Harry Potter RP

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Harry Potter RP

Harry Potter RP

I recently watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and felt the urge to have a "Tri-Wizard Tournament" RP but this time with a twist so that not only three people participate. This is my idea. Instead of it being a Tri-Wizard Tournament, it's a Multi-Wizard Tournament. That means that the champions don't only come from Beau-Baton, Durmstrang or Hogwarts but they can also come from some wizarding school that you made up. The tournament itself will take place at Hogwarts.

I'll post my character later. Please join! I think this RP could be pretty fun. Plus, I don't think we've had an HP RP in a while.

One more important question: should this be before, during or after Harry?

Yeah I was thinking along those lines. I mean, if ya'll want, we can change that, I was just throwing somethin' out there. We could just start on the first event, or whatever. Just top with this thread! DON'T DIE. Top!

Kyary-

I woke up in the morning feeling bruised and tired. I do not recommend sleeping on stone floors. After what felt like an hour - it was hard to tell since the cellar was always dark - we heard a door open and I group of guards came down the stairs.

"Oh my gosh! I can finally redo my eyes! Thank goodness!" Aimi cried, launching herself at one of the guards. However she was caught in mid-air and flung towards the wall. The guard muttered something that sounded like: "Attack blocked." Aimi's body had gone limp. In the dim light, I noticed the shock on the other champions' faces. Was she...?

"Under order of Sir Headmaster Professor Draco Malfoy, you are to attend classes like every normal Hogwarts student today." Another guard had come down the stairs and now stood before us as if reciting lines.

"We can sleep in a bed?" Danielle exclaimed.

"Under order of Sir Headmaster Professor Draco Malfoy, you are to attend classes but sleep and dine in the cellar."

"Can you tell Sir Headmaster Professor Draco Malfoy that Sir Wizard Captive Ulrik (INSERT LASTNAME) is going to kick his butt if he leaves us down here for one more day?" Ulrik said.

"I only take orders from Sir Headmaster Professor-"

"Enough with the name already!" Astrid groaned. The guard ignored her, only grabbed her arm and pulled her off up the stairs like a robot. Soon, the rest of us were dragged up the stairs, too.

If this isn't what you guys are thinking of, just ignore this post. :)

Astrid--

"Did you see them?" "They looked awful!" "When do you think they're actually going to be in the tournament?" While we sat in the back of the classes, trying to pay attention, there were whispers traveling through the students.

"Gryffindor and Ravenclaw can practice over on the side field, and we'll have a match for the Slytherins versus the Multi Wizard competitors.  Hufflepuff can take a break," the Quidditch coach says, reading from a clipboard. "You have five minutes to organize yourselves."

"Oh, gosh," Danielle says. "I'm really more of a skateboarder, I really am.  This is crazy."

"No more the usual," I say, trying to remember what Ulrik played back at Snow Queen.

"If everyone else is fine, I can be Keeper," Ulrik volunteers.

"Great!  Yes!  Fantastic!" I say, happy to not need to remember things. "Does anyone else have a preferred team position?"

"We were kind of small to have a Quidditch team, so-" Mavis begins.

"Excellent!  Left chaser!" I quickly and randomly assign other positions since no one else seems to want to. "And I was Seeker at Snow Queen?" I ask, hoping that at least one other person has played Quidditch.

"I was the alternate for Ravenclaw..." Jason speaks up.

"Oh my gosh!  I can't just hit balls at people!  It will chip my nails!" Aimi squeals.  That blow to the head must have given her more brain damage than before.

"How are you Beater wise?" I ask, thinking if I can switch Aimi and Jason then maybe there will be less crises.

"I'm okay."

"Great!  Aimi, you're right Chaser and Jason is our second Beater!  I'll take Seeker, in that case."

***

I didn't know everyone's positions on character's Quidditch abilities, so if anyone wanst to change this that would be good.  I also realized that if Aimi doesn't have a minor concussion, then we have the exact amount for a Quidditch team!  Yay!

Danielle ~

Classes were a nightmare. I'd never exactly welcomed attention, and having the entire school watching us made me fell like I was on stage at Carnegie Hall. Then came Quidditch.

I wasn't totally cool on the idea of Quidditch. I prefered being on the ground, not defying gravity, on a board that I could control. My first time on a broomstick... not gone well.

Astrid took to assigning positions, which I was perfectly fine with. I didn't really know what I was doing anyway. I became a chaser. I was instructed that my main goal was to get the Quaffle, and hurl through one of the opposing teams hoops. Simple enough. Getting the hang of riding a broom, not so much.

"This is not as easy as everyone makes it look!" I shouted, trying to just remain still. "If any fatalities happen, I CANNOT be blamed! I am not a liability! Per say."

