Reawakened RP

Reawakened RP
Once, long ago, the world was awake.
We lived in harmony with magic, and it in turn lived inside of us. We flourished together in a partnership that was so interwoven that it became difficult to tell the person apart from the flame that was part of their being.
That time, however, is long gone.
We have abused the power that was freely given us, and now we live in a cold world, reigned by men in iron towers who hold our world in their iron grip. Magic is nothing but a memory, a story whispered when we think nobody’s listening.
But what if I told you that we can bring it back?
Hello everyone! I’m Autumn Leaves, a former cber who hasn’t been on in forever because life got very…… lifey! (And by that I mean busy) Anyways, my mom actually gave me the month off of English to do creative writing which seemed like a dream come true until I suddenly couldn’t seem to write anymore. So I decided that I’d use my English time to start an RP!
All that aside, here’s the premise.
Our characters are living in a world called Aeros that used to be teeming with magic. It was deeply engrained in the culture, the people, and the society. However, it wasn’t long until people came along who wanted to misuse it. They found ways to manipulate it to do their bidding but didn’t realize what the consequences would be until it was too late. On a day that would later be known as the vanishing, magic completely disappeared.
Now, the world is a place of steel and iron and technology beyond anything that those early people could have dreamed of. But it is cold. People are told exactly how to act, how to think, how to live. Nobody says outright that you have to follow the rulebook, but those who don’t tend to mysteriously disappear. There also may or may not be hidden cameras. Depending on who you ask.
Your characters have begun to hear whispers that there have been sightings of magic for the first time in centuries. They have heard that there have even been a few who have been able to channel tiny bits of magic.
Who knows? Perhaps one of your characters will be among the lucky few who show a proficiency for magic.
Ok, so I haven’t done an RP in like forever, so I'm going to do my very best to do this right. I haven’t done a lot of world building yet, but basically, Aeros is this super oppressed, super futuristic society, and you can feel free to worldbuild as you go :)
Here’s the charrie sheet
Name:
Gender:
Age:
A little personality*:
Appearance:
Position**:
Other:
*I always had trouble with this because it’s hard to fit a character in a few sentences when you haven’t even met him/her yet. So you can be as vague or as detailed as you want.
**Job, basically. You can choose something that's necessary for the survival of a civilization, (Engineer, scientist, ect) Or have fun with it and make something up.
Ok, hope that wasn’t too much information for ya! (I tend to do that :P) Have fun!
(Luna says nbwi. I am not a newbie Luna! I've been here for over two years. Crazy wolf.)

So Im going to change Sirus's sheet a lil.
Name: Sirus Copper
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Personality: Quiet, but likes to have a bit of fun every once in a while, fierce. He is extreamly loyal, stands up for whats right, sort of a quiet rouge type, is a hard worker, very crafty with his hands, very strong. He often gets lost in thought, not day dreaming though. Mostly memories.
Appearance: Jet Black shaggy hair, he is very dirty and has a bit of stubble, deep green eyes. Has a very strong, and built. Mostly just wears a grey shirt. Not much color in the mines. Has a large scar a cross his back.
Position: Miner.
Backstory( can I add this in?): Sirus was once part of a group of five kids that \ on every Thursday, would go to an old mans house to learn about magic and how to wield it. The old man, whos name was Howler, would teach them the importance of magic, tell them stories of old, and help them keep their magic abilities safe from the government. And from Sunburst. This went on for years until one December night, everything was shattered. Somehow the government found out about these meetings, so once all of the kids had entered Howlers house, the fight began. Sirus had hardly anytime to react to what happened. The kids and 'Ol Howler, were taken to the prisons. Shortly after, because of the living conditions, Howler died. After a year or so, one of Sirus's friends, Peregrine was his name, tried to escape, but was caught and and almost killed if it wasn't for Sirus's shadow magic and luck was on their side.
Other: So I was thinking. The mines are kind of a prison type thing. Like, most of the outsiders, magic wielders?, and rouges who were captured work in the mines or have other jobs, like Silvers. Oh and "shadow magic" is not like literal shadow magic. Its a mix dark magic and mind control... sorta... Yah, Im not excactly sure what it is yet XD
Also, I was going to post but I have to go and do some school so... hopefully later.... And Im really sorry if non e of this lines up... Im a lil confused.

