Sorry!

Sam-

“You’re such a thickhead, Tray. Because of you, she’s gone. You could’ve waited! You didn’t need to set her off now.”

“She would’ve left sooner or later.”

“I’m going to Chiron.” I stomped off out of the forest. Maybe we could stop Jen in time but even I had to admit that the chances of that were slim. Hadn’t Chiron said something about a lotus leaf? Maybe we could heal her. Maybe-

“Sam, I’m sorry.”

“I’m not mad, Tray, I’m just confused.”

Tray looked perplexed. If I had done the same thing, she would’ve been so angry she would’ve tried to kill me. “You’re not upset.”

“I’m thinking.”

“You could be the daughter of Athena.”

“Could. But I’m not and I’d rather not be.”

“I wouldn’t say that out loud.”

“I really don’t care.”

Tray groaned. “You are mad.”

“Nope.”

“Yes, you are.”

“Argh! Can a person not even think in peace now a days?”

*

Chiron tugged at his beard, his brow furrowed in deep thought.

“So…?”

“Shh, Tray. Can’t you see he’s thinking?” Tray crossed her arms and leaned back in her seat.

A few more minutes passed, then Chiron lay his gaze on us. “This is bad.”

No,” Tray commented sarcastically.

“You must leave today. In an hour. You were right, Tray. I should’ve seen this before. The poison has still not left her.”

“And the prophecy hasn’t been fulfilled,” I added.

“Correct.” Chiron rolled his wheelchair over to a little shelf, then came back holding a pouch in his hands.

“This is lotus leaf powder. Slip a spoon full of it into a drink or into food then it will heal. But I would use two spoons. The poison that was used is strong.”

He handed the pouch to me.

“We’ll meet in an hour on the hill.”

Tray-

Pft! Thickhead my butt! I ran to my cabin and started to stuff everything into my back pack. I was angry at Jen and i didn't really want her back. She was probably just going to betray us again. No matter how much I respected Sam she was wrong this time. We must have saved Jen like a million times! Why did we have to do it AGAIN? When I was finished packing I jogged back down to the Big House. Chairon and Sam were waiting. "So what do we do now?" I asked. "We go find Jenifer," Sam said simply. I already hated this plan. "Do we have to? I'm kinda tired of getting fried and having to kick her butt." Sam rolled her eyes. "Shut up thickhead and come on!" "Wait." Chiron seamed to be lost in thought. "You need another person on the quest. "Wait what? We can handle ourselves," Sam said, the annoyance resurfacing. For once I had to agree. "Chiron, Sam's right. We're fine on our own." He looked directly at me. "Tray, think about the last two times you came back from a quest, and then tell me your going to be fine." Ouch. I'd really out-done myself with stupidity those last two times. "Yeah, well--I mean, urgh! Fine! We need help! Happy?" Chiron looked amused. It was Sam's turn to be thinking. She was probably figuring out who we should take.

//Jenifer//

I lazily picked a leaf of the tree that I was sitting on and let it flicker down into the air, then zapped it with my finger. A horrifiied shriek came from the tree, and I kicked it. "I'm not in the mood for your wining," I muttered, but I knew she could hear me. The leaves rustled impatiently, as if they were speaking. Want to talk about it? "No thanks," I muttered glumly. Loud footsteps came from the camp and I agily climbed higher up in the tree, into the thicker leaf coverage. "Tray, walk quieter, you'll wake up every monster in the forest!" "Hey, don't push me!" "I didn't even touch you!" "Humph. Are you sure this is where she went? All I see is hellhound dung." "Yes, I'm positive, now just shut up so we can find her faster." "I wasn't even talking, you're the one who's talking." "Just be quiet, thickhead." "Don't call me thickhead!" I rolled my eyes and, desperately trying to strop the bickering, channeled a bit of the winds to help me jump down. I landed in front of them, cooly crossed my arms and leaned backwards, and raised my eyebrows. "What do you want?" Tray rolled her eyes and mutterd something about "Zeus kids" and "dramatic little thickheads" and Sam looked shocked to see me there. "Well?" I said, much more impatient that I really was, but hey, I had to make it look like I was super mad at them. "Thought you were going to destroy the world, huh? Run back to big brother Nick, eh?" I punched Tray in the gut. "Honestly, by now I think you would've realized when I'm actually talking and when I'm not." "She's got a point there," Sam offered. "Shut it," Tray said under her breath. She added louder, "Look. Chiron says that we have to finish the quest, it's not over or something, I can hardly ever understand that old horse--" "Real surprise there." "Anyways," her eyes flared coal black, "we need another person, and, sadly, you, to come with us. Now get to your cabin to pack, we leave at sunrise." The two started walking off when I stopped them. "Wait. How can I know you won't accuse me for every time, Uranus," Something stirred in my chest, probably him just responding to his name, "takes over?" "Oh, I will, trust me on that one. I just won't accuse you openly." I rolled my eyes. "You should take it, it's better than usual," Sam whispered to me. I thought about the plan for a bit. "Fine. I'll go with you. Depending on who you choose." At this both Tray and I looked to Sam, and she stepped back a bit, rocking on her two feet. "Well...I was thinking on taking Katherine, from the Hermes cabin. She's undecided and she just got here, but I've seen her with a weapon, she's really good." "What?!" Tray and I both said at the same time, and we glanced at each other awkwardly. "We're bringing an undecided?! What?!" I walked up and shook Sam's shoulders. "What are you thinking? And a newbie?! Honestly, why not take, like, an Ares, or a Demeter, even an Aphrodite is better than an undecided newbie!"

