Harry Potter RP

Harry Potter RP

Harry Potter RP

I recently watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and felt the urge to have a "Tri-Wizard Tournament" RP but this time with a twist so that not only three people participate. This is my idea. Instead of it being a Tri-Wizard Tournament, it's a Multi-Wizard Tournament. That means that the champions don't only come from Beau-Baton, Durmstrang or Hogwarts but they can also come from some wizarding school that you made up. The tournament itself will take place at Hogwarts.

I'll post my character later. Please join! I think this RP could be pretty fun. Plus, I don't think we've had an HP RP in a while.

One more important question: should this be before, during or after Harry?

Okay, I hope I understood all the posts correctly. It was getting hard to read because they were so thin.

So after the Tournament there is going to be a big Death Eater fight with DA and Astrid will switch sides (like Brenning, who was really awesome!)?

Personally, I would rather not kill off everyone. A few deaths is okay but I don’t think it should get too Hunger Gamesy. Also, blowing up Hogwarts would be a big job. Maybe we could have part of it destroyed or something…? Or the Multi-Wizard house is blown up by death eaters?

Basilisks: Awesome idea! However, should this be more of a finale thing? Or we fight baby basilisks in the first event and then in the maze event there are multiple grown-up basilisks? Or there’s a portkey at the end of the maze, which takes us into the Chamber of Secrets where a new basilisk was born and we have to fight that… Or was the Chamber destroyed? I can’t remember.

Yule Ball: I really like the Yule Ball and it would be nice to keep it. We can go without dates if you want…

Events: We really need to get an order for these. So: 1. Magical Creatures. 2. Quidditch (See separate comment on this matter.) 3. Duelling 4. Maze. Did I miss something?

Quidditch: Instead of doing Quidditch as an event we could also just have a quidditch tournament where Malfoy forces the Champions to play a game against some evil Hogwarts students who turn out to be death eaters. There could be a hexed bludger that hits someone (Aimi, perhaps) or something else like that.

Who is this man in the striped suit that Theo and Gollum are talking about?

I hope I covered most topics. Please remind me if I forgot something. And I apologize for posting infrequently. School is crazy busy.

The man in the sharp suit is a character who briefly stalks Mathis until they get on the Hogwarts express.

For some reason I now have a really cute image in my head of baby Basilisk's with tiny fangs...

Spamster in his spamster cage says tbex.  T-rex?  Ibex?  T-basilirex?

I am now picturing baby basilisks too. Odd.

Okay if we don't decide on something soon, this may die. So focus on issue one. What is our first competition going to be?

Animals!  Running into the Woods (forest, forbidden, etc.)!  Seeing what happens!

I'm just going to go ahead and provide a general description of the MultiWizard house, just to get the story rolling again.

Astrid--

After the doors of the Great Hall slam shut, Ulrik starts yelling.

"What do you think you're doing, trying to keep us hostage until you skewer us alive?" he yells.

"Shut up, will you?" One of the guards snaps.  He throws us into a blackened room, and we tumble down a staircase.  As a parting favor he throws a ball of light up into the ceiling, where it stays, doing it's magic light-giving thing.

"Ow." I say, standing up and rubbing my elbow.  I look around the room, which is just a small dungeon-like chamber, with two hallways leading off of two separate corners.

Ulrik is leaning against a wall, his head in his hands. "Why did I even come here?" he mutters, looking up at the ceiling.

Sorry it's short, but I have to go now.

Excellent! Sounds fun!

Now, a short little somethin'.

Danielle ~

Jason, who turned out to be a thin, dark haired Ravenclaw boy, and I were dragged from the Great Hall in total silence, none of the guards saying anything. Jason didn't say anything either, prefering instead to glance around, gaging the guards. I, on the other hand, couldn't manage to keep my mouth shut.

"Where on earth are we going? Why do we have to be dragged there, can't we walk like normal, civilized people? Why are guards even needed? Where are you taking us, what's wrong with our Houses? What the heck is Headmaster Malfoy planning for the Tournament that we have to be held hostage? What's going to happen to us? What about the other competitors? The ones left in the Great Hall? Are they going to be dragged away too? The Snow Queen students? Where are they? Are you taking us to them? WHAT. THE HECK. IS. GOING. ON. HERE?!"

I'm pretty sure I managed to shout all this in less than thirty seconds, though it didn't even take that long to tick the guards off. Jason was looking at me quite odd now, his mouth slightly agape. Either, he had never heard someone ask so many questions at once, or he'd never heard someone talk so fast. Probably both. One of the guards clamped his hand over my mouth, muffling my shouting into loud, indistinguishable garbles.

We were dragged down a dark staircase, though at the bottom, I was roughly thrown to the floor by my evidently annoyed guards. I sat up, rubbing my head and grumbling some strong muggle words that would have horrified my parents. I then noticed Ulrik and Astrid.