Here I am. About to do some creative writing for the first time in many months. I'm pretty rusty, but hopefully my writing muscles haven't atrophied.

Ha, I just saw Aspen's comment about naming the characters after concrete things. I really like that idea, so I'm going to change Alexandra's name to Ember to fit with the theme.

Ember~

"No, Oliver, I said no!"

"But don't you see?" I protest. "This is the perfect oppurtunity to overthrow Sunburst! If we can find the magic, we can end them once and for all and magic can be used freely!"

"I said no." Wren finishes. "Now we have work to do." Wren walks over to the control monitor for this Orion base. One red dot is flashing on the screen. "Look," Wren says. "A Sunburst agent is on the move."

"Where is he going?" I ask.

"It looks like he's headed towards a neighborhood..." Wren punches a few buttons on the screen the size of a picnic blanket and says into the speaker, "Agents Chrome and Zeta, intercept Sunburst agent on the move. Coordinates will be sent to your vehicle. Go!" Two agents, evidently Zeta and Chrome, dash past us, each carrying a gray woolen cloak with a broach- the symbol of Orion.

"Are you able to tell where the Sunburst agent is yet?"

"Not yet." Wren clarifies. "But we can track him the whole way. Due to the technology in the Sunburst guns, they're fairly easy to follow. Their weapons are all but portable computers." She says all this whie typing numbers and punching buttons, likely sending coordinates to the agents.

After a few minutes, the blinking red light stops. The blue dots representing the Orion agents aren't far behind. Along with other many diverse talents, our agents are skilled drivers.

"Where are they?"

"The Sunburst agent stopped at a house..." Wren mutters. She zooms in on the screen, blowing up the picture. She reads off the address. "The Williams family lives there..."

"Williams? Their daughter, Leaf, goes to my school." I mention.

"Hmm. There must have been some use of magic at her house." Wren turns on the com system. "Agents, take out Sunburst agent. Do not kill him. Bring him back to base for questioning. Leaf Williams is there. Bring her back to base to see Storm. Do not harm her under any circumstances. Over."

"Leaf? Using magic? That's insane. SHe's just a normal girl."

"Magical people have to hide their ability to channel magic, making them seem like normal people. That's how they stay alive. Are your magical abilities common knowledge, Oliver?"

"I suppose not..." I mutter. I should have learned long ago never to argue with Wren. She will always win.

Not long after, Agents Chrome and Zeta walk through the doors of our base, Leaf in tow. She doesn't look scared or excited, merely intrigued.

"Hello, Leaf," Wren says politely. "I'm sorry for all this, but if the Sunburst agents have detected magical activity at your home, then it is imerpative that you talk to Storm, our leader. You could be a valuable asset to our team."

I wave sheepishly to Leaf. SHe doesn't say anything, but her eyes widen. "Okay..." She grumbles.

After she's gone, I ask Wren why she needs to see Storm.

"Because, she's just like you. If she has the ability to channel magic, then she's important. We have to find those people before Sunburst gets to them. The key to keeping magic alive is being friendly with those who have magical abilities. Just like you, Oliver. Now get to work."

Sorry I haven't replied yet, Leeli, I've been really busy today. So, um, yeah, I pretty much liked all of your ideas. I don't know if Aspen simply hasn't been here since yesterday, or if she didn't see your comments, but I am awaiting her opinion. (On the stuff about the shipping and love triangle and etc. and etc.) (Hint, hint: That's you, ASPEN.) ;)

I'm just wondering how May would know to go into the forest when Fox runs there. Perhaps they set up a system of meeting there once a week, or twice a month, or something of the likes. My first idea, though, was that, what with all the advanced technology and such, there must be some means of communication (hint, hint: the thing that you carry around in your back pocket every day). Or, even better than technology, maybe their magic connects them in such a way that Fox can sort of send "brain signals" to May and tell her that she should come to the forest. Also, I was thinking that if you wanted Fox to run after Leaf, that would be okay, too. May could maybe sense something strange happen, and go to the forest, and see Fox chasing after Leaf. Or something. So yeah.