But after a little while of practice, I started to get the hang of it. It wasn't so different from riding a skateboard. I glanced over at the Slytherin team.

"Well," I said, feeling just a little worried. "This'll be interesting."

**********************************************************************

I don't know why Danielle shouted that. She was yelling at me, reading over my shoulder, and shaking me, demanding I put that in. So there. Blame Dannie, she's the liability.

Note: I'm going to be REALLY busy this weekend and next week, plus my computer may be getting fixed, so I may not be able to get on. Please keep Dannie going for me!

So I'll be gone for a week and won't be able to post. Hopefully we can keep this alive.

Kyary-

In the end, I was assigned first beater. I had played Quidditch once in my life and it had been enough. The only positive aspect of being a beater was that I could slam people with my bat.

"One more minute!" The quidditch coach called. I glanced at the other team, a group of Sltherins clad in green, muscly and with scrunched pug faces as if they had been hit by bludgers a few too many times.

"Okay, this may not be the best situation and we might not be the best team but you just have to remember a few things. Chasers, score goals. Beaters protect us and pulverize Slytherin. Keeper - uh - I guess you know what to do." Before I knew it, the whistle blew and I was up in the air, bat in hand and with a slight sense of satisfaction. I would show Malfoy he was messing with the wrong people.

Uhhh... So, this'll probably be terrible, but oh well.

Danielle ~

I was slightly anxious as the Quidditch coach briefed us.

"Ready competitors?" she called. We nodded, while the Slytherin team just smirked. The quaffle was thrown into the air, and the game was on. A Slytherin chaser shot forward, snatching the ball out of the air. I was on his tail in an instant. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Astrid rising into the air, looking for the snitch. I prayed she'd find it soon, so this would be over. I returned my full attention to the Slytherin boy in front of me. He swerved madly, trying to lose me. Thankfully, my years of skateboarding had paid off. I managed to stay just behind him, though he was able to stay just in front of me. We were fast approaching the goals. Ulrik hovered in front of them, tense and ready. The Slytherin chaser hurled the ball, though Ulrik blocked it easily.

"Don't let yourself get behind them! Get in front of or beside them," Ulrik shouted at me. I nodded, and flew back into the game.

***********************************************************************

That was pathetic, and brief, but there ya go. I honestly don't know how to write a Quidditch game.

Astrid--

I shoot up above the game, waiting until the Snitch is released.  I circle the field, noticing what the other players are up to.  Danielle is tailing another Chaser madly, and Ulrik is nervously guarding.

Whoosh!  I barely dodge out of the way of a Bludger.  Jason follows it and hits it back down into the playing... air, I guess you would call it.

There is a commotion from the crowd, and I look over to see if someone has scored a point.  The scores are tied at zero.  I look down at the Slytherin goal posts, and hovering above the right one is a scrap of gold.  I dive for it, almost flying into another Bludger.

The Snitch speeds away, and I just barely bang into one of the goals.

"Don't try to score yourself, Death Eater." the Slytherin goal keeper says.  He looks nasty, and is missing a couple teeth.

"Don't worry." I smirk, and try to get a glimpse of the Snitch.

"And another ten points for Slytherin." the instructor shouts.  While I was chasing the Snitch, the Slytherin team had gotten 30 points.  Drat.

Snitch!  I spot it, hovering just below Ulrik.  I dive again, trying to get below the general playing level.  I zoom across the field, my hand reaching up for the Snitch and-

Wham!  I catch the Snitch and a Bludger hits me in the side.  The whistle blows, and the game is over.

Hope that wasn't too horrible...

Back! Hope this is okay...

Kyary-

Thirty to nothing. It wasn't looking too good, plus a Slytherin was clearly trailing Astrid, who had her entire senses focused on the snitch. If only she could get it. Just then I heard a whistling and looked up just in time to see a bludger coming straight at me. My thoughts went fast: if I could hit the bludger at the right angle then I could hit the Slytherin and Astrid could catch the snitch.

I really should have considered the fact that I had only played Quidditch once because then the following would have never happened:

I slammed the bludger as hard as possible. It was flying in the right direction and it looked as if it would hit the Slytherin but suddenly it turned sharply - almost as if it were jinxed - and hit Astrid in the chest.

I screamed as I watched Astrid and her broom plummet to the ground.

"YOU KILLED HER!" I turned around to see Aimi flying at me. Seconds later she hit me with full force and we soared towards the ground together. "YOU TRAITOR! HOW COULD YOU? WHY WOULD YOU KILL A FELLOW CHAMPION! THIS IS A DISGRACE!" While Aimi went nuts, clawing at me like a wild cat, I wondered why she suddenly cared so much about her fellow teammates. The whole time I tried to ignore the horrible feeling in my stomach. Had I really killed Astrid? With a bludger?

