character in a few sentences when you haven’t even met him/her yet. So you can be as vague or as detailed as you want.
**Job, basically. You can choose something that's necessary for the survival of a civilization, (Engineer, scientist, ect) Or have fun with it and make something up. 
Ok, hope that wasn’t too much information for ya! (I tend to do that :P) Have fun!

Gender: F

Age: 11

Personality: Cheerful, bright, likes to sing, optimistic, energetic, not particularly brave though, afraid of heights and blood

Appearance: Boring brown shoulder-length hair, bright blue eyes, huge smile that makes others want to smile, usually wears bright, casual clothes

Position: Doesn't have a job, she's still a kid! She usually acts as a runner for other workers

Other: Her parents are kind of distant, but they yell at her a lot for not staying still in school

Gender: Male 

Age: 25

Personality: Quiet, doesn’t seem to caring at first, but he really is. He is extremely loyal. Is really skilled at doing things with his hands. Isn’t school smart, but is crafty with his hands. He ain’t much of a conversationalist, but likes to be around people, even if it’s not when their talking.

Appearance: Jet Black shaggy hair, he is very dirty and has a bit of stubble, deep green eyes. Has a very strong, and built. 

Position: He’s a miner.

So like, we're in White London, just not as violent and bloodthirsty? And without the Danes, of course? :P 

Actually, that gave me an idea.

Gender: Female
Age: 19
A little personality*: Cold as the most bitter winter. She is an ice sculpture. A seemingly perfect, delicate, heartless work of art. She revels in her convoluted, violent sense of justice. 
Appearance: Long, curled waves of dark brown hair contrasting sharply with her snow-flake pale skin. She is tall, but not intimidatingly so. 
Position**: Is evil ruler of the world taken? Okay! I'm kidding! I suppose she's working up to that though. 
Other: What can I say? I miss my so-called "heartless" villians. Calcspar. Ivory. and Lunar Exclipse? *Gasp* do you guys remember her? I wish that RP could have gone on forever! She was so fun to write from!

Name: Fox Rayings
Gender: Male 
Age: Somewhere between fourteen and fifteen--he doesn't remember exactly. Birthdays are hard to keep track of and he has more important things to worry about. 
A little personality*: Kind, likes making friends, but is a bit shy and awkward, as he hasn't been around many people. He's too trusting and doesn't like assuming bad about people, thus he would be easy to trick. He likes nature and hates being cooped up. In fact, he's quite claustrophobic. He likes clocks and is pretty good at figuring out the way things work. He hates the way everyone in Aeros is forced to conform to rules. 
Appearance: Dark red-brown hair, the color of a fox's fur (his namesake), eyes the color of molten caramel, lots of freckles, has a lopsided grin that makes you want to smile. Built strong, but not exceptionally muscular. Often dirty. Usually wears a white shirt with trousers. 
Position**: Assistant to the clocksmith, who makes high-tech clocks and fixes old clocks (and old for them are the newest digital clocks that we have) and other antiques. When he gets old enough he plans to go off into the wild, away from the city. He believes there is something else out there. 
Other: His father disappeared when he was very young, and after his mother fell ill and died, the eccentric clocksmith took him in. He has been living and working for him ever since. Both his parents believed in magic and knew it was still alive somewhere. They told this often to their son, and he plans to find it someday.

@Tux: Sure! 

@Rose bud: lol it totally is, just with more tech. And Solstice can start wherever in the chain of command that you want her to! Just keep in mind that Aeros is split up into several vast territories and not just under one ruler. (Although the leaders to work together to keep the people repressed, so they’re not really that against each other.)

Hey all! So sorry I haven't posted yet; finals have kind of caught me off guard, plus I had a dress rehearsal yesterday and a concert today.... needless to say life has been kind of hectic lately. On the bright side, my college class is over on Friday with finals, and I should be less busy so I can help get this thing started.

Name: Alexandra Oliver

Gender: F

Age: 17

Personality: The kind of person that would want to do something until they're told to do it, then will blatantly disobey. Mischevious and sarcastic, but shows it more in random quips rather than constant streams of jokes and pranks. stubborn, and very bright, though she doesn't always show it. She is very observant and has a good memory. Always fidgety and restless; has to be doing something almost all the time.

Appearance: long, wavy light brown hair  that's usually kept in a messy bun or ponytail. Sea green eyes that always seem to notice everything. Slender, athletic build. Tan complexion, with a few freckles across her cheecks. Seems to always be wearing some color of high top converse with a hunter green jacket over her tshirt. Doesn't usually wear much makeup, if any, except for special occasions.

Position: is part of Orion. 

Other: open to shipping if any male charries join (or I might end up making one myself. who knows?)

That would be fine, but my only hesitation is the age difference between the two charries. I don't want it to be weird or awkward. I can change Alexandra's age if you wish, or you can change Fire Darkness's age, whichever you want.