:)

Okay, all that sounds good! For the signals I had thought about maybe Fox waves some big yellow leaves as a signal? Or I also like the mind signals idea. Maybe it's like when Fox focuses hard enough on one thing, May can feel it in the back of her mind that he's doing it, and he only does it when he wants to meet in the forest? Or they could use some sort of phone like technology. Or all of those things at once! What do you think?

OHMYGOSH I WAS HALF EXPECTING THIS TO BE DEAD OR SOMETHING THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING IT ALIVE!!!!!!!

Lol, I am SO SORRY I haven't been on since like Thursday. Basically, I had exams week, and then we got like ten inches of snow, (To say how incredible that is in the southern state I live in, we have never gotten that much snow in all of the nine years I've lived here) and then it knocked our power AND our wifi out, so we had to go stay with our grandparents for a while and we've had our house on the market and somebody accepted our offer and so NOW we're getting ready to MOVE.......

It's been kinda hectic.

But now I can finally post on the roleplay that I'm in theory supposed to be running XD I really can't thank you guys enough for keeping it alive! Y'all are the best!

Ok, I am now going to catch up with everything that's been going on in Aeros. May the force be with you! (AND MAY YOU SEE STAR WARS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE I AM SO EXCITED FOR IT I MIGHT EXPLODE)

Ok, I've caught up the best I can! This last semester has just totally worn out my writing brain, and I've really been struggling with creative writing lately, so sorry if whatever I write in this rp isn't the best. (I think that the key to getting rid of writer's block is to slam your head against it until it shatters. Sad but true XD)

Wren~

Sometimes, there's nothing I want more to do than yell at my commander, throw down my headset, and go barricade myself in a room with some tech and some tools.

Unfortunately for me, that's not the way commander Leyura sees fit that I should spend my time.

I respect the woman. I really do. Her name is foreign and flows off the tongue, so unlike the utilitarian words that we use to describe ourselves. She is tall, her skin tanned and weathered, her eyes a brilliant sea-green, her hair a shock of white that cuts off at a sharp angle above her chin. She is a creature of the elements, a force carved from the eddies and flow of a world that I will never be able to experience.

The world outside.

The world of the outsiders.

The instant I see Leaf, however, all thoughts of frustration at having to man the computers fly out of my head. What replaces it is an all too familiar pain.

I grimace. The pain throbs. It stabs behind my eyes, bringing waves of nausea along with it. I feel as though my brain is being shut down. I feel incapacitated. Helpless. I clench my fists, digging my nails into the soft skin of my palms. I try to breathe, to register the pain as a sensation, to block it out somehow.....

Leyura must see my pain. She walks across the room to me and gently rests a hand on my shoulder. Her voice is quiet, reassuring. "Remember everything we've gone over." I clench my fists tighter. "I'm trying." I close my eyes for an instant. I force my mind to let go. I take a breath.

When my eyes open again, I am in a completely different world.

The room that surrounds me has faded, somehow. The colors that made up everything around me have faded, leaving the world muted. Dull.

Dull, that is, except for the magic.

At first, I see it only in glimpses. A flash of blue, a whisper of lilac, a gleam of silver. I force myself to concentrate, to pour all of my being into the emptiness around me. It collects itself agonizingly slowly.

The magic that lies inside people is different than you'd expect. It lies at the center of everybody, and yet only a few are able to awaken it. For those who cannot it appears grey. Colorless. For those who can wake it up, no two auras are the same. It surrounds you, glows in a brilliance that is unequaled by anything I have ever seen. Leaf's radiance is soft, faint, unexplored. It shines in a brilliant green that matches her eyes.

The world around me suddenly goes dark.

The pain behind my eyes returns, amplifying a hundredfold, and I think if I knew where my body was I would scream. My thoughts are blurred, rushed. Nothing makes sense except the dark. And the eyes. There is a pair of eyes. They're deep green. I don't understand anything anymore.