Astrid--

"You killed our Seeker!  You don't just murder your teammates, Kyary!" Aimi screeches.

"Are you okay?  Astrid, how many fingers am I holding up?" Ulrik leans over me, waving all his fingers in my face.  Someone gives him bunny ears.

"Twelve," I say, trying to stand up.

"She's concussed," Ulrik concludes.

"She has perfectly fine vision." A professor grabs me by the shoulders and starts leading me back to the castle. "She needs to see Madame Pomfrey."

"I'm fine, what are you talking about?" I pull away and gather up my broomstick. "I got hit with a Bludger, so what?"

"Yes, you got Bludger, Astrid," Ulrik says. "That's not just a papercut."

"Obviously," I say. "I might have a slight bruise, which I wouldn't get from a papercut."

"Young lady," the professor says, "you are going to the infirmary whether you like it or not.  You have most likely broken several ribs."

"If you're going to keep bugging me over nothing, then I will come, just so I can go on doing normal things," I say, putting my broom over my shoulder.

The professor leads me away from the Quidditch field, but when we're going up the stairs to the castle I fall over.

Ow. I clutch my ribcage in pain. Ow. I curl up into a ball, trying to get away from it.  Ow.

"That is exactly what I'm talking about, young lady, now if you would please come here we can get to Madame Pomfrey as soon as-- would you stop that infernal screaming?"

I stop, realizing I had been keening like a dog.  I try and stand up, but am still doubled over.  My broomstick has dropped, and the professor picks it up.

"And I would disable the Lumos charm on those earrings, if I were you," she says as she sits me down in the Infirmary. "Someone may notice."

Danielle ~

By the end of the game, I was left dangling by one hand, having been jarred by one of the Slytherin chasers, but I saw Kyary hit a bludger, and it rocket straight into Astrid, who plummets to the ground. Naturally, Aimi starts screaming her head off, some gibberish about Kyary trying to kill Astrid.  I haul myself back onto the broom, and fly down to the ground.

People have already surrounded Astrid, who was insisting she was fine. I couldn't help but snort. I'd had skating accidents that didn't come anywhere near as bad as what happened to Astrid, and had pretty nasty injuries.  A protesting Astrid was led off field, and the Quidditch coach pronounced us the winners, Astrid having managed to catch it just before the bludger hit. I walk over to Ulrik, Jason, Kyary, Aimi, and Mathis stood together. Aimi was still goin goff on on Kyary, who looked almost ill.

"Hey," I said striding up, broom over my shoulder. "It wasn't your fault."

Kyary looked at me, as if trying to believe it. I lay my hand on her shoulder, shaking her slightly. "Astrid will be fine. She's tough, and Madame Pomfrey will fix her up fine. We'll go see her after we get changed."

The others nodded, and we filed off the Quidditch field.

***

"Hey, that was a fantastic win!" I said grinning as we strode into the infirmiry. Astrid sat on on a bed, looking slightly disgruntled. "Better than all my near skating fatalities put together!"

We each found seats, perching on chairs or the edge of beds. I glanced around, and noticed no one else was here.

"No one else has wanted to see the Quidditch warrior champion?" I teased. Astrid shrugged.

"No other students have permitted," Madame Pomfrey said, striding past.

"Great," Mathis grumbled. "Just another way to isolate us off."

Astrid--

"Great," Mathis grumbles.  "Just another way to isolate us off."

"Fantastic.  Just fantastic.  Excellent, most certainly." Ulrik says.

"It's not just annoying, it's useless." I point out. "There is literally no good reason why they would want us seperate from the rest of the school."

"Malfoy doesn't work with good reasons." Kyary says.

"You would honestly think that after the Dark Lord was defeated, twice, I might add, that they might just let go if it all by now." Danielle points out. "But no, somehow they think that You-Know-Who is going to be resurrected and that time they will actually succeed in taking over the world."

I think for a second.  If I were a Death Eater, would I really just accept the death of my leader that quickly and just go on with civilian life?  Or would I hold on to any last possible scrap of a resurrection?

"Maybe they have another leader starting to emerge?" I suggest.

"Hopefully not." Ulrik says. "Because they're not going to find one.  He is probably the most evil person that could ever be created."

"But with all these Death Eater disturbances happening, it looks like a possibility." I say.

"Everybody OUT!" Madam Pomfrey shouts, pushing everybody towards the door. "She needs rest, you'll all see her tomorrow!"

