Sometimes I feel like we get so caught up in the developement and rules of a RP that it dies before we even make it very far (I know that's happened to me...Combat Cliff RPG, Griffinfeather RPG the first...and more).
So, let's just do some writing.
two rules.
1. Put forth your absolute best. Even if it's not going to be published or maybe no one else but me will read it. It's good for your writing. Trust me.
2. Make sure everything lines up! Mostly!! Inserting random flying unicorns is okay, but killing a character off and then making them reappear might be a little confusing.

just make up a character and join the story. You can be a character I've mentioned or somebody new. My characters are Pheonix and Carlena.
Without further ado, let us begin.

"Carlena scratched at the wall's smooth surface, her heart pounding so loud she could hardly think. The dark rectangle seemed to close in around her, pressing in on all sides; squeezing her lungs flat and yanking away all the oxygen. The air was hot and sizzling with frusteration and fear. Throwing herself against the wall, Carlena melted onto the floor. She was stuck. Enclosed in a horrible crystal box while her own dear sister, Caroll, was set on destroying Jewel Academy. All she could do was sit here, helpless and terrified out of her wits, while Caroll did away with everything she worked towards. Carlena tried to take a calming breath and found she could not breath. The walls were closing in...her eyes whirled crazily around the shadows; searching for an exit. If Cassey doesn't get the children out of the academy in time, they'll all... Carlena let out a frusterated gasp of despiration. Oh come on, Carlena! You can't let a little claustrophobia defeat you, girl! She said to herself. The spunky Galaxy Witch sat up slowly and brushed back the gigantic bush of chalk-white, ankle length hair from her damp forehead. Carlena then—"
"Pheonix! Jaihra's on the phone!" My older sister called from downstairs.
"COMING!" I yelled back, dropping The Charming Adventures of Carlena the Galaxy Witch to the floor. Galexia looks up at me in surprise from her nest of pillows on the floor, her eyes clouded, obviously still deep inside the story.
"But...that's not fair! Nixie!" My little sister moans, "What happens to Carlena? What happens to the seven sisters and the academy?"
"You're just going to have to find out next time!" I say with a wink. Galexia shakes her head furiously, sending her fluffy brown pigtails into a frenzy,
"It's not fair that I don't get to see what happens next because you wanna go talk to your giiiiirlfriend," she says angrily. On the last word, an evil smile begins to curl on her lips. I stop half-way to the door.
"Jaihra is NOT my girlfriend. And we have very important things to talk about," I retort hotly before rushing out of Galexia's frilly, pink bedroom and down the stairs, taking the story book with me. The wood steps creak under my feet as I race down, nearly slipping on the last one.
"Yeah, Jaihra, he's coming," I hear my 21-year-old sister, Andromeda, say, Rounding the corner, I can see her leaning against the counter in a red tank top and shorts, her long brown hair in a messy braid over one shoulder. She has my phone tucked between her hear and shoulder while she casually flips through pages of her sketchbook, twirling a bright blue pencil with her free hand.
"I'm here!" I yell breathlessly in her face.
"Took you long enough," she says, rolling her eyes and handing over the phone, "go take your chatting upstairs. You two 'll talk my ears off. Upstairs!" She commands, pointing her pencil.
"Hi Jaihra!" I greet into the phone.
"Hi Pheonix! Ummm...are you alone??" She asks cautiously, "I have an update on...you know...project Milky Way Sorceress and...uh...the Precious Stone School," she hints not-so-subtly.
"Yeah, just a sec," I answer, dashing back upstairs to my room and bouncing onto my bed.
"Okay! Shoot!" I exclaim, tossing down the story book beside me. It flips open to the title page; which is covered with words I'm glad Galexia can't read yet.
For my nephew, Pheonix. I hope you enjoy my charming adventures!!! Please keep in mind that these are all absolutely true and my heroism was not exagerated in the least. Hope that you can soon join me in Jewel Academy! Once you set out on your journey to find it, that is.

Anyways, I had an idea for the thing with the seven sisters:
So maybe they get to Jewel Academy, and the plot is mainly school stuff for a while, and the characters can explore their abilities a little more, and then Carroll tries to overturn the school or something?

Yes! He's almost 13. He saw what I was doing and thought it would be a fun way to tease me :P he proclaims that he hates everything I like! Do your siblings do that too? Like, we watched the movie Coco a couple nights ago and we all agreed that we liked it, until I said I LOVED it, and then he decided that it was only "okay." Haha. Siblings, right?
That sounds like a great idea for Jewel Academy!! I'd really love to get into some school stuff. Adventures, teachers, food fights, magical mishaps, it'll be like Harry Potter, Keeper of the Lost Cities, and a touch of Star Wars (just cuz) around here!! I had kind of a basic outline that we can or don't have to follow. Like, we go to Earth, have some fun, get up to some shenanigans, and then we have to make one more stop before Jewel Academy for some reason (I have a plot idea with the bad guys always catching up with them...let's just say some murder, love, and betrayal on a CB level mwahahahaha), and that stop happens to be the Planet of Secrets, where they find out some truths about their family and magic. Then, they head to Jewel Academy, have some crazy adventures (magical sports! Games! Dares! Magical pets!! New friends!!! Books!!!), and then Caroll can invade and everyone could come together?
How does that sound?