Then there is simply nothing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok sorry that got a little weird at the end there..... I suddenly just got hit by this wave of exhaustion XD. Lemme explain that before I like fall asleep on my keyboard lol. So basically, Wren has the ability to see the magic that's around her, but she basically just discovered this. Leyura has helped her take control of it as best she can, but Wren still gets hit by piercing headaches whenever she's near magic that she hasn't seen before. Then at the end she has some a brief vision, (Maybe of Sirus in the mines or something?) and blacks out.
Anyways, sorry if that was pretty short. I actually just was having a migraine myself, and needed to write this to get my brain to think about something else. (Me and Wren get the same headaches XD)
Luna says "xxdp". Ooh, xp. Sweet. When do I get to level up?
*when you start being more awesome*
Why so mean?
*You forgot to give me bacon.*
Oh. Sorry.
Lol, thanks so much Leeli! (Your writing's fantastic, by the way) And actually, staring at a computer on my own, forcing myself to write stuff resulted in some really crummy writing, but doing it with you guys again is so much easier for some reason. I don't know why. And the migraines..... they thankfully go away after a night of sleep. I'm honestly just grateful I don't have some sort of chronic condition. I do feel a lot better, though, thanks :)
Luna says "geea". Yeah, gee, I know. I do tend to ramble. Sorry.
*You really should be. Not everyone wants to read you spewing your brain onto a computer*
WELL EXCUSE ME.
Sorry for what promises to be a short post!
Silver~
The cold took the longest to get used to. The first few weeks, I could hardly sleep, eat, or do practically anything. My fingers were stiff and numb, and I constantly felt sick and miserable. It seems impossible to get used to something so extreme, and yet I have. Staring out through the single, barred, square window high up on the bare, concrete wall as the moonlight fades into sunlight, I stop thinking about cold. I think about warm, endless spring. Maybe, somewhere, my mother and sister have found just that...
The startling shrill of a whistle jerks me to life, and I realize I had fallen asleep. Sitting up, I run my hands through my hair, flicking it up and back and up from my forehead. I'm a prisoner in a foreign land and still all I care about is my hair. My sister would laugh.
Solstice~
I stare through the glass wall, showing me nearly all of Aero's from behind it's thick, wavy curves. The world is opening it's mouth wide to swallow me. It's only a matter of time.
A sudden knock on the door shatters the strange, terrifying stillness.
"What is it, Abasi?"
"They found another girl. She has...a lot of magic." My heart quickens, threatening to burst out and throw itself down...down...down.
"Well? What are you waiting for. Bring her to me," I command. He hesitates.
"I'm not going to harm her. I give you my solemn word as my a Ramiah. As my father's daughter." Abasi nods and backs away.
The answer is out there...and it just might be here.
Ok so I know I haven’t written at all yet, and I’m really sorry about that. Life has gotten really... life-y. Busy, that is. So I apologize if this post is Wayyy to short and not really written well. Like at all. Oh yeah, and this is the first time I’m writing in first person so... be prepared for awefullness...
 Sirus~
I saw a pair of amber peircing amber eyes. They seemed to see me. I stared at them until they finally disappeared, almost, swallowed up by the ever-present blackness. Then I was utterly alone, the darkness filling my soul... then I felt a hand at my shoulder.
I woke up suddenly and breathed in sharply, the freezing air filling my lungs. Peregrine was shaking my shoulder.
”You ok?” He asked.
I looked at him for a moment. When I saw him, sense of dread flooding me. I shook my head, trying to shake it off.
“Um... yeah. I’m fine. Just a bad dream.”
Peregrine looked at me skeptically, but shrugged his shoulders.
“Ok, whatever you say. Well, get up. It’s time to get to work.”
I slowly got out of my bottom bunk.
Whatever is coming my way... it’s not going to be good.
PS
I can do some anime avatars for yalls charities, if you ask. It’s not as taxing as writing! ;)
So, Sirius works in the mines, right? Well, what if the mines are in the same mountain pass that is basically the place where all the outcasts and prisoners and magic usesrs are sent. So, I haven't posted this yet, but Silver is trying to escape, so maybe their paths could cross and they can escape together and maybe join up with Orion?
