I did some searching in the internet and found some ideas for a substitute name for the WoodOnes.

Nemus means wood in Latin.  Coetus means group in Latin.  Silva means forest in Latin.  Arcanus means hidden in Latin.  Seditio means rebellion in Latin.  Homines means people in Latin.

Just some ideas.  You can stick words together and sometimes they turn out sounding really good. Sometimes a word, or two, in a different language makes a perfect name.

these are great, @Peregrine! unfortunetlly, i think its too late for me to change WoodOnes to something else... BUT, the leader of the WoodOnes (whom the charries will eventualy meet!) is now named Silva Irithi. do yu recognize Silva? :D

Name: Silva Irithi

Gender: Female

Powers: The powers of talking to any animal, transforming into a dove, and growing flowers. (that may be too OP but she is the leader of the WoodOnes... and she hardly appears so...)

Appearance: Silver hair, silvery-grey eyes, pointed ears with earrings made from dove feathers, a wreath of silver flowers in her hair. She's really tall, and she always wears a flowy silver dress that ripples with colors (like rainbow oil flowing down the cloth) and she wears leather sandles.

Personality: Cold and calculating, but caring for the hard-working people who dedicated themselves to the WoodOnes. She always keeps her cool, even though she has a horrible temper that shes spent years taming.

Are they part of the WoodOnes?: Yup, shes the leader!

Other: Her motto is Research First, Then Fight, and she owns millions and millions of books.

yeah, i really hope this turns out well! im ALWAYS looking for feedback and comments.

PART ONE

Ameiyla glanced over at Amaia and mouthed, Let's Hurry. Amaia nodded and shouldered her bag full of jam jars. Ameilya slipped her hand into Amaia’s and they started to walk down the moonlit road, jam jars clanking in their burlap satchels.

“Maia, do you think we’ll even get the medicine?” Ameilya asked her twin.

“Meilya, shush. Of COURSE we’ll get it! I mean, who can resist these jams?” Amaia gestured at her bag, then quickly pulled Ameiyla off the road.

“Shh…  there's someone in the woods…” Amaia pushed Ameiyla down into the bushes and they watched a shadowy figure race through the forest on the opposite side of the road. Seconds after the person was out of sight, another shadowy figure chased after the first, a long black cloak whipping around their ankles. Ameiyla counted to ten under her breath, then she stood up and brushed leaves off her white t-shirt and adjusted her black headband. Amaia attempted to fix a rip in her acid-washed jeans and failed. They started to walk again, arms linked, red-brown and white-blonde hair swinging as they made their way toward the lights of the Night Market.

Robyn had been running for an hour now, but the cloaked figure chasing her (Robyn assumed he was a Thryxxite) was relentless. She ducked under a low-hanging branch dripping with moss and squirmed into a small hole between two rocks. She heard a thump behind her and a low groan. The Thryxxite didn't see the branch in time… She thought gleefully. But she knew Thryxx’s follower wouldn't stay down for long… best to keep moving. So she crawled out from the rocks and started to sprint again. She hadn't been running a minute when she heard the small crunch of the Thryxxite’s footsteps were audible again. With footsteps that loud, no wonder he wears a cloak and mask. Robyn thought, looking down at the thin covering of leaves on the earthy ground. Her bare feet made hardly any noises, and she skipped nimbly over twigs without breaking her sprint. Finally Robyn burst through the trees and stumbled onto a cobblestone square filled with people, stalls, and not a Thryxxite in sight. This was the Night Market.

Forrest yawned as he fixed the position of a necklace on the covered table. His hand strayed to the small dagger strapped at his side, fingering the blade. He leaned his head on his hands and stared at the other stalls (which had customers) and sighed. He yawned again and put the ‘emergency sale’ box on the table. He started to unpack it, lifting out jewelry made from precious stones, carved wooden boxes, silk handkerchiefs, all sorts of good stuff that people might buy. The bad part about working at the Night Market… it's night. And I'm TIRED. He thought, stifling another yawn. A well-dressed woman stepped up to the table, looked over the items, and walked away again. He sighed and leaned his head against the table. Another hour passed of hardly anyone buying, and Forrest decided to pack up. Sleeping was worth less payment from his boss… Forrest wrapped each unsold item and put it back in its respective box. The table was almost cleared when he saw a flash of movement in the trees bordering the Market. He squinted, his dark green eyes narrowing as he tried to make out the shadowy person in the trees. Suddenly, a girl with golden-brown hair tumbled out into the Night Market.

Bradley slipped around a stall, fingering the strap on his heavy bag. He wasn't quite looking where he was going and Bradely tripped over a small crate and landed with a OOMPH! on the cobblestones. He stared up at the starry sky, groaning from the impact with the irregular-shaped stones. Suddenly a face blocked out several of the stars, dark green eyes twinkling humorously at Bradley. A hand stretched out and Bradley took it gratefully, standing up and brushing off his brown hat, which had gotten slightly crushed in his fall. He held out his hand and watched as his tan skin shifted into a brown-grey wolf paw, then back into human form. He smiled slightly, then realized the boy who had helped him was staring. Bradley’s smile melted off his face and he shifted back and forth on his feet. But the boy didn't look mean or scared, he looked intrigued. Then he asked, “Who are you, exactly? And what are you doing in the Night Market?”