We dont' have to take Katherine, I just thought it'd be nice to get Blueberry into the RP.

Sam-

“Yeah,” Tray agreed for once with Jen. “It’s way too
dangerous. She doesn’t know anything about this quest, she’s new (and
unpredictable).”

“Who said you weren’t?” I crossed my arms and stared her down.

“She’s got a point,” Jen grinned slightly.

“If you’re all against me, I don’t have to come.” Tray’s coal-black eyes angrily became slits.

“Tray, we need you but…” If
something happened to Jen, we’d need a third
, I finished the sentence in my
thoughts, gazing intently at Tray.

“Okay, fine. I don’t care but if this Katherine turns out to
be…”

“We know,” I assured her.

*

“Let me do the explaining,” I muttered to Jen and Tray.

The Hermes cabin was messy and overfilled. Sleeping bags had
been spread out on the floor for the undetermined campers. Only the “real”
Hermes campers got beds.

Today, most of the campers were out of the cabin but a few
were still inside. This included Katherine.

Katherine was small for twelve years old with long brown hair
and a sort of shy look , yet looks shouldn’t fool you, she was strong.

“Katherine?” I asked tentatively.

She put down whatever she’d been doing and looked up at me.
“Sam!”

“Why aren’t you outside?” I wondered.

“Didn’t feel like it,” she avoided my gaze.

“Is something wrong?”

“No, nothing at all.” She stood up and attempted to smile.

“Well,” I began, not totally convinced. “Last year, before you
were here, we had a prophecy and after that a quest. It turns out, the prophecy
hasn’t fulfilled itself so we have to go out and finish the quest. The last
line is Defeat the beast and come back
with a friend
. That basically means-“

“Sam, you can tell her about Uranus later.” Jen whispered
annoyed.

“Okay, we want you to join us,” I ended.

“Me?” She exclaimed. “Really?”

“Yeah…”

“What should I bring?”

“A bag of stuff that you need and your weapon, possibly some
Ambrosia and Nectar if you have it.”

Katherine was practically jumping up and down. “We’ll meet on
Halfblood Hill in fifteen minutes.” Then the three of us left to pack our
stuff.

Tray-

There are plenty of things I think are stupid. But the one thing above everything else that I think is stupid is letting a 12 year old undecided in the middle of a quest where half of us have died and half of us are barley alive and one of us is evil (yes I still think Jen's evil). My eyes were black slits as I marched off to my cabin. I stuffed my bags with clothes, weapons, and nectar and ambrosia. I kept my lucky knife in my belt in case the bags got blown up or burned. Burned. It reminded me of the first time I'd died. I was fighting Hyperion  and while bleeding to death I'd used all my energy to defeat him saving that traitor Jack. That stupid girl had cost me my life. Suddenly a sharp pain ran through my skull. I fell to my knees and clutched my head in pain. Then she was there. Jack. "S-stop it. Please," I moaned. It made me angry to see her. But it made me angrier to sound so stupid in front of her. "But Thanantos, I cannot. Not until you understand. I did not mean for you to die. I simply wanted to escape. "Yeah, right." The pain got worse and I screamed. "Do not deny it. I am being truthful. You have no right to be angry." And yet I still was. The pain was killing me. Then it hit me she was trying to kill me again! Despite the horrible pain I felt I got up, grabbed my knife, and slashed her. She didn't move. She merely shimmered. "Nice try Thanantos." She looked at the door then back at me. "They do not know I am here. You must not let them know. Or they may all die." With a final pulse of killer pain she was gone. I lay on the floor shivering. I stood up slowly still clutching my head. The pain had stopped but I was dizzy and the words that kept spinning around in my head didn't help. They do not know I am here. Nice try Thanantos. I did not mean for you to die. Forming any kind of thought was difficult. I needed something to focus on. I thought of my dad. Hades. With my thoughts focused on him it all came back. I was going to be ok. But for how long? I sat on my bed and cried. I didn't usualy cry. I hated crying. It made me look weak. I formed my hand into a fist, digging my nails into my skin until I felt a rush of warm liquid on them. The pain gave me something to focus on and I stopped crying. I washed off my hands and my face in the bathroom. Once I'd decided I didn't look like I'd been crying anymore I grabbed my backpack and headed to half-blood hill. I managed to put on an annoyed face after seeing Kathrine at the hill too. Eveyone was already there. "We've been waiting FOREVER thickhead what kept you?" Jenifer asked. I glared at her with coal black eyes. "None of your business, now let's go." I continued on to the strawberry truck we used to transport campers and climbed into the shotgun seat without another word. My mind was on Jack and her little visit. I had to dig my nails into the back of my hand until I felt blood to keep from crying again.

Is Jack who you helped escape from sort of poison and then she turned on us and sort of disappeared? Does she work for Kronos?

OK, Jack is the girl who was kidnapped by Hiporborean and kept going to Sam and Tray asking them to help her. So they went to save her and Tray ended up dying in the process. And thus the curse of Hesita was born. (It's still fake.)