"Bye!" I yell, trying to wave. "Conversation to be continued?"

Kyary-

"Bye!" I yell, trying to wave. "Conversation to be continued?"

"Yeah! I cannot wait to talk about death eaters' plans for world domination." Ulrik yelled while the rest of us waved at Astrid before Madame Pomfrey slammed the hospital door in our faces.

However, the conversation was not to be continued, for Malfoy annouced the next day - he had made sure we were dragged back into school by the strange, possibly muggle, guards - that the first task was to take place that afternoon.

"This afternoon?" Aimi whispered anxiously. "I haven't had time to write to Daddy. And what about my nails? They have to match my outfit!"

"Oh, shut up about your nails already." Ulrik groaned. "The question is: how are we supposed to stay alive? And what about Astrid?"

"Does he really expect her to participate?" Danielle asked, wrinkling her forehead in thought.

"Of course, he does." The others stared at me. I continued, trying not to feel nervous with multiple eyesballs directed on me. "It's just one less person to worry about. Plus, there's a possibility that..." I trailed off not wanting to say it.

"What possibility?" Aimi cried.

Danielle rolled her eyes. "But is Astrid that much of a threat?"

"Maybe. I don't know if it has to do with Astrid or not but he's trying to show us that he can control us and, well, we have to prove him wrong."

"But first," Ulrik spoke up. "We have to tell Astrid."

Astrid--

"I don't mean to be rude, but you fixed my ribs yesterday!  I think I can go back to classes today!" I'm starting to get irritated.  After I asked to go back to Ulrik and everyone, Madame Pomfrey refused.

"Your ribs have broken again, young lady.  Now get some rest."

"How could they have been broken again?  I've just been lying down the entire day!" I say.

"That bludger was rigged, young lady.  Malfoy has chosen to ignore that, but some dark spell has entered your body," Madam Pomfrey says.

"The Multi-Wizard tournament starts tomorrow!  I have to be there!" I say.

"You are staying here unless Headmaster Malfoy personally requests that you rejoin your comrades!"

I sit down on the bed, feeling that I've lost.  When I've closed the curtain, I hear the door open, and the unmistakable sound of heeled shoes on cobblestone floors.

"Madame Pomfrey?" the sick voice of Headmaster Draco Malfoy fills the infirmary.  "I have heard that Astrid Grimsenn is still here from yesterday's unfortunate Quidditch game."

"Yes?" the shrill voice of Madame Pomfrey joins him.  I tip toe to where the curtains meet and peek out.

"I am here to personally request that she rejoin her comrades immediately, as the Multi-Wizard tournament is beginning tomorrow."

In some ways I am happy about this.  If he has repeated exactly what she said, then I have to go, right?  But why would he care...

There is a silence for a long time.

"Yes, Headmaster Malfoy," Madam Pomfrey says hollowly.  It sounds like she's under a spell.  Malfoy means trouble, but my wand is back in the Multi-Wizard house.

"Miss Grimsenn?" Malfoy asks to the room.  Hoping he hasn't seen me, I scurry under the bed.

"But first, we have to tell Astrid," Ulrik said.

"Well come on," I said, jumping up from the table as everyone started exit the Great Hall. But just before we could exit the door, our guards stepped in the way.

"Oookay," I said, "I've had just about enough. We are on our way to see Astrid, that's not a crime. With the first task this afternoon, we have to tell her. Now move it!"

The guards did not seem impressed with my audacity, but instead grabbed each of us, clamped a hand over my mouth, and dragged us back to the Multi-Wizard House. But upon reaching the common room, we were pleasently surprised.

"Astrid!" Aimi shrieked in surprise. Honestly, that girl did screaching and wailing to cover the lot of us.

"So, they finally released you. About time," I said, grinning the lopsided way I did when my nerves were fried.

"Yeah," she sighed, though she seemed a little off.

"You okay?" Kyary asked, evidently having noticed it too.

"Competitors!" one of the guards boomed from the stairs before Astrid could reply. "Begin preparing for the first event. Your clothes are on each of your beds. Be ready within the hour."

Without another word, he turned and left.

***

"This is hideous," Aimi said, ginerly holding her shirt as far away as possible.

True, they weren't exactly fashionable, but they were functional, which was more important.

"Just get dressed," I groaned, grabbing my clothes. Mine were a set of black pants and a black shirt, each with a strip of red and gold on both sides, and the Gryffindor crest hung over my heart. I was also given a set of boots which were far better than my typical school shoes.

"Anyone really ready for this?" Ulrik asked, as we sat in the common room, no one answered. Before we could really dwell on it, the guards filed in, ready to take us to the first challenge.