 <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Ameilya shifted her satchel to her right shoulder and stepped onto cobblestone square of the Night Market, Amaia right next to her. There, Ameilya mouthed, pointing to a stall with a sign saying Directions, Prophecies, And More.

“He-hello… we were wondering if you could direct us to the medicine stall?” Amaia squeaked, then repeated herself a little louder. The stall owner grumbled something indistinguishable and pointed to a shabby-looking stall surrounded by a mob of people all shouting orders and names of medicines and illnesses. Ameilya nodded thank you and tugged on Amaia’s arm. They hurried over to the medicine stall and pushed through the crowd of people.

“Hello? Can-can we have the remedy for Shkluensor Flu? Our grandma is sick…” Ameilya swallowed her fear of the gnarled stall owner. She HAD to help Grandma… The stall owner passed her a crystal bottle swirling with blue liquid. Amaia squeaked thank you and dumped her bag of jams on the table and they hurried away. But before they could reach the road, screams broke out from across the Night Market.

Robyn ducked behind a stall and dashed past a row of crates. When several crashes came from behind her, she knew the Thryxxite had taken the same route. Someone shouted right when Robyn pushed a pile of boxes into the Thryxxite’s path. Several people screamed as the Thryxxite shoved past them. Robyn somersaulted into a narrow gap between two stalls, hoping the Thryxxite couldn't follow her… but her cloaked pursuer simply knocked over the stalls and Robyn was forced to squirm out from under the stalls and she crawled blindy away from the Thryxxite. When she opened her eyes, all she could see was cobblestone. Robyn slowly lifted her head.... But the Thryxxite’s foot pushed her head back down. With her freckle-splattered nose touching the cobblestone, Robyn realized she was in the middle of the Night Market, in plain sight, isolated, and trapped.

Forrest studied the boy in front of him. He had brown hair, icy blue eyes, and a floppy hat. Forrest smiled slightly and repeated the sentence;

“Who are you? What are you doing in the Night Market?”

“I… I just came to get food for tomorrow, and a new hat.” Ice-eyes said. He adjusted the strap on his bag.

“Ok… but who are you?” Seeing Ice-eyes wasn't going to answer, Forrest shrugged.

“Well, you can trust me. Im Forrest, and don't worry, I’m not danger-”

“Your FORREST? Is your name spelled with two Rs?” Ice-eyes interrupted.

“Uh… yeah? Why does it matter?” Forrest replied.

“There's only one person I’ve heard of whose name is Forest with two Rs… are you in the WoodOnes?” Ice-eyes whispered.

“Yeah…” Forrest’s hand gripped the hilt of his dagger. If Ice-eyes was an enemy…

“Me too. I'm Bradley, and I've never met another WoodOne before.” Ice-eyes -no, Bradley- smiled and was about to say something when screams filled the air.

Bradley was dancing inside. He thought he would never meet another WoodOnes… but here was Forrest with two Rs! He opened his mouth to speak, but someone screamed, and then another scream, and soon everyone was screaming and shouting. Bradley needed to find out what was going on…

“Don't freak out, Forrest!” He whispered, and then he closed his eyes and shifted into a silver owl.  Bradley spread his wings and soared through the night sky across the Market, toward a cluster of people in the middle of the cobblestone square. He swooped closer and saw a golden-brown haired girl spread out on the ground, her green eyes staring at the hooded man standing over her… Bradley wondered why he wore a mask-but then he realized who the man was. Thryxxite!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Ameilya looked over at her sister and Amaia nodded. In unison, they took off their traveling cloaks and wrapped their satchels in the cloaks. They hid the bundles under an abandoned stall, and then they each closed their eyes. A warm tingling spread through her body, and Ameilya shifted into a red kite. She opened her bird eyes and flew off the ground. A quick glance to the side revealed Amaia, in white-tailed kite form. The two sisters rose into the air and flew toward the cluster of people in the middle of the square. Ameilya swooped lower, flying in a wide circle around the people. She caught a glimpse of a girl lying on the cobblestone, her gold-brown hair spread around her face like wings… Why was the girl so familiar? And suddenly, Ameilya remembered where she had seen the girl before: in a picture at her grandma’s house.

Robyn tried to turn invisible, to get away, but she couldn't. The Thryxxite was standing right next to her, and his steely grey eyes behind his wolf mask were fixed directly on Robyn. But even if she managed to get past the Thryxxite, she wouldn't be able to get past the tightly-knit circle of people gawking at her. She looked up, noticing a silver owl and two other birds, one a red kite and the other a white-tailed kite. She wondered why they were there… but then the Thryxxite’s foot connected with her nose and Robyn felt blood gush onto her face. In that moment, she realized she wouldn't leave the Market alive… unless she used magic. Robyn hated to do it, for in her injured state, she would most likely pass out for a while… but she couldn't die. Not today, not here… Robyn closed her eyes and pressed her fingers against the stones. She breathed in a mouthful of blood-scented air and held it. And deep inside the earth, roots twisted up toward Robyns fingers, seeking out life. And Robyn exhaled. The ground rumbled…

And the Night Market erupted with trees.
