This thread's purpose is to contain theories and stories about how the Powers came about and what they could be- besides the Powers of Wing and Claw. I'll post my stories as soon as I come up with them.
Admin: After a week or two, we will create a poll so everyone can vote on which origin story they like best! We might even combine more than one story.

Yes we can do the Warhorn instead of the Whistleharp. Also, I think that your idea is great! So, would that make you my distant cousin? I always make these threads where it just tells what I'm doing and what's happening to me, kinda like the shall we start thread, only smaller. I'll make us meet in one of them!

Can my character, an owl, be related to the Power of Claw serpent in some sort of way? We have sharp talons, basically claws, but since it's on a bird, it's called talons. I can't seem to think up of anything...

Wow. Now that I think of it, we never decided or thought of it. I don't think it should be an instrument where you blow into. Maybe drums?

Because I wrote the Power of Hoof, I'm naming the unicorn mare I so lovingly depicted in my story. Her name is Sylvia.

Whoa, hold the phone. :) We're talking about a lot of things at once here. Moonshadow, I think their spirits should go into the instruments so when played they're released into the world again. Also, I think the boy should find it, try and destroy it, but realize that cant happen. So he puts guards on the instruments, bla bla, you read my story. I think the animals should watch, the ones who are going to guard, and call the human back to tell him that the spirit said Powers can't be killed, and once played the powers will walk the earth/land/sky (whichever one it is) and the poison killed all the powers, one by one, and it was the boy that killed them. And the last beast to die kills him too, but doesn't stop the others from creating B.I.G. in his name. And the scientists discard the poision in a desert, some far ways to go... (Should we kill the Powers a second time?)
We also already got drums, for the unicorn. Maybe something that could be made from a claw, like a zylophone or one of those types of instruments. What should the names for the Griffin, the Serpaint, and the Sea Dragon be?
My captcha says ecio. Maybe that could be the name for the Griffin? Ecio, kind of sounds like echo.

The Power of Hoof is just one small conga drum.
All this death stuff is confusing me. I mean, normally, I'm like, "Death? I'm all for it!" but this bit is confusing. Very. Confusing.
Maybe the Sea Dragon should be named Echlio (like Ecio) unless it's already named.

well, I think it makes more sense if they aren't trapped in the instrument. It seems much more fitting if they are summoned back. Besides, it just doesn't seem right such a small instrument for such beutiful and powerful creatures? I think that the boy should die, but not put animals on guard for the powers. After all, the Powers ruled the once beutiful land of Kyngdom and were loved by all animals. Why would the animals work for him? I think the animals should guard the powers knowing what they can do and knowing that the Powers will need to be summoned. And I think some animals could be distantly related to the powers, or at least the guardians that came from the forest when the Powers died. Because think of Zephyra. She wasn't guarding the power of wing for BIG.
Also, I think the Sea Dragon could be Aquaterio? Because aqua has to do with water? And the Gryphon's name could be, hmm, let's see, well I'll post on it soon. Or the sea dragon could be Aquaecio. Or the serpent could be Ecio because it's like Eco, for land and earth?

ps my CAPTCHA says typh. Maybe that could be the name of the Gryphon? Typhnerr or something? And if people have already named their creatures, like the unicorn, they don't have to change it if they don't want to.

My idea is that all animals have a power or two, like because I'm a cat I have the power of claw and tooth
and all birds have the power of wing and... I think you get the point.
And stuff like the griffen are called "power controllers" and they control their power.