"This happen to you too?!" I demanded, showing a now bleeding cut on my arm. I muttered a few more things.

**********************************************************************

This was actually longer than I thought it would be. Mostly due to Danielle's incessant questions. But she was yelling them at me at the top of her lungs, and she was rather annoying and hard to ignore, and she refused to stop until I put them all down. So blame Dannie.

Kyary-

The choosing of the champions is the complete opposite of what I expected.

"And now, the champions from The Japanese Wizarding Academy for Young Witches and Wizards!" Professor Malfoy announced, as if the other Champions hadn't just been dragged out of the great hall by muscle-men. The hall had gone silent. I would have expected people to flee but instead everyone sat there as if under a spell.

Under a spell...

I looked around and noticed that almost all the students' and teachers' eyes were glazed over and their expression was blank. Something was seriously wrong. Why would Professor Malfoy put us under a spell?

"Kyary Smith and Aimi Adachi! Congratulations!" No applause. Out of the corner of my eye I saw four approaching muscle-men. Two grabbed Aimi and the other two lifted me off my seat and dragged me out of the hall. Looking back on the situation, I probably should have tried to bite their arms and scratch them, however I was too busy thinking about why this was happening. I had read about Professor Malfoy's dark past, how his family had served Lord Voldemort and he himself had become a Death Eater while still in school. But Voldemort was gone now. And the Death Eaters, too. Or so I thought.

IN the distance I saw a house that I hadn't noticed before. So that was where we were going?

"This hairdo took me A WHOLE HOUR! This uniform is an original! IT'S GETTING DIRTY! MY FATHER WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS! GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OF ME!" Aimi's wish was more or less granted for moments later the guards tossed us down the stairs into a dark basement. I heard a door slam.

"My Gucci shoes are destroyed." Aimi sniffled.

I heard a snicker come from the corner.

"Who's there?" I squinted my eyes since they hadn't adjusted to the dark yet.

"Ulrik, Astrid, Jason and me, Danielle." A voice next to me said.

"Do you know what we're doing here?"

Astrid--

"No!" I say.  Kyary has asked the question on everyone's minds.  Ulrik is looking up at the ceiling, transfixed by the ball of fire.

"Could someone please tell me whether I smudged my eyeliner?" a snivelling girl whines from the corner.

"Do you honestly care?  We're obviously under the influence of one of Malfoy's Dark schemes, and you are asking about your makeup?" I yell.

"But why are we all together, and seperated from everyone else?" a Hogwarts boy asks.

"Well, there's obviously two teams now, at this point," Danielle says.

"What?  What?  Who are you talking about?  There are five schools here, Danielle!" I say.

"No.  Us and Him."

***

"So you really think he would bring back the Dark Lord?" I ask.  We've all assembled ourselves in a circle under the light.  A few hours have passed, with not much talking between us, the exception being Ulrik and Aimi's one sided mumblings.

"There's a good possibility," Ulrik says.

"But Harry Potter killed him a good fifty years ago... ," Kyary points out.

"Yeah, and ten years before that he killed him again," Ulrik says. "Harry Potter was always a bit of a weakling in the killing Dark master's category."

"Um, then what about the whole Horcrux business?" Danielle asks.

"He could have always had a son, I mean, it's not that improbable," the boy Jason points out.

"And it doesn't necessarily have to be a relative of his.  He had so many followers back in the Dark days one of them could have easily just risen to a place of power and... ," I say, stopping when I realize that's happened already.

I'm here! I'm here!

Mathis~

"Well, that about sums it up!" Headmaster Malfoy grinned once the kids for the Japense Wizarding School had been dragged off.

What about us? I though. I glanced over at Cadge, who looked crestfallen. Him. It had to be him. Plus, with a school as small as ours, I suppose there was no guarantee any of us would be in the tournament. And he'd jinxed for all of us, whatever he did. I felt very frustrated. I mean, I hadn't really wanted to be int he tournament, right? I would've been fine if Caden or Rosa had been picked by the goblet.

Another part of me disagreed. No, it said. They're useless. You're not. You DESERVE to be in the tournament.

I wanted to ignore that part of me. So that's what I did. For the rest of the day, I carried on like normal doing whatever activities they threw at us. None of us saw the kids who had gotten picked from the Goblet. It was errie, but I felt like I was the only one who noticed.

I guess spending time around Rosa and Caden will do that to you, I though. Ignorant people make you feel special. Even when you're not.

At dinner, the kids chosen from the goblet still were not present. I tried to shrug it off, but I noticed. But even Rosa and Caden noticed when Headmaster Malfoy walked over to our small school in the corner of the table.

"Cadge," he said. "I need to talk to you and your student in my office. Now."

So much for dinner, I thought, but I didn't really mind.

"You were caught," I said to Cadge, smirking. "And now were all punished. I can't even care anymore."