Oooh! I just had a crazy idea! What if a stowaway from Earth boarded the ship? I know we already have a lot of characters (*coughcoughallmycrazycharacters*), so this might not be a good idea, but it could totally add some excitement to the story!

Here is the promised summary if anyone who has been following the RP wants to join, or just for organization's sake. Sorry if this sounds a little repetitive, it's just since we keep building onto the RP it's nice to have all the info in one place to come back to.
Background (before the RP)
The universe is balanced by the Seven Immortal Sisters, the embodiment of magic itself and its seven forms, represented by the colors black, white, purple, yellow, blue, red, and green. Each has a different distinguishment. This magic along with its distinguishment sometimes forms in mortal, previously unmagical people. So, it "chooses" them. It fuses with their personality and appearance, typically showing up at age 12, with a few exceptions.
Black magic is based on wisdom, knowledge, and community. They are powerful in these things, but not violent.
White magic is full of personality, charm, and strength. It is very powerful, causes interesting and individual responses in those who have it. Like Lyra's wings.
Purple magic is dangerous and violent. It's great for fighting, and very powerful. It is hard to control and sometimes strikes out from the people it chooses, usually leading them down dark paths and twisting their personality. It does unexpected things, like show up earlier than age 12.
Yellow magic is soft and mellow. People with yellow magic can only use a bit at a time without causing great physical strain on their bodies. This magic is a type of magic used for strengthening others, not fighting, as Phoenix is (slowly and reluctantly) learning.
Red magic is whimsical and gentle. It enables people who have it to form strong mental bonds with others, and often gives them special healing powers. People who have red magic often have kind, open hearts.
Blue magic is wild and unpredictable. It is violent and can easily be used as a weapon. It is daring, sly, and determined. Blue magic is dangerous, but especially strong and determined people (like Andromeda) can get a good hold on it and let it meld with their personalities instead of letting it take them down a dark path.
Green magic is helpful to others, and people who have it always look youthful. Their magic is focused on growth, the wholeness of life, and connection to nature.
Humans or other beings who do not have magic (the majority of people) actually have the potential to develop a special power, like Jaihra's ability to see auras, but these rarely surface as it requires contact with magic. This is difficult because laws banning contact with magic are popping up all over the universe because of its danger and unexpected tendencies. Association with magic is punishable by a sentence to Star System 003, rumored to be many terrible things, the least a lonely exile.
THE STORY!!!
Strange things happen on a planet far from Earth, where everything is structured and monitored severely, and change and individuality are scarce. Sam discovers she has magic. Phoenix Starz gets a note from someone claiming to be his aunt, the white immortal sister, telling him his mother who disappeared years ago is actually Chastice, the yellow immortal sister. Lyra struggles to hide her wings. Jaihra hacks stuff. Andromeda Starz pretends to be unaware of the magic around her, carefully hiding her own magic and special combat skill set. And Dom...we don't exactly know what Dom was doing. Probably eating a sandwich. Dathan was also probably eating a sandwich. Without tomatoes.
Meanwhile, Raja is chosen to attend Jewel Academy and Saphira is sent hurtling from space in a mission to help our crazy ragtag bunch. Then, the Official's discover the Starz connection with magic, setting things in motion. The characters come together while taking a journey to the fabled Jewel Academy on planet Orptha, run by the good immortal sisters, where they can find a haven for magic-wielders. Along the way, they meet friends in fairyland (Zephyr!), discover crazy things about the insane Starz family (Andromeda has blue magic! Oh my gosh Galexia has purple magic!), fall in love (Androminique forever), and exchange the coolest adventure quips (we love you Jaihra and Raja). Now, they are halfway through their journey, refueling at Earth. This would be a good opportunity for new characters to jump aboard if you wanted to make some. Just start writing. No charrie sheet necessary.
Okay, I hope that wasn't too long since it's just covering stuff. I just find that it's really easy to have a recap and important info all in one spot. And if anyone wants to make new characters, magic, alien, human, or otherwise (or immortal sister. They would be fun to play), they are welcome to.

I started writing a detailed synopsis of the entire plot, which will be complete as soon as Dom and Dathan finish their sandwiches. ;)

Good idea. My plot synopsis was more silly than actually informative. But I'm afraid Dathan, at least, did not finish his sandwich, because it was stolen by a robotic seagull. :P

My charrie's name will be Nihil, same as my Captcha. *Shrugs* I couldn't think of a better name. She is open to shipping with a boy. Her magic type is white and she wants desparately to get off of Earth. Good? :)

WAIT following Dumbledore's idea, could I change Sacra's magic to a silver magic? It's different than all of the other magicks, but yet is like them all in one way or another. *Daydreams*