Malfoy's office was still circular, like Dumbledor's had been back in the day. Still the same room, but far more menacing.

"Now take a seat," Malfoy said to us. There was only one chair, and as Cadge took it, the rest of us opted to sit on the floor.

Malfoy held up five pieces of paper. "Care to explain?" he asked.

Upon furthur examination, one had Rosa's name, one Caden's, and three had the name "Mathis Silver" printed upon them.

I frowned.

"Cadge," Malfoy said. "I trusted you. When I told you about that, I trusted you. But you did it. You cheated." Malfoy didn't look hurt, just angry. Like he expected it but that hoped for better.

Told him what? Did Malfoy know a way to cheat?

"What I do want to know is, if you bothered cheating, why did you bother putting ONE STUDENT'S NAME IN THE GOBLET THREE TIMES."

Cadge faltered. "I... I didn't cheat!"

"Oh, don't lie. The goblet would never have done this unless someone had cheated."

Cadge gave Malfoy a hard look. "Okay. I cheated. But I only entered all their names once."

Malfoy turned to me. "Okay then. Do you know why your name came out three time, Mr. Silver?"

"I... I... No! I don't! I entered my name once, but definitly not twice!"

"Hmm." It was clear Malfoy didn't believe either of us. "Okay then. Well, I'm sorry, Cadge, but we're going to have to penalize your school. Because you cheated, we have no way of knowing what two students the goblet would've truly picked. I spent the whole day trying to figure it out. And you guys are either oblivious or lying. So instead of sending in two students, Cabinet of Irregulars School of Law will enter one student, Mr. Silver." Malfoy leaned into my face. "And remember--At Hogwarts liers and cheaters always lose. Always."

I..... I would be in the tournament! I felt a rush of excitement, but then glanced over at my peers. Rosa and Caden were crestfallen. I had no way of knowing, but id would guess they didn't ask Cadge to cheat. It was very possible that the goblet would have picked the two of them, and not me at all.

My thought was cut off by a knock on the door. "Come in," Malfoy said. Two large guards, the ones who took the other children chosen by the goblet, were at the door. "Are we taking any of them?" one asked in a gruff voice.

"Oh, yes. Mr. Silver here," Malfoy pointed to me.

The guards grabbed me by the arms and dragged me away, making me wonder whether or not I truly belonged in the tornament.

Well, I had to fling Mathis in there somehow. BUT WHO COULD THE THIRD NOTE BE FROM?! Sorry if I messed up on any times, characters, location, etc. I wasn't quite sure what to do.

Astrid--

The next day we were awakened by something falling down the stairs and a very loud groan.

"It's probably another competitor," Danielle said, opening the door and looking down the hall.

"Well that was a bit of a delay." I propped myself up on my elbows.

"What other schools were there?" Kyary asked.

"I think the American one.  The school that had a strange improvised song," I answered.

"What the -?" Ulrik's voice travels.

"Some Goblet trouble," I hear as I walk into the, um, "common room".

"You know, that's just great," Ulrik says. "That's fantastic.  I was thinking something like that would happen.  Yup.  I thought of that.  No one paid attention."

"You didn't tell us anything, Ulrik.  We couldn't pay attention if you weren't talking to us," I say.

"Exactly!  No one even remembers!" Ulrik says.

"Is he a tad crazy in the head?" Kyary asks me.

"I guess he is now."

Gah! Busy busy busy.

Danielle ~

I figured we would all be going mad by the end of this, Ulrik was just the first to crack.

"No one else?" I asked after a moment, when the guards didn't drag another student in.

"Uh, no, just me," Mathis said.

"Fantastic," I muttered, throwing myself back into one of the things that I thought was a sofa or couch or something, though its fabric was incredibly dated, and it was quite dusty and smelled vaguely of mildew. "This is weird, this whole thing is rigged. What the heck are we gonna be doing?"

No one offered any suggestions.

"Are we trapped here?" Mathis said after a moment. "Like, are we confined to this tower?"

I sat up.

"Are we?"

I made my way up the stairs, though it was difficult not being able to see them. Finally, I felt a door. I gripped the doorknob, twisting and yanking.

"It... won't... budge!" I shouted through gritted teeth. Finally, I just started pounding on the door to see if I would get any responce. I did.

"Ow," I muttered, lying on the ground where a guard had hurled me back down the stairs. I'm sure I looked quite ridiculous, sprawled out in my white nightgown, but at this point, I was too ticked off to care.

"Well, I guess that answers that," Kyary said.

"See?!" Ulrik shouted. I rolled my eyes.

**********************************************************************

Soooo, that didn't do much of anything, other than establish we're alone. Are we alone? I don't know if we're actually, like, separated from the other students, but if not, completely ignore this. Now what?

Maybe we are in classes with normal students, but held in the back of the classroom with guards, so we can't talk to anyone?  Or we could just start the first event.  Or random things could happen.
